Marvel Rivals is the new 6v6 hero shooter from NetEase games. Code from the alpha recently went out so gamers could try out characters such as Loki, Magik and Scarlet Witch. The Black Hokage touches on the roster, beta and the drama involving the contract for some content creators.

Yeah, main issue is balancing , damage on screen option would be nice too . Also, this could be because I suck, but I feel like I’m at a disadvantage when I am melee fighter and I get seen across the map by a ranged fighter lol
Your not bad but I feel like that’s the point if you’re at range your at a disadvantage but that’s why melees have a certain kit like black panther he’s very fast and can close that range quick turn it into an advantage

@@championredd I don’t think that at all , Hulk is really good if the team doesn’t have punisher I always use my Loki ult on hulk , spider man is hard to play but I’ve seen some spider man’s pop off I don’t think melee is weak at all
@@MyHeroIsMiddbro these people just don’t have the skill, melee characters are literally the best type of characters in the game due to insane dashes and high damage in seconds while range characters rely on hitscan and range from the opponent, of which a melee character does not.
yeah I agree, an alpha test is supposed to be made to test the game and if changes are necessarry they should be made but if they silent streamers who are the ones that give their opinion and have access to the game then what are you suppossed to improve 🥶

Whelp. Spiderman is a ganker. He instantly reminded me of Kallari from Paragon, if you remember that game. She was my favorite character in that game and I don’t even like her type of playstyle in these types of games. I like to be a support. But Kallari was absolutely insane, and really had her fair share of challenges. But let me catch you in the jungle solo. I’m ulting to you and slicing your throat. God I miss that game so much.

You wouldn’t intentionally or knowingly sign. When it comes to terms and agreements almost everyone glosses over it and skips to accept just to play the game.

It’d be cool if they added something like guardian from gears of war 2. Both teams have a designated leader that you’ve got to keep alive in order to respawn, once they’re taken out you simply finish off the rest of the team and win the round. It would be simple but with the gameplay they have now and the fact you could alternate the powers of whoever you make the leader by making it some random character out of however many end up on the roster and that could be really fun to play and a decent way to introduce people to other class types they normally wouldn’t try.
Should have done the Gundam overwatch clone in third person would have have helped so much in my opinion 😊

I think the "silencing" was out of fear honestly. Even if the game turned out amazing public opinion and smear campaigns can still kill a good game. Hope this one turns out great though.
I'm glad, at least, that the people who have played off-contract have really positive things to say about it. Looks really fun, making that contract has done more damage to the game than the negative press that it would have gotten, which sucks

They already have said on socials before this video dropped that the language was misleading and its something they are changing with immediate affect. That was earlier this week. Games quality!
I think its important to feature the game as much as the drama. I know its an easy view for that sweet click bait and a shame its the main focus of the video.
Rocket/Groot team up is also a damage reduction for Rocket, not a damage boost.

Not sure why they had that in the contract, most reviews I’ve seen have been mostly positive except for that one clause in the contract hopefully it does get changed and hopefully it does get a console release
The only thing that bothers me are some of the fonts used in the games. They seem so basic! Like menu wise not the text in the actual gameplay.

This game is great and has so much potential but we have to remember this is Disney we are talking about. They are KNOWN for ripping the license from game devs regardless of how the game is doing. So as much as Marvel being a huge IP means that there's so much content we can get....if one day Disney is like Nope....the game will shut down
I just wish for the longest time marvel would make a battle arena Moba type game like smite I feel like that would be a huge sell to marvel fans and it’d have multiple classes with melee characters and ranged characters that aren’t too strong compared to each other. Shooters are too niche and melee characters are gonna have a high skill ceiling where it’ll end up being where everyone plays ranged characters. I haven’t played but reading comments characters like Spider-Man hulk panther have a hard time being able to do what they need to because they’re not meant to shoot so to speak.

Honestly scarlet witch isn’t that op , 2-3 headshots could kill and as Loki when I take her ult I rarely get it off because I get 3 shotted before I get it off but punisher I agree especially with Rocket

That’s just an NDA contract. Every game has had this at one point or another. I can guess the reason they did this is because of the “It’s just cheap copy of Overwatch.” Overwatch is the hot topic of hero shooters rn. The game is in a bad state and goes down each season.If you love the game that’s great, but majority of Overwatch players are tired of the false promises and bad patches. I think Rivals needs to be a competitor of Overwatch, so the Overwatch devs can take a look at what they are doing and what can bring back the excitement Overwatch use to bring. But for now I hope both games can thrive and prosper.

I think the aim was to stop unwanted malice towrads the game due to Marvel/Disney questional decisions with the brand. Whoever wrote that contract should have done a better job differentiating malice and constructive criticism seeing as the game is in alpha, feedback would due nothing but help the game.

Frankly you need bad reviews so you can see what places don’t hold up. Or anything needs to be patched, for example what if I’m stuck in a bug that I can’t get out of, of course I’m gonna write a bad review saying, the game is fun, but this bug is….etc
I see why they made the ruling, but it’s just a bad look to include it no matter the case. It’s sad cause the game looks super good and people really just want the game to be the best it can be. Removing the ability to criticize or compare the game makes it fall short when you have an echo chamber that says it’s good as is.

This got blown way out of proportion. It's not a big deal...at all.
The industry standard for Alpha testing is the players signing NDA agreements where they can't say ANYTHING about the game. Why? Because these are very early builds and, understandably, they don't want people reviewing unfinished copies of their game. The only difference between those NDA agreements and what you see in marvel rivals, is if you want to say good things about MR they will allow you to do that. If this agreement was in the full release then yeah it would be a red flag, but for an Alpha it's completely understandable and not a big deal at all.

This doesn't seem like that big of a deal on a alpha because it all can change, if it was a beta I would completely understand being mad at this. This seems like 50% tbh trying to have a good title for a video 50% marvel doing a bit too much in a contract.
