What is good about these times is that it's quite a buyer's market right now. One can often buy off statues that you could designate as a 'grail' for really good prices. Might help to enable new collectors and keep the engine running. On the other hand, new statue prices of high end companies are often too high, making it impossible for most of the people to afford. Naturally, people will then become more selective of what new statue they purchase, leading to lower sales worldwide.
Life is already hard enough to be pessimistic about statue collecting. At the end of the day this is still a hobby. A hobby is something that should give us joy and hope. A hobby get us through a hectic and stressy day at work. So yes regarding statue collecting I am an optimist ☺️😁
I’m optimistic things will turn around. I have to downsize or downgrade my hobby. Not interested in competing but try to find what’s good or grail worth getting. Hope LBS tries 1/4 statues someday.
My biggest problem is space. I just got Prime 1 Studio Robert Pattinson The Batman and Batman Forever Robin. Both 1/3 scale pieces. Now I'm about tapped out on space. So space definitely is my biggest problem. I would have to sell stuff in order to get new pieces and fit them in my collection. Great video as always. I'm trying to follow your example and stay as positive as possible.
Just being Positive When things are obviously negati don't think it's the way to go for me. Your average statue nowadays is pretty much a $1000. This is awesome not to mention I have seen other statue collectors and other groups doing the same thing that they have been doing and this community or so on and Bragging about how much money they have 🙄 I feel this hobby is just gonna get worse year after year and sadly The good old days I feel is behind us. I personally feel within the coming years they would sadly be less small statue companies. An nobody will say WHY that is.
Reminds me if a joke feel free to delete if it is too off color. The difference between a optimist and a pessimist an optimist is a man that believes there is sex after marriage. A pessimist is a married optimist.😂😂😂
The power of your rambing is unnerving... but good. Chad's price points are solid. Everyone needs to be patient, and chad has to do a better job with updates on orders/status. How many are left for sale? Will superman 1/3 scale bust ship by christmas of this year?
Life... uh... finds a way. 🦖 Optimistic here. I feel like the fun we can get out of the hobby is mostly related to our mindset. Take care and enjoy your time fellow collectors.
Thank for review.
Being a Pessimist serves no useful purpose. It's a waste of thought, time and energy. Always be an optimist. It's far better for the mind and soul.
Sideshow had a 1/3 scale M. Bison for 50% off ($600). The only reason I didn't buy it is due to space. There are definitely some good deals out there!

It's definitely a unique time for collectors with the market dynamics shifting. It's great to hear that some gems are more accessible now!
As a collector, you have to be an optimist. As a statue collector, you have to be both..

That's a great perspective to have! It's important to find joy and relaxation in our hobbies.
I really just want the XM Godzilla statues to have a release date! That would make super happy with the hobby! Not enough Godzilla stuff in statues

I'm OptiPessed
I'm actually in the mood for a new statue, but as long as prices are what they are, my wallet stays put. The studios need to find a solution.
Prices can be a challenge sometimes, but patience pays off!

Batman statue collector, black and white version.
Great. Now I need a Snyder cut of evey video on the channel!
I am optimistic because i don't collect everything, and i don't collect very popular licenses.
It's great to have a unique collection that resonates with you!

My rambles can be quite the rollercoaster, but glad you find them entertaining!

Absolutely, mindset plays a huge role in how much enjoyment we get out of our hobbies. Keep the positivity flowing!
