  • Take a tour of the nuCamp Factory in Sugarcreek, Ohio, check it out! This is the home of the TAB, TAG and Cirrus Campers. Our tour is guided by Raphael Yutzy and we cover a lot of ground. You'll learn about how their campers are manufactured and a little about the company. This is the cleanest and most organized factory we have ever had the pleasure of touring. The Cirrus Truck Camper line is towards the end of the video.

    This is fascinating! I knew that nuCamp RVs were well-built, but this tour of the factory goes a long way to showing and explaining exactly how well-built they are. This just confirms my choice of a TAB 400 for my new camper!

    This video made me confident in buying a Cirrus truck camper here in the near future, after debating between NuCamp and Lance. Seeing the way they do quality control and organization in action of the build process sets them ahead. Plus seeing older Ohio Mennonites piecing them together vs some young guys from California makes me feel more confident in the end product. Thanks for this video!

    That is one big ass solar array on the plant. Looks like they are serious about building trailers/RV's, quite the facility, very nice. What a great way to sell a product, show how well thought out the facility building them is.

      We were really impressed with the facility. It takes a lot of planning and skill to run a plant like that. Hats off to them for their attention to detail and cleanliness. There was much more discussed during the tour, but I had to limit it to the key information for the sake of time. I love manufacturing technology and processes, this was the cleanest factory I’ve ever seen!

    I'd also like to share that when I was on my 7400 mile journey a couple weeks back the amount of times other campers that would ask to see my 820. Every person that looked at it was amazed at the quality and I was proud to share that with them. I do have mine up for adoption and I have mixed emotions of that. I have it on RV Trader and I've had 318 views and 8 emails on it. If it doesn't get adopted I will use it this winter.

      Me and the wife are looking at lances and then we came across stony boots channel and started seeing the quality and how long you’ve been in your camper and it’s really really looking like what we’re going to go with is an 820 because I own a 2018 Silverado 4 x 4 Z 71 LT and I have a suspension package I put on it I.e air-bags, fox coil overs front aftermarket control arms with 3/4 ton ball joints; just for this 820, to last a lot longer on the truck; I’d like to know your thoughts on that.

      This ended up being a more polished factory tour video than one normally sees on YT. I'd encourage you to think about making it available to Truck Camper Magazine in some fashion. Or at least inviting them to view it to see what they think. Nicely done!

    Wait a minute. Was that a vending machine for tape measures?! Where are they hiding those green teardrops with the plastic lemonade? That was a great look. Maybe it's a custom color option... That was interesting. Thanks for getting the tour. Currently, the Cirrus 820 is at the top of our list while researching our next rig.

    • @Stonyboot
      @Stonyboot  2 года назад +1

      I had an off camera conversation about the vending machines. They are indeed vending machines, workers have a card or a code they use to get replacement items like drill bits, tape measures, and other consumables. It helps track usage, minimize waste and locate inefficiencies in the production line. I’m not really up to date on modern manufacturing, but I thought that was a brilliant idea!

      @mb5ggX2SyFMM 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Stonyboot You'd be amazed at how many tape measures, drill bits, screw bits, etc. are mistakenly left in coverall pockets and end up at home or in the center console cup holder of a pickup truck or other vehicle. ☺

      There is some news about a new 920 coming this year, or early next year. Also, an 820 will work on an 8' foot bed with some modifications and attention to your center of gravity.
