I think this is my favorite song of all time! I can listen to it again and again and always enjoy it. Reminds me of my teen years in the 90s when we "used to be alright" me and my buddies. No responsabilities, we just enjoyed life! Road trips, partys, drink beer, smoke joints and wait for the sun to come up in the morning. Mannn.. that was life!

This band is without a doubt Canada's best kept secret!! Only Big Wreck could compare with IME's anonymity! Jag Tanna is a great player and unbelievable songwriter!! Should have been a household name LONG,LONG TIME AGO!!
@Efrem da Rabbitagreed man, first discovered this band from that game "True Crime: Streets of LA", they had their song "levitate" on there. From there I was hooked and so stunned this band isn't bigger than what they are

This was the first song I ever taped off the radio 🙂 I kept my radio playing all night so that if I heard it, I'd wake up and could tape it. It worked and I was so happy, and listened to it on repeat for ages! Went out and bought the CD once I had saved enough. Those were good times.
I remember doing that in the late 70s, can’t remember the song now but it must’ve been good. There were two guys putting new carpet in the house and I asked if they could take 5 😁

This band really didn't get enough recognition!
When we were young aspiring musicians, we rented a small room at the Rehearsal factory in Toronto. We soon found out that I Mother Earth rehearsed upstairs. Even though we were surrounded in our music equipment, we spent countless hours in silence, drinking beer and listening to them rehearse through the walls.
When we used to be alright. Amen brother. Old jams that were taken for granted are now something I'd wish for from a genie's bottle

Heard this song recently while driving to my campsite at The Pinery, in Grand Bend Ontario. Memories came flooding back from growing up in the 90's. We loved this song and this band. Brought tears to my eyes. lol

Michelle Cunningham ...dont laugh but today is the 1st time I've ever heard of this band...I'm 44 and being 100% truthful..not sure how it happened, I love music and grew up in America (I heard they're Canadaian)( and somehow I missed this band...🤔..I guess RUSH isn't the only band from Canada that I like now...cheers

I was 13 and ended up writing an article on the band for school which I aced lol. I showed up early to Peter Clark hall in Guelph and there they were lol 😆 .. To this day one of my all time fave bands & the memories from that night inspired me huge and I pursued music myself later on. I can't wait to see them in Guelph again soon with The Tea Party many moons later. Iconic canadian rock 🙌

1996/97 would have put me at 23 or 24. Damn I feel old. I caught the original IME at Edgefest in Edmonton, AB when they were fulfilling their contractual obligations before Edwin's departure. You could tell he was on a different page from the rest of the band. Saw Edwin 3 times solo afterwards - twice touring Another Spin Around the Sun, once with The Pressure. Never followed IME at all...Edwin was the big draw. Oh yeah, I'm a guy and not gay, just a huge fan of the man's music.

This is one of the best compositions ever done. I play all instruments; and out of all the tunes I perform; this one is so intricate; that any reduction of composition is just unacceptable garbage. Wasn't it funny how they screwed up such a good thing when hollywood turned their singer into a solo backstreet boy. Hilarious.
