Canada really should make an effort to export this kind of talent to the world. Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth and so many others could have been international stars.
you want to know the Canadian truth from a Canadian patriot? They do not know what they are doing, like anyone. The US? Canada? It's the same shit, really. different approach but same shit
dad bought me a 79 Impala for my first car ... this song was all over the radiowaves then ... only paid $500 and gas was 59.9 litre .... glad i caught the tail end of the good ol days
This isn't I mother Earth's best song, but it's my favorite for some reason. The prechorus and chorus just get me rockin' out. This is back when real music was out.
And on a good day, my mind Is like the country...green wide open A breath of zen that's nice On the eyes, lonely, without a prayer Damn love that part, I know this is a sad song but man it's so good.
I thought I was the only one who used the RUclips comments section as post-it notes to myself. Note to self: there is another. And blueberries are full of antioxidants.
Please re release this with an LP!! Or tell me how I can contact you personally so I can have one pressed for my collection! I can't press an LP without permission to do so.
@halflife213 try bittorrent. Look for "I mother earth discography" You should be able to find some really good quality (high bit rate) versions of all 4 albums. I haven't been able to find any rare stuff/demos.
These guys reek of the Seattle grunge scene and I love it cuz I grew up during that time. Been with these guys since they first hit the scene! Theres nothing like finding music that no one else knows about :P...hee hee!
Krysten55 i saw a Q/A with Jag...his brother Christian does the lyrics and apparently its about " little" Christian-not that he went into specifics haha
@jchurch005 un NO edwin is doing music right now. And I think you just called him a bartender. LOL I talked to him today get your facts straight. Great Band.
+Chris Wilkinson ...met those guys on a Ferry b/tw NFLD and CapeBreton .,,,talked with Jag..got picuture w/ them... Too add, Jag stopped and had a smoke and coffee with me at the first rest stop off the boat while his brother Jag walked by sayin" See, ya, goin for a nap" ..They are awesome guys..it was the first tour withe Bryan Byrne..buddy from Newfoundland
@jchurch005 yeah we used to....not much happening thees days shit edwin (the singer in i mother earth) is slingin drinks in a down town bar for fuck sakes, but if your into metal a good band from london is baptized in blood the ygot some killer tunes and a hip hop/acoustic dude named KO from T.O. is also killer otherwise all we got comin out theese days is drake and that girlie voiced poser who i refuse to mention by name (but im sure you know who im talkin about lol)
Tavis u forgot about Hamilton ontario we gave birth to some good bands too. Only thing st Catherine's gave us was alexisonfire then Dallas Green did city and colour :( gay.

Canada really should make an effort to export this kind of talent to the world. Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth and so many others could have been international stars.
Canada is the world's music and comedy factory. The best come from here
I agree.. except the hipp..I never thought Gord could carry a note to save his life..

One of the greatest songs ever written!

dad bought me a 79 Impala for my first car ... this song was all over the radiowaves then ... only paid $500 and gas was 59.9 litre .... glad i caught the tail end of the good ol days
I wish the chorus would just repeat itself for five minutes straight, I can't get enough of it

KICK ASS these guys are so underrated one of my fav bands to jam to always
I saw them in concert a few months ago. Even though they didn't play this song, they still rocked!
music of my youth. i saw these guys 3 times and each time was a kick ass concert
Was definitely not my youth but i got a chance to see them twice in boston in 97 and 98

Why wouldn't the best one be your favourite, whatever that is?
But this might be their best.........because the middle is as powerful as the pre-chorus with their harmonies. They knew when to play soft and hard.
Which one? I think this is #1 by far
And on a good day, my mind
Is like the country...green wide open
A breath of zen that's nice

I forgot .... but my god can These boys fucking play! Tonight I. Guelph with finger 11. Can’t wait!
Amazing Canadian side of rock!
The best Canadian band ever but this drummer is extremely underrated… serious Matt Cameron inspiration
this album inspired me to play drums. then I met one of the touring percussionists and I realized I was hearing about 2-3 people banging away...
beautiful song
Yes great album
I was just saying to a friend how awesome of a song Raspberry is. So we'll written
Love these guys!!!
One of the best bands around....
Too bad their time has come and gone
At least we still have the albums ;)
My god this band kicks ass! This is soo much better than majority of the music out right now! :)
@CaParanormalResearch
Its one of the best though... top 3 for me
1. Another Sunday
2. Used to Be Alright

@jchurch005 Thank you. Canada is a big fan of you,
hope all is well
90s doing coke and driving to the rips lol..
This kicks ass !!
This song reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins, Edwin even sounds like Billy Corgan on this one.
Awesome time in Canadian music back then......now we have bieber....:/
CFOX 99.3 FM Vancouver. We will play Soundgarden in heavy rotation and not play this.
Was a wicked band...

I love the feel of the main chorus.
Krysten55 i saw a Q/A with Jag...his brother Christian does the lyrics and apparently its about " little" Christian-not that he went into specifics haha
It's when you blow a "raspberry" in someone's hand...a childhood thing..like a wet Willy..
@jchurch005 un NO edwin is doing music right now. And I think you just called him a bartender. LOL I talked to him today get your facts straight. Great Band.
What year would you go to? Because the early 90's were kind of shitty. Left over 80's music was still coming through. Maybe 93 I would start.
I'd start in 1980.
But if you went back to "early 90s" when it was "kind of shitty", you could look forward to 1993.
Weeeee
Why arent these guys more famous!? Sooo 90's rock
P.S.
Creed + Smashing Pumpkins = this song
they're pretty damn famous, they were one of the biggest bands of the 90s in Canada.
Fukin A Right!!!
Project Monarch
Edwin is an under-rated lyricist.
He didn't write the lyrics. The drummer, Chris Tanna, did. All of them.
+Chris Wilkinson ...met those guys on a Ferry b/tw NFLD and CapeBreton .,,,talked with Jag..got picuture w/ them... yes ..awesome ~
He didn't write any of them, and he's a big time douche. I'm surprised they're doing a reunion tour.

@draconravie NO not K-OS theres a new guy named KO type in good man bad man or lets blaze or any other number of killer tunes by him :p lol
great Canadian band. Fucked up lyrics though...someone explain to me the warm cup of skin
it means the skin that cups the head of the penis of an uncircumcised man.
It's his cupped palm. He's holding the raspberry.
Tavis u forgot about Hamilton ontario we gave birth to some good bands too. Only thing st Catherine's gave us was alexisonfire then Dallas Green did city and colour :( gay.
You probably killed a few bands too, with your polluted air and water.
LMAO!!!
i feel so fortunate to have grown up during the 90s music era what horrible crap out there now with the emo/indie/screamo junk
fucking A!
ABYSS WHERE EARTH IS lol
