People who practice shironuri with as much dedication as Ms.Minori are almost like living walking art pieces. Instead of calling this crazy or odd we should appreciate it. Even tho not every subculture has its own set of politics, being anti conformity is the main goal of J fashion. Promoting expression and seeing art in the world around us is so important to these subcultures. It could also just be as simple as “I like it”. There isn’t a particular reason I’m drawn to styles like these. I just really like them.
