Unless you have the Stinger, you can't reliably hit this thing; I swear, more than once, I took aim at a stationary Chrysalis with my RPG2, fired, and Chrysalis would instantly move 50 something feet to the side and I would miss.
I beat him with a M60 Machine gun I also got 3 free hits on him with the Law launcher thanks to the chaff grenades shit I was hard but not impossible but God help you if you fight the Chrysalis part 2 extra ops mission without the Stringer
I've played this a couple of times and got S-Rank but can't seem to get the railgun. Any tips? Or do I need all the A.I. to equip it, because it says I got the railgun at the end of the fight.
I don't care about the shout-out, but I'ma help because I like to feel useful. You get the FIM's requirements after the chopper boss fight. If you still don't have it, check the "Missiles" section in the R&D unit and if it's in a black box, you don't have the requirements for it yet. Hope this helps :)
@DarknessFox Thank you, sir. I actually beat this AI the other day. I just got past that torture section. I was having trouble with it the other night, but tried again yesterday and beat it. I’m now about to fight Peace Walker and my FIM is 93% complete.

Yeah it has that little "ultra instinct" move, try using chaff grenades beforehand.

Chaff Grenades help by the way . I tried them and the Chrisalis got out of control shaking around in one spot for a while .

Speed depends on the level of your intel team
You actually have to press the action button after you placed the box while still holding the item, like for c4
