andrew Autobuddy jones Yes, if you are doing a lot of gutter cleaning a bigger machine would definitely be great, but this is such a handy little vac!😃👍🏼
I love my atom.. small but packs a punch for what I need it for... Perfect for pressure washing too when you get surface pooling or blowing loose moss 👍
My one arrived in post thursday looking forward to using it got the camera and roof scrapper aswell my Van's a vw caddy so this will be perfect .good channel mate keep up the good work
Hi Ashley I'm exciting that i can't wait for much longer to get my it's on a way to complete the gear for external cleaning thanks to you on your videos i know isn't cheap but...!!! the quality are great I'm going to do smarter that harder work no more risks on ladders every thing from the ground ....
Excellent video. I am about to invest in one + camera as sideline to start. Would you also recommend this for high level internal cleaning, dust, cobwebs removal etc.
Hi Ashley. Love your vlogs. One I would like to see is how to care for an atom how to keep it clean and what you do after you have used it. Maybe something you could do??
That’s a good idea. Thanks. I will get round to it at some point, lots going on at the moment. I did a video about how to clean out your gutter vac poles. It’s in the gutter cleaning playlist on my channel.😃👍🏼
Yes thanks I’ve already watched that one but I think maybe a (how to) for newbies like me on your routine so I can see how you look after it before a job and also after you’ve finished would be good👍👍
Yeah, I guess in these clips I am using between 3-4 pole sections which will be between about 15-20feet. I still have some spare poles in my set I could add to reach even higher.😃👍🏼
for your safety, it takes little time to isolate the first pole with adhesive tape: I plugged the phase into the pole and the phase detector screwdriver lights up on the pole as if I were putting it directly on the electric wire ! , on the elite release pole don't forget the metal ring too (little light too)
Hi mate, excellent vid as usual. Just want to ask a quick question. Where do you plug in the skyvac for power? Do you ask the client to use there plug socket? Thanks in advance. Dean.
Thanks. Yeah, I always check with the customer that there is a plug socket I can use, and I always carry a long extension lead. I’ve never had any issues. 😃👍🏼
Ello mate thinking of buying one to run along side my driveway cleaning , can ask how u price for gutter cleaning? Do u do it by the metre and if so how much ? Cheers great vid!
Just received mine today mate.. watched Spinacleans video on setting up and using the vac... bit confused!!! the guy says leave the dust filter in when vacuuming gutters... the ‘Top Tip’ guid sheet that arrived today with the vac clearly says ‘if vacuuming sludge or liquids remove the dust filter’ any advice appreciated mate cheers.. 👍🏽
I prefer to keep the filter in as much as possible, it protects the motor. You will notice that muck coming into the machine hits the filter in a particular place. So after emptying, try to keep that dirty patch in the same place. If the whole filter becomes dirty/damp it will start to hinder the performance.😃👍🏼
Hi ash I am new to to the gutter vac game and have purchased a sky vac mighty atom and have a job the week end doing a customers gutters but they are full with moss , grass and watery sluge the last few jobs were dry so I kept the filter in , do you recommend removing the filter for this job as the muck is wet thanks ?
I would keep the filter in if you can. It will get wet in the spot where the muck comes into the drum but as long as the whole filter doesn’t become wet you will be fine. Just make sure you put it back in the same place after you empty the drum.😃👍🏼
I am currently looking at the atom mighty kit.comes with camera etc.recently come across a real awkward job which just wouldn't be safe to use ladders etc. It looks to me like the comments are all positive.
@@aemackintosh I've have literally just this second put my order in for the the atom mighty as I have a few gutter clears to do before I stop for Xmas so itl be perfect chance to try it out. Il have to upgrade if it comes to it. Cheers as always.
Hi, I’m looking to start a business doing exterior cleaning. Just wondered if you could help me? Is there any permits you need to start or what insurance? Thanks in advance
Samuel Thewlis You will need public liability insurance, and I recommend an hour a day watching the A.E.Mackintosh channel!😜👍🏼 I hope your plans go well.
Morning Ashley, I have a question..... After watching your video, I took the plunge and brought a Skyvac Atom. Do you leave the filter in when cleaning gutters that have wet sludge and a bit of water? And also, how would you recommend cleaning the filter after use? I've just been rinsing with water. Mark

I got an Atom about three weeks ago 👍 done 4 jobs so far and got serval booked in. Perfect for maintenance cleans

Yes, if you have enough poles so that you can reach.😃👍🏼
Nice vid. What length of pole is that one you have? Will 20ft be ok for most houses?

Do you ever find the poles jam together and struggle to separate after use?
I used to have a set of aluminium poles that were like that, but I’ve never had any issues with these carbon fibre poles.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh thanks for the reply , it must be just mine then , I had to use the heat from a hairdryer to prise mine apart lol
I will have to get me one. Thank you for sharing! :)
Hi Ashley. Why you've updated for bigger one? I've seen you had gutter vac with green lid. What's was wrong with?
Thansk for answer.
I’ve got the Skyvac Industrial but this little atom is handy when my van is full of other stuff. There is always room for the little Atom.😃👍🏼
Hi Ashley
Do you use a generator or plug into the customers electric?
I always check that the customer has a power supply I can use.😃👍🏼
Did you convert your van to plug it in? If not, what do you do to turn it on. This is incase customer is not home
Hi there. What size would you recommend getting as it comes in a number of options. Also are there any accessories you recommend. Thanks

Thank you for your response. Will do the same as you then. Thanks again Dean
Get a 240 plug in your van.
Would that be a good start up Vac? Is it powerful enough?
Sure, it’s great and compact. Bigger more powerful machines might get the job done more quickly, but this is a very handy little bit of kit.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh So it cleans out most gutters? What about the camera? Do you think it is necessary? Thanks for your advice.
I sometimes just use my GoPro to check the gutters, but most of the time you can tell by feel when you have got everything out. 😃👍🏼

Yeah, about £3-5 per meter. The clips on the guttering are usually 1meter apart so that makes it easy to work out.😃👍🏼

Where's the link to purchase?
Travis Cleggett I’ve put a link in the description for you.😃👍🏼
Just going to buy this unit, did you experience any problems with constant blockages of the pipes as they are 44mm ?
It depends on the job and what’s in the gutter, but I wouldn’t say it’s an issue.👍🏼

Gardiner pole, and they do a camera adapter for it.👍🏼

They're carbon fibre mate
Carbon fibre, very light. Reaching over a conservatory has never been easier!😃👍🏼
