What an amazing yukata outfit you chose! That obi is amazing with the neon night city scene. Surely, you will cherish it for many years. The staff (man and woman) look really cool also.
These are such beautiful yukata! I bought one when I visited Nagoya three years ago, and it's very nice. I'm surprised that it fit me when I got it home (I'm a bit wider than the average Japanese girl) but it did and I was able to wear it when I represented Japan in our local Rainbow Festival! I would love to own a yukata from Tsukikageya, I will have to look for them the next time I'm in Japan. :)
Thank you so much!! I love this segment. I go to cherry blossom festival every year here in D.C. So understanding the different obi and kimono was very inspiring. :)
This is so cool. Did you get the kimono with is cream, and what belt did u choose? Thank you for sharing! I'll definitely check them out if I'm ever in Japan in the summer! Love your episodes btw. Keep up the good work.
yukatas are so beautiful but how much do they cost?...the guy wearing the yukata was very handsome too. he looked great wearing the yukata.thanks for sharing such a beautiful video
So cute!! I'm curious, how do Japanese people feel about non-Japanese wearing yukatas? Is it 'just a Japanese thing' or is it ok for tourists etc. to wear them?
As long as you take the time to learn how to wear it properly then you should not have a problem. There are lots of videos of how to wear a yukata on youtube.
I think the yukata can be worn by anyone! When I went to Japan three years ago in July as a visiting high school student (I'm from the United States), our host families encouraged all of us to try yukata or buy one to take home. They are very fun and comfortable, and you feel very special when you wear one.
