My experience with ESFPs is that ESFPs have great people awareness, body intelligence, social intelligence, practical intelligence, quick witted, great performers, open mindedness, easily forgive people. Now, what would be interesting though, how does an ESFP in INTJ like profession (Quantum physicist or Philosophy Professor) interface with an INTJ with ESFP like profession ( Formula 1 driver or Singer/performer)? How would the functions manifest in such personalities?
I find how the ESFPs in the video express themselves to be very intriguing and different from other types, especially NTs. It's raw and less cerebral. They speak much faster.
This is so good. I have a cousin I think is ESFP, and my best friend from college is ISFP. As someone who does not have Se, I have to say it's so valuable to me. I'll forget about real life, I'll forget to actually have really truly new experiences in the real world, and Se people will come into my life and show me what I'm missing and that's so good! Going out hiking, riding on a motorcycle, playing the music at MAXIMUM VOLUME, paying attention to my clothes and appearance, not overthinking things and keeping moving forward, all these Se things I can be blind to that I really value you all for! You all are amazing, and we need you!
All this Se appreciation!! Love it, Josiah. Se is really great at helping you get more into your body and making the most of the moment. SFPs are truly fantastic. :)
I really enjoyed this video. These ESFPs are all so adorable, intelligent, articulate, and so very interesting. It's about time there's a video talking about the unfair stereotypes about this type.
Time goes by so fast watching my dear ESFPs... ESFPs are definitely smart, but it’s not their priority to be seen as smart. INTJs are intelligent because we (at least I do) derive our own value from being knowledgeable and competent. The last thing an INTJ wants is to be useless, or a burden to others.
the ESFP's I have known are VERY smart and also VERY ambitious (where we connect), it can just take them a lot of spinning in circles to get on course in life it seems.

Yes, exactly! (Yes, Si is known for keeping mementos, but they won't necessarily *need* these to recall the past.)"
Per Cognitive Personality Theory (CPT) ESFPs are likely to be mistyped as INTJ and INFJ. So, there's no reason anyone should think ESFPs are stupid. I feel like I finally learned enough to answer the questions on a personality type test correctly, and now I am told I am an ESFP. I've been told this before, but it made no sense based on the stereotypes encountered. The description on the site I took the test did not even mention of those, though. It was more what CPT said about ESFPs. But, I will have you know that I have a really high I.Q. - let's not dwell on the details- and I have forever been treated as if I am an idiot by most people.
Here's a bunch of ESFP stereotypes I thought of after watching this video, that were not talked about, and my answers, as an ESFP: 1. ESFPs love academic environments in high school and college-I absolutely hated them. In fact, I would have been a poor student, if I had not taken a bunch of music and theater classes to supplement my high school GPA, and if I hadn't majored in music in college. In fact, I also hated college, because my parents forced me to go. Those years were not a fun time in my life. Only the relationships and music pulled me through 2. ESFPs live to help people, and are great fits for the service professions-No and no. On the career clusters test, service professions are my lowest score, and the only one below the 50/50 threshold. I got stuck working in retail and food service for 17 years, and every day, would try to get out, I hated it so much. My life has been so much better since I got out 😊. By the way, my top career clusters are a dead heat between the arts and the skilled trades with a second place score for math/science 3. ESFPs are the best at sales-false. There are plenty of types who can sell better than me, particularly ESTP and ENFJ. I find I'm really good at closing deals with established customers, but I really stink at creating a customer base. I think the types best at sales are good at creating the customers as well as selling them 4. ESFPs are emotional- no, just no. I am so calm and chill most of the time that people think I'm introverted. In fact, it takes a major experience to move me emotionally. In that, I don't even fit the woman stereotype, that women are emotional. That's got me a lot of flack from others. Also, as a result, about 15 years ago, I gave a group of friends at church a DISC assessment. No one wanted to believe that I was the Primary I, because I'm so easy going and chill. But I was then, and still am
One tip that helped a friend decide is: When you are feeling down, do you like to get praise or do an activity or go outside to a new location to get out of your head, or do you like validation of your vision and help to see the bigger picture? The first would be ESFP, the second would be ENFP.
OMG hahaha I am just seeing your comment! Gave me the biggest chuckle. My mom has always told me I talk way too fast, so I'm sure the speed combined with the southern accent make it challenging even for native English speakers :D PS - we are doing an ESFP vs ENFP panel tomorrow night at 8 PM EST. I hope you tune in and find it helpful!
Are ESFPS dumb? What is the difference between sense of humor and being funny? A funny person is a source of laughter for all people with a sense of humor. I can never be as funny as Bill Burr but I sure as shit understand his humor. A thinker is a source of ideas for all people intelligent enough to understand them. Just because someone is not good at being a source of something doesn't mean they can't understand and embrace it. Are ESFPs dumb? No , but some people might erroneously conclude so just because they don't see them as the source of "smart".
esfp can use ne perfectly, yet we picture and sense all concepts, so they can interact with the real world, eg does a drug work, we can think of 10 questions that determine will it work, how it work, speed, dosage, what receptor, unwanted receptor, serum level, route of in take vs liver, metabolite bioavilability, etc goes on forever, we are a lot better than ne, ne cannot learn the truth
is there down regulation, level of different route, weight effect on it, how it interferes with neurotramitters and hormone, we already u.derstand neurotransmitters and vrain strcture and how neurons work together, the structure of them, i mean the gist of it is that se knows what to explore, it explores concepts and language just like ne, however se knows to explore base on real 3d imagery, sensations, and the questions is the real important thing to ask, based on existing knowledge of courase. ie if se user dont know how the brain structured, se user cannot proceed with using a drug, becausw it need to be based in reality, yet se works so well in the information world because the details are their informed
Esfps are intelligent and adaptable
Almost too adaptable. They seem to never really ‘learn’ their lesson I guess. Not really ever being content with whatever reality means to them
This is so wholesome 😭🖤. And their confidence in what THEY like/enjoy in REALITY. Wow.
