This video provides really practical and helpful tips for Bible study! I especially liked the part about choosing the right Bible for your needs and finding a translation that’s easy to understand. It’s so important to slow down and meditate on the Word rather than rushing through it. I totally agree that taking time to reflect deeply on each passage helps with understanding and spiritual growth. Thanks for creating such a valuable guide-it’s going to be super helpful for my Bible study journey! 🥰
I had never heard of spiral Bibles. I am totally getting one. Anyway I have a note book where I have actually put Bible tabs in so I can put my notes for that book in the notebook under that tab.
The Blue letter Bible on line is great as well’ although I like having the physical Bible in hand’ but the Blue letter Bible has a lot of references that can help with your studies
Starting in John is a great way to know Jesus. Our church does this and then we go through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse.
This is awesome. Your presentation is exceptionally good. Anyone with a desire to have profitable Bible studies will find your offerings to be most helpful. Thank you very much
You brought up a really important point from the beginning of the video - choosing the right Bible for YOU and the purpose for which you are using it and if you find one isn't working for you, consider why that is and look for something that better suits your personal needs. There are so many options. :o)
Back again binge watching your timely and informative videos. I’m going to buy she reads truth. Thank you for recommending that one. I have the ESV study Bible, scary to me. HCSB study Bible and NLT life app Bible. Waiting on Halley’s Bible handbook, and playing around on bible hub. Now I looking on Temu for Bible supplies. I want to collect all things needed so I have no excuse but to start, then take a deep breath, pray and seek God’s word. So excited to get started. Marking in my Bible everything God shows me and remembering who he is.
@@Karelife praise God! Enjoy being in the Word, but remember, it’s always OK just to read it. Don’t let the overwhelming of studying ever stop you from being in the Word.😊

I ❤ liked your suggestion on using a Translation that make it easier to understand. I also use different reference books such as commentaries, and any Biblical references that paint a clearer picture. Before reading a book I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show me which book to read praying for revelation and how it applies to my spiritual walk. Again excellent video

Study Bibles are my preference, but I also believe that everyone should own a decent Bible Dictionary as well as a great commentary. I am a bit unusual because I have my Study Bible authored by a specific pastor and his trusted associates, then a commentary done by someone entirely different. I like to have different expositions to compare with each other. But, remember to pray first, let the Scriptures speak to you, and then read what the others have to say in order to expand your understanding. A good Bible Dictionary is something you will need to research on your own. I actually have three. They range from basic to very deep and detailed. Of course, budget is also not to be ignored so I would encourage people to have a written copy of The Word, then find some of the many other tools online. There are so many goodies that are free now, so take advantage of what God has provided to us.
@@carmennooner2027 yes a Bible dictionary is great! Definitely will add to your study. I have 2 but also use free apps online. Thanks for your comment 😊🌸
I found B&N selection of bibles pretty sparse. I found your best bet for finding bibles in lots of different translations is a Christian book store in your area. These are getting to be few and far between, but well worth the trip when you find one.
@@tiffanywitmer6360 that’s interesting, I guess it depends on where you are located. My Barnes & Noble’s has a huge selection of Bibles. But yes, a Christian bookstore would also be a great place to look.
That is true even in a big city like Chicago. I've been to two and the selection is sparse. Don't get me wrong, there are still Bibles. But you might not find your particular translation. Or there may be only one in stock of the kind you need, etc. It's sad. I regret that I took my local Christian bookstore for granted for many years. Alas, it closed even before Covid. I had no idea because I didn't get there too often. It's fairly long train ride. I remember walking up to the building and even then, something seemed... off. The windows didn't have the usual cheerful advertisements. There were no people walking around. I got up to the window and saw the shelves bare and other stuff all over the floors. I think I even pulled on the doorknob. My brain glitched, LOL! It took me a few moment to process what I was seeing. I just assumed it would always be there, full of every type of Bible imaginable and you could look and compare print sizes and study helps to your heart's delight.
