I’ve always asked myself how do SJs get motivated with Si or why do they need to do Si things but this video really made me realize that a lot of their motivations are people and caring for others, they really are the guardians of our society Makes me also wonder the Si world of Si-Di and Di-Si people
Si wants life to be as smooth as possible, by preference without real lows. In order to have a smooth experience, preparation is done in order to take care of upcoming problems before they arrive. So they avoid things that can cause problems in order to avoid issues later on. So you eat healthy in order to try to avoid health issues in the long run. It's always about avoiding such sensory issues long term. This is very different from types with (high) Se who more seem to gravitate towards a life with more sensory extremes (highs and lows)
People tend to see Si as organizing things, but I strongly disagree. The need for organization is something that I get to know after I understand the world through introverted sensing. Si by itself is more about understanding through experience and impressions. My personal motivation to Si is to understand something to the fullest so that I can see the true beauty of a sistem or an object.
In my case the combinantion is obviously Si-Fi, and I see it as the manifestation of absolute values (kindness, generosity) in the permanent elements of reality. What should I do in my life to be a good person? Which habits can help me to be someone better?
hey :) ESFP here (98% sure)...i love u guys. my 3 best friends are two ISFJs and one ISTJs...i just need that calm and warm energy in my life and yes, they can be extremly quirky :D

If they use caretaking methods on you that seem like they are intended for a child, this does not consequently make you seem like a child to us. We understand that _they_ are the ones doing these things and not you.
I’ve seen Samuel in the comments and always love what he has to say. I’m happy to get to see him in an interview, as well. I want more ISTJ love in the community!
Nice photos! I related to several things Amy said, although my temperament makes people think I'm an introvert but I'm an ESTJ. Interesting how ISTJ was the first to share their hobbies and the ESFJ was trying to think of what hobbies they have. Of course anyone can have hobbies but Si and Fi does contribute to that and xSTJs maybe prefer to do some activities by themselves moreso than SFJs.
I suspect the question at 1:22:00 was also inspired by my comment in a recent video. Their responses seem to be consistent with what I think. Their pessimist Ne, tends to imagine negative possibilities, hence thinking about the future is a very stressful experience for them, but on the plus side, it also inspires them to be very prepared. In the case of nps, their Ne is more optimistic hence thinking about possibilities/ the future is more fun, but there is less of a push to be prepared. Si is ultimately about routines and following set routines tends to lead to definite outcomes. So SJs can look goal oriented to the casual observer. I also thought more about how Ni-Ti might show up in infjs, and I think Ni is trying to predict the outcome of their Ti model without having to go through the compute process. Ti is about finding the truth, but it can be very compute heavy. So since Ti is pessimistic in infjs they would try to use their Ni to skip the compute process and occasionally correct their Ni predictions against their Ti model. This is just a speculation as I don't have Ni in my conscious stack. Great video overall.
My mom likes to teach me step by step procedures for how to cook dishes…. Later I just randomly throw stuff together in a manner that may or may not resemble the original, depending on what is available . lol.
Samuel @52:55 That's awesome. If I had been able to have participated in the live chat, I would have asked if you were learning a 3rd langauge. Just had a feeling. Good luck with your endeavors.
@@PowerRedBullTypology I would say I like to refine my past experiences. Concrete data is not perceived piece by piece, but all at once. So if something is completly new, all that I get is a fusy image. I need to revisit parts of the experience and ponder on that, separating the nuances of each element. With time I get to a clear image of what happened, which solidifies my knowledge. Then when I need any past information I recall the expirience and zoom in to the information that I want. But words are a bit more complicated, because I'm very visual. I like to look for different contexts in which the word is used, so I can grasp the core meaning of the word. Once I see what experiences can be described by that core meaning, I can see say that I really understand it. My memory is one of the things that I trust the most and I think I'm good at it. Even if I get it wrong, I always have a good notion of what happened.
I think the SP's Se sees what is there in detail, yet without really connecting it to anything else than what is here right now . So they may like your haircut or not , but do not compare it to any other haircut you had before. So even though the haircut you just got is worse than the one you had before it, if it is fundamentally it's still above a concrete fixed value of perceived beauty for the SP (let's say they still rate it higher than 6/10) they are still going to perceive it positively. However, this is fndamentally differnent for the SJ, as they will be much more aware if this haircut is _better or worse_ than your previous haircuts. Their perception is much more about better or worse rather than good or bad on it's own. The SP types on the other hand with Se will not do that at all, but will be more ware of how it atually looks right now and more easily spot if a haircut is for example uneven becasue the left and right side are uneven (as this can be spot in the _here and now_ with Se) So the SP's perception in this sense can be seen as being more _absolute_ while the SJ's perception can be seen as more _relative_ . It's like the SP perceivers pure numbers whereas the SJ perceives how much higher or lower the numbers are compared to other previous numbers. So when the SJ's Si internalizes things, they are always compared to the same stored information of things that belong to the category. So all trousers are compared to all previous trousers, all computers are compared to all previous computers..etc. They can also more easily say things like "this computer is broken 2 times as often as the previous one" compared to the Se user who deals with a broken computer right now, but does not look back to compare it that much. Another typical thing about Si is that as it experiences more things (or objects or people) their standards for these things can seem to go up as they become simply more aware_ of all the previous positively experienced alternatives of things. So the more they have experienced, the pickier they seem to get because they've seen better before and remember it vividly. However, because they are afraid that new obects can also be _worse_ than the ones before, it's likely they have not experienced that many variations of objects yet and could find better ones if they were less afraid of the new alternatives. So becasue they might stick to the second brand car they have ever experienced, the amount of cars they have experienced and compared is really low (2) which means that the best car of these 2 really does not have to be all that good compared to 10 other brands of cars. This can make them more attached or opionated of things than would optimally be helpful for them and tend to make them _just_ settle for hte best they _know so far_ , but not get the best _could_ have.
@@beatofmyown Why do you think spotting something out of place is Se? I mean, it seems a comparison from a prior state of something to the current state?
@@PowerRedBullTypology It’s because the Si notices the difference, so when they are speaking about a PRESENT experience, it will be harder to impress the ES*J. Because there is always a past standard with Si. Hence, critical Se, or critical about the present.
