Okay seriously, can we be BFF's now? LOL! I literally laughed out loud at a couple spots and am so thankful that you are just being YOU!
Also, I loved this video. I have been really struggling with trying to find a good study system! I'm going to try laying things out as you have done here and giving that a go. I'm excited!

Yesterday was the first time I'd ever heard about setting up prayer Bibles and all the things discussed in this video. It's amazing how many different approaches there are to Bible study!
For me, I stick with one Bible until it falls apart! I was in my last Bible for twenty years, and at almost ten years, my "new" one is still being broken in. 😂I can go back to my old Bible and see my life, I couldn't imagine getting a new one every year. But however you achieve it, what's important is that you get to know and hear God through His word everyday. Good video sis. Keep it up. 😊

"I just said doo-doo" giggle "I'm such a child sometimes". LOL! Me too, sweetie. I'm loving your zest for Bible study and how you've adapted a great way to study with all your helps. What a wonderful time we live in when we have been so blessed with an education (so we can read and think logically), with the resources we have and the money to buy them and all the free resources online. There is not excuse for a Christian in America today not to know the Bible and study it. It's all at our fingertips. And all those resources were developed by scholars who were able to share it and publish it. BTW, I was blessed to have been in public school during a time when God was respected and revered. My first grade teacher helped us memorize John 3:16, Psalm 23, the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule and the Lord's Prayer and had a Bible teacher come in about once a week. The Bible teacher lady came with a flannel board and flannel figures and would tell us Bible stories! Later, in public school, I had to memorize the books of the Bible. In public high school, as an elective, I was able to take a Bible As Lit class that helped me. In Junior High, every morning we had announcements over the intercom which included the Pledge of Allegiance. On Wednesday we had a student led devotion and the Lord's Prayer over the intercom. Now, for those who weren't Christians, they didn't have to participate in it but they showed respect for those of us who did by being quiet during that time (a lesson in itself). And none of that hurt anyone. Teaching the Bible principles of loving, sharing, caring, forgiving, compassion, mercy, grace... where is the harm to ANYONE, regardless of religion (or atheist), in those principles? There is no harm. And now there is definite lack of all those guiding principles in our schools because we deleted God. We have generations of people who have grown up totally ignorant of the Bible and what Christ taught or who He was. All they know about Christianity is the hostile world's view on it. So today, we have schools trying desperately to teach kids to be kind, stop bullying, share, be inclusive... all these godly principles but WITHOUT GOD! And, as a Christian, we know natural sinners that we are, we aren't going to be kind, caring, loving on our own. That's like getting in a car with NO GAS and trying to drive it to the store. There is nothing in the car to power it. The world thinks our cars are like the Flintstone's and we power it ourselves with our little feet. But reality says that car isn't moving without the gas to power it. We have to be born again and have the indwelling Holy Spirit to give us the desire and power for us to follow godly principles. It doesn't come naturally. The fruits of the Spirit grow naturally from the Holy Spirit within us working on us and changing our inner man, growing our spirit. This lifelong process of sanctification can only happen when we are born again and have the Holy Spirit to do the work in us using the Word of God. Keep up the good work. You have started well. I was born into a Christian family. I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't know and accept Jesus and the Bible as the Word of God. I remember making my decision for Christ at 8 yrs old and it meant something to me. It was a true conversion. I wandered a bit as a teenager but didn't dis-believe. I just had questions. But I rededicated my life to the Lord at 17 yrs old and have not looked back since. I've studied the Word deeply and am very active in my faith and relationship with God. I fully trust in the Word. I have always known that if there is something I don't understand or seems contradictory, it was my faulty understanding and perception not a faulty Word. If I studied it, I would begin to see the truth. This approach of faith in the study of the Word has helped me greatly. I'm approaching it with the faith that the Bible is true and I just need to discover and learn how it fits in and what it means. It works every time. People who try to point to contradictions and say the Bible doesn't work, are lazy and haven't studied it for themselves. I have a friend who refuses to believe in the Bible and starts spouting stuff like, "The Bible is full of God killing people and telling His people to commit genocide and I don't believe in a God like that." He's never once read the Bible all the way through or done any study of it whatsoever. Never attended church. He'd rather believe his little hostile sound bite than do the work it takes to find the answers to his questions. I'm praying that the Holy Spirit gets through to him before he dies in unbelief because then he would see the work we expend to know the Word and love Christ would have been worth it and he wasted his time on earth. He's a hardworking, good person that thinks his good works is what will make him acceptable to God in the end and gain him Heaven. But none of us are that good. I claim him for Christ and will continue to try and show him the way. God bless!

Thank you for sharing your wisdom; and I loved hearing about the beauty of your education in your youth and your walk in Faith🌻🧡🌻
The children of this generation truly need so many prayers. They’re facing the end times spiritual warfare unfolding and the birth pains of labor increasing. Families of this time desperately need the Bible more then ever before as culture no longer reveres it. I am so grateful to the wisdom of generations before us and I hope that people such as yourself continue to bestow it.

Check out some RUclips videos on Jonathan Edwards notetaking system. He would create a Miscellanies journal and page number it. For instance, Volume 1, Pg 42; Vol 49, Pg 3. As he studied his Bible, he would make the notes in his Miscellanies journal and then tag his Bible with the Vol and Pg # of those notes. That way he wasn't taking up his Bible space. Of course, this was in the days when you might get one or two Bibles in your whole lifetime and you had to make them last.

This was such a fun walk through. I’m 60 and have been in the word for 40 years, but this is the first time I’ve seen the details of how someone else does their bible time. It is hard to find the books sometimes! I learned a books of the Bible song as a youngster and still refer to it when finding the books. I also make a bookmark for my new bibles with the books and the page numbers. It saves so much time trying to find those shorter books. Tabs look nice, but I only used ones at the beginning of each division (eg prophets) to give me a rough idea of placement. You’re doing a great good for the glory of God in your channel, keep it up!
