Some of them, like Appe midi variety, are especially used for pickles or only for certain dishes such as appehuli, tambuli etc. These are not ideal to be eaten as fruits but suit very well for these raw preparations.
Hi Sudharshan. In Kerala especially Central Kerala we call it kadumanga curry or kannimanga curry if I am not mistaken. The word achar is something new that is being attached to it. Please correct me if I am wrong🙏🏽

@@ritushukla9284 Usually, mango pickle in these parts is prepared from special wild mangoes. Some of them, like Appe midi variety, are especially used for pickles or only for certain dishes such as appehuli, tambuli etc. These are not ideal to be eaten as fruits but suit very well for these raw preparations.

Hi Sudharshan. In Kerala especially Central Kerala we call it kadumanga curry or kannimanga curry if I am not mistaken. The word achar is something new that is being attached to it. Please correct me if I am wrong🙏🏽
Achar is Hindi word for pickle
