But 20 years passed and than there was a tremendous explosion of light from within me, immediately followed by tremendous laughter that the joke was on me as all my insight and meditation and listening had not accomplished the ending of thought and complete silence and the opening to an immense field that is now some 32 years latter still the condition of my mind. If your reading this than know that this light is within every human being and is the essence of everyone.

Selective attention and symbolization are simply a process of memory even if you deceive yourself into believing you are aware or attending to yourself. Right now if you lift your arm this movement is of the entire universe moving but your selective consciousness has selectively filtered this out. Every human being doing the good and evil they are doing is really the doing of the universe and therefore not a problem for you including yourself.

If I understand K's words correctly, holding on to content, at the minutest level, one is contributing to the stream of consciousness, hence responsible for the ongoing corruption and insanity on planet earth. As it's been said by another, the enemy is not outside, but inside the human brain. One is either contributing, hence strengthening the stream, or one by one,
stepping out, and contributing, via de-energizing the stream, towards changing or a mutation of human consciousness...

    • @evanparker5400
      @evanparker5400 3 года назад

i think one may strengthen or weaken this stream of consciousness and yet water will always find a way through, like cutting canyons through stone.
i used to rationalize time as a means toward this "peeling back" of consciousness (perhaps i still subtly do), but now i am beginning to see there is a root in all this, hence his statements about ending it completely, instantly. moving down to that root cannot be done through will and analysis, i know now. from there begins the fun adventure, always doubting, turning the other cheek as the oft-quoted monk would say.

This point has been made many times in the Eastern tradition, but in my eyes it involves a critical error. It presupposes that there is one holistic stream of consciousness. But the problem with individuality is, even if you see through the disastrous nature of thought and step out, you'll eventually die and the rest goes on as it always has. Even if all humanity of one era were to make this radical change, the next generation would again fall into the old pattern. It is in our genes. Now you could argue that I am looking at things in a goal-oriented manner, I am looking for success or failure to see whether it is all worth it, which again is part of the problem. But K., despite all his claims that consciousness is not individual, cannot deny that on a physical level every particular person has to go through this change one by one and yet this does not change the nature of human consciousness, it will be reborn corrupted with every child born and every child will carry its burden of sorrow until it undergoes an inward mutation. There is no final resolution to this.

@@kooroshrostami27 "My" should really be a 3-dimensional location/association pronoun instead of a possession/ownership one. It has been said it is our belief to be an individual person that separates/divides. It's kinda like say the element Cobalt. Cobalt is Cobalt. My Cobalt in South America is no different than your Cobalt in Morocco. Is there really Cobalts or is there just one Cobalt that is the same everywhere you find Cobalt? We can see the rest of the world from a particular SAMPLE of Cobalt but how useful has that ever been? Especially when there is nothing fundamentally better or worse or greater or lesser about a particular Cobalt sample. In fact, in this analogy, If an experiment ONLY worked on a specific sample of Cobalt then we would be skeptical. Don't believe a word of this.

Reincarnation is an antiqued, easily misunderstood theory. We, as individuals, are integration of physical and thoughts ( K called it organisms and psyche). Every action brings a reaction, that's a physical, impartial law, and thoughts are physical. Self-centered actions brought numerous reactions, conflicts, condensed into energy. Individual Souls re-incarnating is a center-based theory, the reverse of what sages taught, holding on this illusive individual ego that changes moment by moment. But the reality that actions generated effects are there, either constructive, destructive or neutral. It's condensed energy, essence. This energy exists and propels and manifests into this phenomenal world that we're living. Butterfly is gone, but the essence of its flipping remains and creates ripple effects in reality. Thanks K and friends.

i wonder if we even know what was originally meant by the concept of reincarnation, even superficially so. for example, thought reincarnates endlessly, one form different than the next. it is possible to improve upon thought, it being material and having a basis. this concept could have been a product of minds which found certainty in knowledge, which is inadvertent cynicism, or the elite "saving" the masses from the arduous nature of spiritual exploration, which inhibits industry and commerce. any way, we can only understand something if we have experienced it ourselves.
on a related note, christian sects talk endlessly about death and meeting god in heaven after life. what life were they talking about? the physical life, or the life of consciousness? if it is the latter, then death may come sooner than we think. we can cling to it and allow it to rot, or let it go and allow the flowering of something incomprehensible.

Our contribution to the collective content of humanity is affected by our attachments while we're physically alive and having thoughts. When our physical bodies die, the brain that allows thoughts dies (either immediately or in a matter of 15 or so minutes if only the heart has stopped), and then we decompose physically. Our energy, or decompressed energy must be released at death. Is it our consciousness?

All fish swimming in a pond share the same water with one another. If one of the fish poisons the water in order to spite another fish, that fish is poisoning all of the fishes including itself. We all swim in the same water of consciousness, we have the same desires of hunger, thirst, greed, lust, envy etc. and the same feelings of fear, hope, happiness, sorrow, etc. Even the words that enter into your head belong to millions or billions of other people. Why should one be alone anyway? Just because brother Jiddu was alone in his life, maybe? Is it freedom if you can not attach to anyone but you wish that, like maybe he was trying to connect as a child? It is easier to end content if it is bad. But what if it is wonderful. How do we know what is the reason of Jiddu 's claims. We should belive him again. The content should be goodness and grace which one should demands every day all day long.

From my perspective - to be free of attachment does not mean you need to be alone. It is one of the ways. The art of being with some people and not being attached or amazed by the illusion is the art of love and freedom. Therefore, I can really love only if I am not attached. JK never said one must be alone. He repeated many times not to be with someone for security, comfort, power, tradition, achieving what you want and using a relationship as manufactory to produce your happiness. Me personally - I do not need to believe in the words of JK. He always talked in the way I can go through the whole process of clearing the truth about myself from any illusions. I can easily see what he talked about in myself on condition I am extremely honest with myself. Regards!

Let me take a dig. Since my individual consciousness is the consciousness of whole of mankind, the humanity is still bound to those elements to which one is attached , so whatever part an individual clings too remains in the conciousness of the whole. And if an individual let go of all the attachments then he does bring about freedom from all the attachments for the whole of humanity.

Generally I agree with you about the ordinary state of consciousness being collective, not my personal consciousness apart from the whole of humanity of which I am a participant along with you and everyone else. Krishnamurti pointed out succinctly that this collective consciousness is not only incomplete but its the grounding movement of the conditioning verb ‘to be’ and ‘not to be’ that is the language based mechanism for building the psychological data base of thought consisting of knowledge and experience.
The daily living activity of thought processes shows up all the limited qualities inherent in the content of consciousness (personal and impersonal) and therefore we are all caught in the web of images that manifest as ‘like’ and ‘dislike’. So the conditioned mind wants to gather up all the ‘liked’ feelings and things and discard the ‘disliked’ material. However, conditioning fails to recognise that memory has captured all the impacts and registered both the likes and the dislikes. Thought processes in attempting to seperate its content produce conflict, contradiction, pleasure and pain etc.
In looking into this miasma, Krishnamurti saw that insight that is not yours or mine shone light unto the limitations of fragmented consciousness and led him to ask is there a way of living completely without the division that obviously permeates the field of thought with its movement from a centre to the circumference and back again in a repetitive circle that is never ending.
The only change that is possible necessitated action as a whole that Krishnamurti describes as dying to the psychological known instantaneously while living and therefore being beyond the finite boundaries of old consciousness. Can we learn all that this insight offers also?

it takes 1 to make 2, and 1 can affect the entire consciousness of the world. 1/7 billion is only insignificant to the fragmented mind.

I suspect transition by one individual to the empty state somehow makes that transition 'easier' and so the state more accessible to others.

mikebusiness32 An education in architecture for example is likely to increase awareness and appreciation in that domain. So I would say that education has the potential to increase sensitivity, and thereby consciousness - depending on the assumed meaning of that word.

It is totally false that true learned Indians believe that we seek for a better life in next birth. It is true for majority of the Indians who have learned western ideologies like Krishnamurti...! This is not true Indian knowledge...!
The experience of a true Indian is that the creation is an illusion and there is no death nor the beginning...!
I do not want to get into the whole details....one find it oneself...!
It is also so strange that at the end he accepts of re-incarnation without telling it clearly...! He clearly says that, when we do not wipe out the content, we are responsible to keep the consciousness alive (this also means that, even physical body dies, the consciousness still lives).

You have not understood, declutter your brain with old conditioning and then you will experience what JK is talking about the universal consciousness and how it continuous even after our death. The new breeds get trapped in the same conciousness....never ending cycle.

You're speaking from your own knowledge from your own experience which means you have never done this krishnamurti is talking about ending consciousness !!! ending attachments$$ and the benefit from it!!! You're missing the point$ just because you don't see it right now I don't know how old you are but that doesn't mean that it's not true especially coming from this guy!!
