coconut tree is called as a kalpa vruksha, as every part of it can be used in one or the other way. coconut is mainly used item in the kitchen of South India, and even used as a medicine somewhere. Most of us know that edible oil can be extracted from coconut. But here we give you a surprise of extraction of a medicinal oil from it's shell,, that too in a special method. This oil is like a spirit. It is used for wound healing purpose. And this oil doesn't have expiry date., can be stored for very long.
I remember long years ago, my grandfather in India had a small patch of eczema on his hand.. we gave all sorts of ointments but nothing worked at last he tried his mother's ancient remedy. He took a piece of coconut shell and broom plant and burned it on fire The oil that came out of that coconut shell he applied to his skin area affected by eczema , within a few days everything had cleared out... his skin became smooth , clean and the eczema completely disappeared. Dear Mr Bhat, Today when I saw your video I remembered this inicident. Thank you for reviving the age old remedies. I moved from India to Ireland but I have fond memories of India.

Back in 2014-15, my son presented a science project related to this Shell Vinegar (shell oil) in Netherlands and won silver medal there... He produced, an ant repellent ( ant chalk) and mosquito repellent using this liquid...he did an extensive study on this, confirming its many medicinal properties... You are true and explained well...

I have been collecting coconut shells from the coconuts that were used at my home for months now. I did this because I find the coconut shells fascinating and simply could not find myself to throw them away just like that. I did some art with few and few were converted into planters by me. But I am still looking to put the large amounts of shells I have collected to some good use. This looks like one of a worthy tries. Although I am not sure if can do the manual work it involves, I'm sure its worth the sweat! More power to Krishna anna and Bhat team

This oil is called as "VISHWAMITRA KAPAALA TAILA" in Ayurveda, also used in Siddha system of medicine.
And it is mentioned in the book "Aryabhishak", very much effective in cases like Psoriasis, Eczema and other skin disorders.
The apparatus used here is called as Pataala yantra.

I have seen this procedure, as a child, for extracting oil from cashew kernel , i was told that oil is very strong, can burn our fingers, n it is used to paint the wood , pillars etc to protect from wood insects
