    I remember as a kid in the 80's always being amazed at my grandmas neighbors lawn; he had the nicest lawn on the block (still the nicest lawn I've ever seen till this day)! I now wonder if he applied the same methods to his lawn as Jerry Baker did🤔Anyhow, I am now motivated to get my lawn that nice. Thanks for the video upload👍

    I'm an old school Jerry Baker lover, but many of his techniques have been surpassed. I have a half acre with about 30 healthy trees, I mulch all of my leaves into the grass every fall. After a few years it builds soil. I still use a lot of his feeding method though.

    I know I’m late to the game but I stumbled upon this video and it’s things that I will be putting to good use. Just wondering about coverage. How much area should these tonics cover? Jerry mentions that the 32 oz sprayer covers about 3000+ sq. Ft. So that means it’s about 1 oz per sq ft. Also what about the amount of Epsom salt in the fertilizer?.. does that also apply to the same area?

    Hi , I shampoo my lawn using Jerry Baker
    recipe to make it green and I got reverse results. After few days I felt that my lawn started get yellow. When I investigated more carefully I found a layer stayed on soil, initially I thought it is a layer of fungus but later I found that is a layer of dried foam. Is it fine? Do you have any suggestion that how can I save my lawn? Here was my recipe :
    1 Cup of Baby Shampoo
    1 Cup CORN SYRUP
    1 Cup of Regular Cola
    1 Cup of Ammonia
    P.S.1 The current temperature is 70 in day but we had a two days around 87.
    P.S.2 I mow the lawn two day before I applied the tonic. (1/3)
    Thanks for your kind and prompt reply in advance.

    I recently bought a tow behind 21 gallon broadcast boom sprayer from North Tool to use on my acre and half lawn. Your yard spray formulas are usually in a 20 gallon jar sprayer (which we bought from your website and works great) for 2500 square foot region. So, how do you convert that to the 21 gallon tow behind broadcast sprayer to use your formulas on the acre and half?

    • @ronmiller9297
      @ronmiller9297 6 лет назад

      I would suggest mix as directed, pour into your sprayer and add water to the 20 gallon mark. Plug it in, turn it on and let it mix until it is well mixed and then spray at your normal speed. should spray I believe about 1 gallon to 1,000 square feet.

      None of the ingredients are toxic, so as soon as the grass dries off, your dogs should be OK. (About the only thing they might not like is the ammonia smell, but that will dissipate).

      +Joco Mlad : There are about five basic steps to lawn care, spread out over the year. Jerry provides some good basic natural chemistry to the process, but once you compare what he's doing here to what other master gardeners & lawn care experts do, you'll see the same basic steps being used throughout the year. Once you get those down, it takes the guess work out of lawn care. Using the best products for your money can help, too, but his chemistry helps things along. I mean, if you have a lawn, even if it's lush & doesn't need extra care, you must be mowing, raking, overseeding, etc anyway....right? Lawns require care & care takes time. Not a lot, mind you, but it depends on how much area you have (I have 10,000 square feet of lawn...A LOT) to care for. And I'm fully employed! Take the guess out of it all by employing Jerry's steps. You can also incorporate things you learn from other gardeners. Good luck!

    Carpet of weeds need your help! After years of neglect I have started to view this video but need additional help. I have used weed killer, it has worked but has also left many bald spots of dead weeds, like a carpet that has covered the grass. Upon removing by hand, underneath are some blades of grass. Question is should I continue to hand pull or is there another way, I have about 1.5 acres and it's killing my back. Should I be removing the dead carpet of weeds? I have been spraying with Specticide would be my next step. Suggestions. Please help. Thanks

    • @MiGG_Aus
      @MiGG_Aus 6 лет назад

      Glycophosphate kills everything. WARNING USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT. If it's so bad - like really bad, use this killer for a couple of years at about three month intervals (dormant seeds will germinate down the track). You will need to start from scratch in a couple of years time after you notice less weeds germinating. To begin with, I strongly recommend laying turf over seeding.

      +Michael Matook : I would wait, but that's just my opinion. Also, Jerry did say you can put down grass seed on top of snow. It will sink in eventually, but the best time to overseed is in the Fall. Wait until late Spring to plant more & really overseed. But check with Jerry or his book first. Once you get the necessary steps down, you'll be surprised how easy lawn care becomes.

Your website doesn't show your hose end sprayer with a tip like the Hudson sprayer site or the others I have seen out here in the cloud, but for sure home depot , zamzows, lowe's , and D & B do not carry that tip or your product and im sick of looking and sick of the vague sales pitch given to sell your sprayers, there is no tip on your sprayers, why>? Where is it ? Are they included with the sprayer or what. This is lame to the core.
