- Complete Zadornov Search 6. Mother Base must have been upgraded to 2 plants. When your Intel Team reaches Lv. 40, development on the second plant will begin. At that point, complete 13 Extra Ops missions other than Target Practice: No Limit or training missions to complete construction. You must have gathered all the basic parts for Metal Gear ZEKE, and must have the railgun installed. Metal Gear ZEKE cannot be assigned to an Outer Ops Team. After fulfilling the requirements above, complete 3 additional Extra Ops missions (other than Target Practice: No Limit) to trigger the call from Kaz informing you that Zadornov has escaped his cell again.

I remember when I first played this mission, I saw mother base and was like "I wish I could actually go into mother base" then I bought MGSV and I was happy

I like how in MGSV Big Boss replicates the Rocket Arm idea, and even has his arm be a similar color to Zadornov’s arm.
Before I started playing MGSV, I actually believed it was the same arm, until I saw Venom Snake use a lighter

@@Terraqueo22 you can take away infantry, armour and air assets but mother base should still have some fixed AAAs or something for self defence, theoretically speaking. It wouldn't cost much in terms of software or hardware. I don't know...bah whatever.

Or Go to R&D and see dudes working on projects that you are currently researching. Or Go to the arsenal and shooting range to test weapons and vehicles, even tanks or helicopters that you captured.. On Kojima eyes That was supposed to be made in MGS V.... But He was fired from Konami. And we are left with an incomplete feeling in our chest....
I remembered when I played this game and I grinded zeke so hard that he was nearly invincible whenever I send him to missions. Then, when paz stole it, it was the biggest mistake of my life... I was spending multiple hours on my psp just to beat my goddamn zeke (I maxed him out and everything). My brother on the other hand is so lucky because he was still new to mgspw, so when he got to the mission it took him literally just 20 mins to beat his zeke. T_T

I just played through Metal Gear Solid again, and actually the Chaff didn't stop Liquid from seeing and tracking me when it was active, it just messed up his missiles, which makes sense because those relied on guidance. I had to use a stun grenade to escape his vision once the cockpit was open. Maybe you're just remembering it wrong?
It'll be inmune to chaff if it has a radome.

Even one time in the Phantom Pain let the enemy infiltrated one of the platform, which I frustratingly quit the current mission to save my staff. High ranking ones.

Lmao jokes on Paz, I grinded through the extra ops to unlock and rank up my weapons, got lazy trying to max out Zeke (100 memory boards wtf?) so when it got to this, she was piloting a walking scrap.

Another boss to push yourselves with, I really like how you can make this practically impossible to fight. If you can do this on Max difficulty chuck Norris would probably call you 'sir' .

When I found this mission completely by accident I was shocked. I thought I’d done pretty much all that was left I probably played like 200 hours of this game after beating the fake ending. I never dreamed that there would be this crazy secret ending hidden in the lowly shooting range mission.
People complained that the song didn't fit, but it's brilliant.

The more fun battle is after this, as you can fight Zeke at any time with the AI boards you collected, the more you collect, the faster, stronger and tougher Zeke gets, until it reaches the point that it makes the Paz battle look pathetic, as suddenly Zeke is moving twice as fast, dealing ridiculous damage and attacking relentlessly, its actually nastier than Peace Walker once you have it fully upgraded. Not as tough overall, but way more proactive at crushing you.
i like how this fight is a evolution of solid vs liquid battle, she even use the classic IS NOT OVER YET!, and the echo effect from the megaphone.

I found that mission completely by accident when I was ducking around with the target practice.My mind was blown off
I honestly find this fight to be way more satisfying than Sahelanthropus. The Stealth element was cool in the Sahelanthropus fight. However, I loved how action packed this one was and how you basically use everything MSF has built up to beat her. Getting supply packages, rocket strikes, covers from the rail gun, and the fight atop Motherbase. It was epic and felt like the culmination of the entire game, especially if you unlocked most of the weapons, tools, and items.
Whereas Sahelanthropus felt obligatory and not fully realized. Though, it was cool to have a Metal Gear fight with stealth being the primary mechanic.
I do have to give credit to Kojima for being able to realize some pretty large scale boss fights on the psp, especially this one. Though, I always prefer to play Legacy Collection version for ps3.

Giving the fight 8th MS Team Legitimacy. They used ground sonar to locate giant robots in the jungle too. Robots that tower over trees can be hard to find. And Zaku's are painted green normally sooo yea. Totally a legit usage of the sound indicator.

Paz is a ray of light, a weak spark of innocence in a world and era of chaos and doubt, she made changes to all plans to protect Big Boss and MSF while still posing as Zero's puppet, she even tried to protect 'em from Skull Face
and aunt Strangelove, she seriously had some bad luck, The Boss, Paz, specially Huey, but at least she had Otacon, the only male in the world she had actually loved, just enough to give her life to protect him, and he helped to create a better world
When I first played this game and got to the bird mission the character who was supposedly pazs friend who was 10 years older and never met her at all legit set my alarms bells off back when the game first came out on psp and the fact she never once questioned zadornov at all pretty much made me caught on she’s either forgetful or a liar lol

Is it just me or did attempting to use mother base's guns just make this right needlessly difficult? You have to stand still for so long to do it you just take tons of damage. Ignoring them made the fight do much easier.
I totally agree. I just finished the game yesterday and trying to do that just got me killed every time. Once I stopped trying to do it, I was able to win with relative ease.
This fight is so HARD for me cuz i maxed half of the AI of metal gear ZEKE and has all optional parts. But it became easy cuz of the save and load state.

Also there is a reason none of the msf soldiers come to your aid in the fight. Since jpop is blasting during the fight this is basically a battle between 2 idols and all the msf soldiers that i kidnapped are in another platform , glowsticks in hand cheering for their most favourite idol Big Boss, with Kaz leading the charge. This is canon, my headcanon

Do you think the designs of the UG Gekkos and MG Rex were inspired by MG Zeke's design? I mean when I look at those two, the way their legs are and the shape and design of the platform that houses the weapons and control hub have close similarities.
Metal gear Rex was inspired by Metal gear sahelanthropus

David Hernandez Sahelantropus was first introduced in MGS V (2015) while Rex was introduced in MGS 1 which was made about 20 years ago
MVG The events of MGSV happen around 1980-1999 (cannot remember the exact date) while the Shadow Moses incident (MGS1) happens around the 2000's , so it would make sense that REX is inspired on Sahelantropus
I think Portable Ops isn't canon because it make more sense from a narrative perspective if Zeke was the first Metal Gear.
But that could be used as a plot twist if your playing it in chronological order.
Also Null comes into the play. They have a connection too.
But Zeke is far more anachronistic than Raxa, not as anachronistic as Sahelanthropus, but it has a railgun which the next 2 Metal Gears didn't have, not to mention those ridiculous and physics defying jumping heights.
It's canon, the patriots expunge tons of data from the public eye so Rex was the first true Metal gear under the new nuclear treaties
Idk, Raxa being the first Metal gear makes more sense. It was a prototype, but it was pretty bad. Just like the Shagohod was a prototype of Sokolovs and it was also outdated.
And isn't Peace Walker also a metal gear? it has 4 legs sure but it can stand on 2. Infact most bosses in PW are basically metal gears just without the capacity to launch a nuke.

The music during the boss fight was probably one of the biggest whiplashes I had in my years of gaming.
Even after following the advice here and in many other places, It just didn't start. So here I am, watching the final boss.
So, considering ZEKE wasnt destroyed at the end of this, is there a chance that he may appear in The Phantom Pain? I know mother base gets destroyed in the trailers, but ZEKE may still be able to survive. I think it would be awesome if he did.
