This is a very nicely designed camper, specifically for long-term use. It seems like compared to RVs in a similar price bracket these truck campers are leaps and bounds ahead in quality and convenience.
Scott congratulations on the Kingstar camper. The video was great and I am super jealous. Please don’t ever take your earlier 920 videos down as I still reference them for mine. Hope to have you do my work in the future
Literally every time I see one of your videos with Marcus and get a peak into the Kingstar design philosophy; I’m sure I need a rig very much like yours. Wow, what a sweet, elegant design. I’m an old engineer and I really appreciate simplicity and elegance in design. Kingstar has that in spades! Thank you Scott and Marcus.
Congrats on the new camper. I hope you’re enjoying it already.
It was worth the wait. I can’t wait for the next update and super excited to see what you all will do with your new camper!!!! LLAP, Andy
Thanks for watching and the nice comment!
I don’t comment often enough. I’m your fellow Trekker subscriber! 🖖
@andysams6690 haha, I forgot where I put my tricorder, it’s buried in a box somewhere.
@@Stonyboot 😮 🤣
What a nice camper that is, very thoughtfully built and laid out. Wow.
Beautiful unit! Enjoy!
Glad to see you back.
Really enjoyed this update! Looking forward to seeing a bit more about the systems onboard!
Have missed your video's. Always enjoyable good content!
I have been looking forward to this video since you posted the last one and man it did not disappoint. Love that camper guys. Y’all chose the right one!
Looking forward to the next video!
🎈🎈🎈Happy Birthday Sasha! 🎈🎈🎈
I'm buying one this spring best truck camper out there
Tell them that Stonyboot sent you :-D
Nice job. Glad to see a new post from you. Hope all is well. Teddy says “Hi”.
hi scoot
good to see you again after long time
great job
Great video
Very Cool !!! 👍
Very nice !!
Thx for sharing
😁
Dead battery?! That reminds me, I want to buy a vehicle battery charger. My husband and I bought a Ram 3500 SRW long bed this week for our camper. That’s a lot to get used to after driving a 2 door Honda Accord car for 20 years. So much to learn on today’s trucks and a camper. Yours looks fantastic.
We will be at kingstar next wek to order our new Cruzr flatbed camper.
Congratulations! That’s exciting! Please, let them know that Stonyboot sent you!
Any idea when it will be ready?
Wow that’s a cool rig I especially like the fact everything is very low in the camper. What does it weigh dry. The we boost swivel bracket is that from we boost or is it aftermarket looking farward to new truck camping adventures
As far as I recall in one of your videos before you disappeared this rig was sold and you no longer had it and were thinking or selling your truck as well. You should do a video giving people and update on what’s happening with you guys so people are not confused.
It’s coming. Gotta finish one project at a time.
Getting back to the brackets @ the corners for the jacks the hinges mounted to those brackets are typically the weakest part of the structure. Beefing up the brackets does nothing if those hinges deform due to unloading/loading on un - level terrain.
Greetings from Maine. Congrats on the Camper 👍🏼. The wife and I are getting ready to retire and we’re researching truck campers and travel trailers for exploring North America. I’m leaning towards a TC while my wife likes a TT. This TC may help me convince her that this TC is the way to go.
Question: we’d prefer comfortable chairs in place of the command center. What is the length and width of the opening for the command center? TIA. Al
Крутой кемпер!!! Когда новые путешествия?)
Hi! With this new camper are you still happy with the Hillsboro flatbed? I like everything about aluminum, and will likely get one soon, except some people say the welds will all crack over time when they are fully loaded. Any issues or do you think now you would prefer steel?
Lots of cool features. Speaking of cool, I may have missed it but does this have a standard roof mount AC?
It has a side mount air conditioner.
How is this camper framed? Studded in wood,or aluminum? Iirc, it's framed in wood. See plenty of plywood in the floor storage so that would seem to make sense. Looks quality built and quality plywood.
Is there a new lve, your missing in action. Where are you guys?
Hi - I am picking up my Kingstar camper soon , it's the Kruzr model which is made for flatbeds with side boxes like yours. Does your Camino move at all on the flatbed? I'm a little concerned that without a bed to contain it it will move. I have fastguns to tie down the camper. thanks
It might move 1/4” inch one direction or another. But I’ve never had an issue. It all depends on how you attach it. A rubber mat or possibly foam board will stop the movement.
Because the rig is so large do you experience swaying when traveling or the tipping feeling when driving through wind.
Yes, sway is common, so our suspension is setup to handle the weight and sway. I made a video about suspension upgrades.
@@Stonyboot thank you. I check that out. Can these be built smaller?
@tinacathey8241 some companies sell smaller and collapsing versions called a Pop-up
Is this a new video? Haven't heard from you guys in a long time
New video released today. I have been busy with other things and RUclips was pushed to the back burner for a while.
@@Stonyboot are you guys getting back into traveling?
I would love to have a camper like this, but price is entirely too high.
The inside looks more like a condo than a truck camper. Very posh.
