MGS2 was my life for several years. Big Boss on European Extreme countless times, around 2h15m. Top scores on all VR levels, speed runs on the Boss Battles. Unfortunately I was playing it after they had closed the website to enter online scores. Big Boss on MGS3 as well but I never loved it like I loved MGS2.

I've beaten MGS2 dozens of times over the past twenty years and I only just completed it on Extreme for the first time a couple years ago. It was so unbelievably difficult and every single time I thought I had gotten through the hardest part it kept getting exponentially harder. Even after doing it myself I can barely believe that 20 Metal Gear fight is humanly possible. The fact that people can achieve a Big Boss rank with such absurd additions on top of that brutal difficulty will never cease to amaze me. Anyone who has done so is truly above even the Boss
Yea, getting through the Extreme difficulty alone is a nightmare, let alone those saves and shots restrictions. The best I could do is beating the Hard difficulty and the furthest on the Extreme that I got to were the RAYs (for clarity, I fell at that point). It's not just the RAYs that I am frustrated about, but also the fact that I had a hard time doing the first torture, so it makes me wonder if I would even got through the second one after the RAYs should I made it through. Overall speaking, I have never ever made it through any MGS game on Extreme (but am tempted to do that on MGS1, now that it is clear that it allows special items), but boy, the target for MGS1 is of course the platinum trophy which requires you to finish the VR missions. Ah speaking of VR missions, I have finished it once before (except for the ninja missions which I did not have access to over a decade ago), but having watched how others played the MGS2 VR missions, I know I have better ways to spend my time than getting the MGS2 platinum......
It's worth noting that the torture sequence is SIGNIFICANTLY harder on the PS2 Substance release of MGS2 and was toned down a lot for the HD Collection and all future re-releases.
I've read on forums how people would literally get blisters, tear the skin on their fingers, or even bleed because of how fast they had to press the button to keep breathing. Someone even said they used a spoon to press the button and they bent the spoon in the process.
I remember needing a spoon for that. There was just no way I could do it otherwise... and this was on Normal 🤷♀ I managed without it in the HD, so good riddance! I seriously hate things like this.
@@solidzack 20 years ago (yes, let that sink in for a second 😱😱😱) I used a small Lego Brick to quickly tap the button with it, with a special technique of alternating finger and whole wrist muscles - in order to have a better chance of passing that torture sequence... ....but... BUT I NEVER THOUGHT IT'D BE EASIER IF YOU LOOKED AT SOLID SNAKE !!! This game's still taking me to school !
Complain all you want about the master collection being kinda a letdown, It's the reason i could play these absolute masterpieces. Best 60 bucks i ever spent.
If I’ve seen this video before the guide for the BB title I probably wouldn’t even tried it. Lucky me it was the other way around, that fight with the 20 mg rays was epic!!! It made me feel worthy of the title after passing the tangus part with that glitch 😬 once again thanks for that amazing guide ❤
Bravo, superb overview for people wanting to attempt BB rank, and then the detailed video. During this overview video, it reminded me why MGS1 was universally acclaimed in 98 and why MGS2 was polarizing on 2002 (Raiden-Anakin character, Emma mission, annoying bombs, weird bosses...). GG champ and thanks
The struggle is real. I spent 2-3 days getting this one rank for my platinum run. The feeling of relief after each save, the whole game is nothing but trial and error. And each error takes up 20-30 minutes of your time.
Mgs2 best tip for plant chapters beginning. Drag all 3 guards to the lockers in the first area. And for fatman just run after him and dont let him do a thing(if u chase him all the time, he barely has time to place one bomb or even activate it). U can also just bully fatman for free after defusing the first bomb, second one does not need to be defused immediately(u have time).
I was stuck on fatman for days until I found out about the auto aim mechanic by holding L1. Not many people seem to mention that. Helped me immensely chasing him around
I can't believe I beat this game, thanks to your guide of course! I almost quit so many times too. I took a break before trying to platinum Snake Eater cause MGS2 was INTENSE. Glad to know the hardest game is done for me haha.
Just picked up the Master Collection for my first introduction to Metal Gear Solid. The first game blew me away and after completing the trilogy I decided to get all achievements for each game. I completed MGS1 and was feeling confident. I actually found this channel because of the Dog Tag guides for MGS2. After watching this, I think I'll just move on to MGS3.
Funny enough, I recently achieved MGS2 Big Boss (with a lot of credit to your guide video) and o was DREADING the Ray fight. But due to my save economy, the Tengu fights were by far the hardest part. It took a lot of practice to pass fight 1 and 2 back to back even with the Tengu 1 skip and chokehold skip. After a couple of practice rounds, I beat the Ray gauntlet on my third attempt 😅
I rarely take my time to comment, however i need you to know that you need to do more of these „documetary“ type of videos. You have a great voice, sence for humor and you could do much more than guides. I bet this will make your channel grow like crazy
I must say that I have the platinums of the entire saga, I have the platinums of the PS3 versions of MGS2 and MGS3 and in those versions MSG2 was the most difficult since you had to complete the game 100%, that meant completing all the Snake Tales, getting all the Dog Tags, which already forced you to play on all the available difficulties except for the European Extreme, which although it was not necessary to get the Big Boss rank, I still remember that it was too complicated a challenge, but I did it. What was most frustrating was completing the 500 VR missions, of which some were too shitty, like the first-person missions that didn't fit very well in a game that was designed to be played in third person or the sniper missions protecting a target , I did all that and it was the hardest thing for me in the game. With the new Master Collection I must say that for the Big Boss rank it was indeed a difficult challenge but I already had the experience of having played before on Extreme difficulty to get all the Dog Tags, and I also had already mastered all the mechanics of the game due to having completed all 500 VR missions previously. I feel satisfied that I achieved the Big Boss ranks in Metal Gear Solid and MGS2, as I had never tried before, as well as the Foxhound rank in MGS3, which I had also never tried. The only game where I had to get the Big Boss rank mandatory to get platinum was MGS4: Guns Of The Patriots, which although it was also a great challenge, I still considered the platinum of MGS2 (PS3 Version) much more difficult than that of MGS4. Now with this new version in the Master Collection I think MGS2 it is still the most difficult in the saga so far, of course, if we do not take into account the platinum of the spinoff Metal Gear Rising which would be the most difficult in general.
I've beaten these games countless times but i never attempted to go for the Big Boss rank until i became a completionist. Now i really want to, but the thought of time restraint alone is enough to hold me back from starting. Overall, i love a challenge but when a time limit is part of it, it stops being exciting for me almost entirely. I remember how tough the Rays boss fight within arsenal gear was on the extreme difficulty when i did it for the platinum on PS3 back in the day. Pretty sure that part took me 30 retries or something. Imagine the stress of me rushing to get there in the first place lol.
The only time I tried something hard in a game was Halo's LASO but boy, never again with that. Even when I had the PS2 and MGS, I never played anything above Hard and most of the time I played on Normal.
Funny enough, the original reason why i wanted to quit big boss rank was because of the torture section and me not clicking fast enough. It probably took me longer then the ray fight because my last save on my first BB playthrough was the ray fight. As for solidus he was a joke and is nothing compared to tengu 1, ray fight and the torture sequence
I honestly am glad i went through hell doing big boss run on mgs 2. Biggest pain in the ass most definitely but actually completing it and finally achieving something after so many years is the best feeling ever
There are even fewer players who got the best rank in every game with 0 saves. I managed that back in the day, but I doubt I would have that much patience nowadays.
Interesting about saying the Rays are by far the hardest part. To me with that one the only hard part is the length. The fight itself is easy, ya know? Basically if you run around you won’t be getting hit. Fatman for me was by far possibly the worst boss I’ve ever faced in my 33 years of gaming.
I just used action replay max to give me weapons on tanker, I killed Olga instead of tranqing her. I giggled a little when after you beat her with or without an AK, she is asleep afterwards, you can shoot her when normally you wouldn't have ammo. Otacon still calls to call you a monster. I figured it would freeze.
13:50 You can pick up the claymores around the strut F-E connecting bridge or whatever it was called and use them against Fatman, one of them is enough to knock him for some easy damage
The main problem with the tanker is that once you do it you fall into that gambling like mindset where you have invested too much to back out so you just have to suck it up and die to fatman 100x too
vamp was easy for me on my first playthrough because i cheesed it by laying down prone next to the exit door, then firing nikita missiles at him while he'd slowly walk to me and not even attack
Today I just finished extreme mode for the first time since mgs2 was a new PS2 game, and honestly I know the game so well that there's only a handful of bits (tanker guard rush, harrier, and Vamp sniping are the worst for me) where I'm struggling. I've had to take a break for a while, but when I turn it on next I'm going for the big boss rank practice runs.
You know what's funny? I got big boss rank earlier the rays were easy, solidus choke was easy (i used a spoon of all things) and then because of the spoon trick i used, i went into solidus' fight with almost max health and for those that don't know what the spoon trick is: you rub the back side of a spoon over whatever the resist button is (for me.. it was triangle because i'm on ps4)
I finished all MGS in a big boss/fox hound rank. The most difficult is MGS 2 without a doubt. Bonus: MGS V S rank all missions is very doable. The most difficult would be Extreme Back-up Back down probably. 4) MGS 3 - Easiest to do a fox hound run. 5 Hrs is very doable and the motor bike chase is much more doable than MGS 4. The bosses also have an easy way to deal with save for the pain and/or fury. 3) MGS 1 - Easiest in terms of stealth even with Radar off. However, Boss fights can be challenging along with the forced encounters with kill limit being low and no actual non-lethal option. Twin Snakes is way easier for big boss run though. 2) MGS 4 - Unlimited saves makes things easier along with 4/5 hrs gameplay. But the motor cycle section is just frustrating. and Ch 2 accidental kill can be tricky. 1) MGS 2 - This is just another realm of difficulty. I finished my big boss run with the option "gameover when spotted" which apparently is a mistake. The Alert won't happen until the call was made but with "gameover when spotted" prevents any reaction. The boss fights are just too tricky and the MD/Bullet limit makes things even more difficult. My big boss run is 4 Saves, and 2:55 hours. Almost failed to do so. And I nevwr attempted to the same thing again.
One of the hardest bosses in a game for me was the harrier on v.hard, couldn't imagine doing it with limited saves, no deaths and a harder difficulty, I forgot the rays! The time between their shots for you to get one off is near impossible
At 8:45. There is an very easy way. Before you go to the terminal you can take the into the cupboards in the first room. 😁 I have the big boss ranks in Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.
I've been playing MGS my whole life. I played MGS1 in 2001 for the first time and started following the franchise since then with every installment. But I started doing the Big Boss challenges way later. I believe the very first time I did one was on MGS1 around 2007 or 2008, then I did MGS3 and eventually I did MGS4 after release. But MGS2? I never ever even dared to try it, the whole thing intimidated me. I rather did MGS4 once again when the trophies were added. But then the pandemic happened, and I had an urge to replay all main 4 MGS (MGSV? Replay? What is that?) and said to myself "Why not? Why shouldn't I finally do it?" and started doing Big Boss runs for all 4 of them in order. MGS1 was as hard as I rememberd but doable. MGS3 was the easiest of the bunch, not too hard. MGS4 was alright except for the Bike section, like I always remembered, still harder than MGS1 just because of that section. But MGS2... I had to plan ahead. I prepared my save points, endured a lot of suffering and frustration trying to come up with my routes and the bosses strategies... To eventually and finally do it. I got the rank. I was done. I could rest. I hated the whole thing and said to myself I'd never attempt to do that run again. But then... The Master Collection happened. And the Platinum asked for Big Boss Ranks on all games, even MGS2. I didn't want to do it. I DREADED even thinking about it. But I took up the courage once more and decided to take the challenge. I even had my old save points data on a spreadsheet and my old times per save point to have a comparison. And guess what? The second time it was a blast, I had FUN doing it, FUN! What the hell? Even the dreaded bombing sections, particularly Strut E I enjoyed, since I was on a mental state of "I'm just doing a very long VR Mission" and was having fun planning my route and approach. I ended the run with high hopes of eventually doing it again sometime. Am I crazy? My save points were 1. Plant Beginning, 2. Pre Fortune Fight, 3. Post Fatman Fight (Yep, I rather do Fortune and Fatman in a single run than save before him, I hate that guy with a passion), 4. Post Harrier (going back to the Harrier after dying isn't that big of a deal to me), 5. Post Vamp Pre Emma PSG1 Section, 6. Pre Tengus, 7. Post Tengus/Pre RAYs and finally 8. Pre Solidus. Most boss fights are awful, but doable. Even Olga. Even Fortune. Fatman was the most RNG-based. The Harrier was a beast and dreaded fight, specially the first time, but after some pattern recognition and strategizing is completely doable, during my second time I did it in very few attempts it surprised even myself. But the rest... With Vamp, the first time I did it was my most dreaded boss fight of the game. But the second time I did it, I got given a godly advice that made the fight a cakewalk and the easiest of the game. When Vamp comes to the platform for you and runs towards to stab you, you can equip the Nikita and press Circle to hit him with the weapon itself, which has a ridiculously high hitbox, deals a good amount of stun damage to Vamp and makes him retreat and go down the pool. With that the fight went by like nothing. The Arsenal Gear part with Snake was frustrating. I did it legitimately both times, and the first section is by far the worst, since Snake tends to just push forward and die. The second part? It's an easy walk, since you can equip the H.F. Blade on non-lethal mode, press L1 to block incoming fire and just stun the Tengus with the blade while Snake kills everyone else. In the second part Snake won't die, at least he didn't for me ever, since here if you just keep running in circles while blocking, Snake will probably kill most of the Tengus. The RAYs are... The easiest fight for me. When I fight them I literally enter "the zone", a mental state where I can keep doing that indefinetely until they are dead because I recognize all their attacks and know what to and what not to do. Love them. And Solidus was a pain the first time, specially his missiles attacks. The second time I discovered (maybe rediscovered?) that I could block most of his attacks and the fight was easy. I remembered from my first run that I could dodge the missiles while slipping on the ledges of Federal Hall. All in all, Big Boss Rank is something to be earned, it's a challenge, and the ultimate way of experiencing any MGS. In terms of difficulty from hardest to easiest: MGS2 > MGS4 > MGS1 > MGS3.
I was totally unaware you were allowed to save at ALL in any of the MGS games and still get big boss. Omfg! I always thought it was without saving. I once made it from beginning all the way to fatman AND defeated him without saving once. Then the next area I was spotted and screwed it. I tried to get it on both first and second game. If I knew I could save 8 and 80 times I would have definitely got it!
@MrRadicalDude not yet. I haven't bought it yet because I heard about all the bugs and have been playing other games. I eventually will though. It's just having kids makes it that much harder.

@@MrRadicalDude I got most of them doing MGS3 rn but I‘m pretty sure it‘s gonna be pretty easy. I spent 9 hours straight on Extreme Olga as a child when this game came out, I developed a muscle memory that hasn't left me to this day, I can still confidently kick her ass on Extreme after all these years.
The best hint I can give is respect the game difficult playing in normal / normal hard in your first run and then playing in the extreme difficult without getting annoyed with the restrictions, you need to evolve and learn how it looks like.
Could just be me, but I recently 100% the whole franchise, and I had the most trouble with E-Extreme Snake Eater. MGS2 felt relatively easy in comparison. IMO it's due to the fact that MGS2 allows for pauses to not count towards game timer, MGS3 is the only game where once you're playing EVERYTHING adds to that timer, even being paused or loading saves.
It may not be the hardest big boss rank but mgs4 might have the single most annoying segment. The bike chase without solar gun and metal camo to cut damage in 1/2 is a nightmare.
I've gotten big boss rank 3 times now on 3 separate accounts, i might sound insane but the more i re did it the more it was fun and fair making me test my limits with making saves very long to the next and so on. except tengu 1 and tengu 2 they suck even with my multiple play throughs of this game snake either dies too fast or i die too fast.
If you can use stealth in msg1 that makes the part going up the endless steps of stairs , more easier cuz man you’ll definitely need that one ration there and then . Or when you fist fighting liquid
Save your stuns and time when to throw them. I got the elite trophy few months back on xbox and that took me several attempts on them stairs. That and the Hind fight

Big Boss rank honestly scares me, I am NOWHERE near skilled enough to even think about attempting it. Still cool to see people get it though, Also wouldn't it better better to get the M9 before pliskin and stilman?
Haha, you can definitely pull it off if you tried! It's hard for sure but not impossible! And it depends really. It's definitely a bit of wasted time to pick up the M9 early but if players feel more comfortable doing it that way it can make things a little easier!
10:22 WAIT I DIDNT KNOW U COULD JUST HIT THEM THERE AND THEY FAINT BRUV!!!!! I've been playing this game non-stop since I was 4/5 yo back in 2001 and I may know every line of codec and cutscene at this point, but I STILL DIDN'T KNOW THIS WTF
I tried playing the plant chapter on European extreme the other day I couldn’t even make it to the eleveator I was like naaaahh this ain’t it. The enemies can see so far. Hard mode is a breeze though
MGS2 Vamp was the hardest boss for me in the series. To make matters worse with him, my ps3 got ylod when I was at the Vamp boss fight in mgs4. Such a dick
Wait... No... After the harrier fight you don't have to make that leap of faith. That's only if you want the AK suppressor. You can hang off the railing to the right and drop onto the pipe to continue. And if you die, you don't have to redo the harrier fight. At least not in the hd collection
WOW!! I thought this was about MSG 3 or something...definitely not MSG 2. I played this as one of the last games I played during my Junior year of High School...and I can with certainty I had ZERO problems getting the bandana/camo for Snake, the wigs for Raiden, and getting my muscle strength up to the highest level for both characters. How was this game hard at all, like seriously? There were hard games I played as a kid that were unfairly hard due to nonsense like hits that knocked you into pits...Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden come to mind first, haha. But ya, I didn't find a single thing in MSG2 hard by any means. I thought MSG for PS One was so much more difficult. Also...have you played Lion King for SNES or Genesis? Because THOSE are f'n hard games without a doubt, and anyone that was 5-12 when it came out, you know exactly what I mean. So ya, I can only assume you're a kid and are like 26 or 27, and didn't play NES/Genesis games growing up. That's why you think this game is "hard"...you never played Battletoads, Smash TV, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, Lion King, Bug Bunny's Birthday Bash, and so many others on the earliest systems.
No MGS game is really hard if you know what you're doing, I mean ffs if DSP has beaten MGS2 anyone can, but that wasn't the point of the video in the first place, like at all, this was about what game is the toughest if you intend to get the Big Boss rank, there's a big gap between playing these games casually and perfecting them, if not him, then trust me on that. Also, sidenote, that absolute insane level of difficulty in old Nintendo and Sega games you're describing was born out of necessity more than anything else, they all came in the awkward transitory period between Arcades and home consoles, it was none other than a holdover to artificially inflate the amount of content those games really had.
You're missing a requirement for big boss rank. You can't destroy more then 40 machines I believe. Like the cipher drones and cameras. Or maybe it's 60. I forget the number.
...but what is the "10.5 life bars" in MGS3? Are those based on the starting length? 14:35 no, you can instead hang from the remainders of the railing on the right, to fall from it on the pipe below. Of course, the jump is much quicker (and leads to some items)

I've read on forums how people would literally get blisters, tear the skin on their fingers, or even bleed because of how fast they had to press the button to keep breathing. Someone even said they used a spoon to press the button and they bent the spoon in the process.
I remember needing a spoon for that. There was just no way I could do it otherwise... and this was on Normal 🤷♀
I managed without it in the HD, so good riddance! I seriously hate things like this.
There's two torture instances. In the second one your life drains slower while you look at Solid Snake
This game's still taking me to school !
still stuck at fatman... need a long break and I'll retry it. Thank you for all the support
I came up just short in mgs2, and couldn't get through the gauntlet, and then save file corrupted
@@aleksi1537 Did u try to do fatman without that xd. Good thing u found out about L1. Its quite impossible without L1 auto aim.
@@max-power1023 yes xd. Found that out the hard way. Had totally forgotten about it as I always used first person view while shooting
Enjoyed the watch, thank you!
I 100%ed the game on my PS3, 10 years ago... easily the hardest platinum trophy ever I did.
Great breakdown! MGS2 is easily the most challenging Big Boss rank, mostly because of that insane save limit.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, the saves are brutal!
"if you go right you are fucked" i felt that
Funny enough, I recently achieved MGS2 Big Boss (with a lot of credit to your guide video) and o was DREADING the Ray fight.
Yup MGS2 plat was by far the hardest one
I play games for fun, not for torment.
Imagine the stress of me rushing to get there in the first place lol.
lol that's kind of ridiculous
I hereby award you the title of Big Bad Ass Boss Man
The only time I tried something hard in a game was Halo's LASO but boy, never again with that.
Even when I had the PS2 and MGS, I never played anything above Hard and most of the time I played on Normal.
To be fair Halo LASO would make the hardest MGS achievement look like a joke.
I'll never play this game on this kind of difficulty but nice commentary. Hope to see a video like this on MGS3.
The main problem with the tanker is that once you do it you fall into that gambling like mindset where you have invested too much to back out so you just have to suck it up and die to fatman 100x too
I was proud to get the platinum on all the MGS games.
Go and play the torture part on european extreme on the original ps2 version of the game then come back and tell me it was "not a big deal".
Somehow, I find MGS Twin Snakes harder than MGS2.
For Fatman, just place claymore mines to knock him down, or use CQC when he stops to place a bomb. That saves a ton of shots fired.
8 saves is fucking crazy holy shit cannot wait to see how you do it.
He’s already done it.
the fury was pretty hard on ee but those rays are frickin insane. no wonder raiden became a monster in mgs4
vamp was easy for me on my first playthrough because i cheesed it by laying down prone next to the exit door, then firing nikita missiles at him while he'd slowly walk to me and not even attack
Ultimate challanege: Do it all without a single save without alerting the enemy or doing hold ups unless it's 100% unavoidable. No glitches/exploits.
Started this run over the weekend. Still to hit the first save point :)
Good luck with your run! You've got this! 💪🏼
@@PerfectStealth Update: Im now part of the Big Boss club. Cheers for the fantastic guide!
As a kid who only beat this game on USA extreme when it came out, this gives me PTSD
You know what's funny?
I got big boss rank earlier
the rays were easy, solidus choke was easy (i used a spoon of all things) and then because of the spoon trick i used, i went into solidus' fight with almost max health
and for those that don't know what the spoon trick is: you rub the back side of a spoon over whatever the resist button is (for me.. it was triangle because i'm on ps4)
Tengus can be cheesed, but FUCK that fight in Tanker before the holds
I never could get past the mash button section at the end on euro extreme hopefully I'll try again some other day
I always thought peace walker was the hardest game to play an master
I knew I didn’t make up that Snake had blue glasses in Plant
Not being able to shoot down the light or the tarp before Olga kicks your teeth in with them is why I never beat extreme
I have the big boss ranks in Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.
3 months later, have you gotten it?
@MrRadicalDude not yet. I haven't bought it yet because I heard about all the bugs and have been playing other games. I eventually will though. It's just having kids makes it that much harder.
@@SOURCEw00t i dont think i ran into amy bugs, i think they have since smoothed out the game from it’s questionable launch. It shouldn’t be too terribly time demanding, but hey if you dont have time, you dont have time. Come back and let me know if you ever get it!
@@MrRadicalDude I got most of them doing MGS3 rn but I‘m pretty sure it‘s gonna be pretty easy.
MG & MG2 = easy
MGS1 = easy
MGS2 = Big Boss run almost drove me crazy… very difficult
MGS3 = idk but seems much easier with 25 saves & all camos for the Fox Hound run
Was a lot of fun tho :D for a hardcore MGS freak I highly recommend it
@@gnusch3109 im just starting my mgs3 run, im to the first ocelot fight. How’s your run going?
I’ve managed to get Big Boss once on Extreme, but screw that Ray fight
0:28 he in fact was going to.
The cutoff is hilarious
on the vamp fight. just shoot out the lights. he can't shadow lock you then.
I spent 9 hours straight on Extreme Olga as a child when this game came out, I developed a muscle memory that hasn't left me to this day, I can still confidently kick her ass on Extreme after all these years.
I only managed to beat E.E in MGS3 and receiving the title of 'cow'
@@JoséBrozTitomoo
The best hint I can give is respect the game difficult playing in normal / normal hard in your first run and then playing in the extreme difficult without getting annoyed with the restrictions, you need to evolve and learn how it looks like.
I remember a good 12 years ago I used to watch my brother do this for fun
That liquid beat down was satisfying
Kicking him off Rex as a finisher just adds to the disrespect.
As a kid I gave up beating the MG Rays after tens of tries
Maybe as a younger man inwould have given it a go. I just don't have it in me anymore to want this BB rank anymore. Well done to those who have. You're more man than I'll ever be
Was your MGS1 footage from the Master Collection? It looks much better than mine. I've played it on Xbox and PC. - mods are the answer maybe?
I'm personally scarred from when I tried to get the platinum trophy for mgs4....that big mama chase scene is about to drive people nuts when it gets a remaster 😭
Lore accurate run
Tried the Big Boss around 2008, I gave up at the Rays. I've not played the game since.
Same I wasn’t aware that move existed but in the end, it was that move that carried me the whole Big Boss run up to the Platinum 😂
Yea….I’ll stick with trying to achieve 500 VR in the hd version instead. Boss rank for platinum? That’s torture!
mgs2 EE is probably the only game that ever beat me, I wasn't even going for a rank.. I got to the rays.. I couldn't do it man..
Only some bosses on extreme mode, big boss runs are hard in this game .
Such a dick
I will mever go for this mgs 3s foxhoud broke me and thats a lot easier
MGS3’s Foxhound rank is an awesome achievement!
Wait...
It's not an stealth challenge if been undetected is the easiest part
I tried MGS2 on extreme and got all the way up to the torture scene and till this day I can't pass it.
Mgs 4 is the easiest one to get Big Boss Rank. Took 3 days- between work & play throughs.
Can you use special items in MGS 2
You're missing a requirement for big boss rank. You can't destroy more then 40 machines I believe. Like the cipher drones and cameras. Or maybe it's 60. I forget the number.
average MGSV dude playing mission 45 with %0 health, no enchantments, naked, no weapons, no items, only fulton>>>
...but what is the "10.5 life bars" in MGS3? Are those based on the starting length?
14:35 no, you can instead hang from the remainders of the railing on the right, to fall from it on the pipe below.
Of course, the jump is much quicker (and leads to some items)
You can lie down adjacent to door against vamp and use nikitas
i never even tried
