@@A-B101 nope, he doesn't die during that fight, I country during my Fox run and i had 23 kills, i got 6 kills with the meryl guard rush, i killed the 2 gunners during the m1 tank fight, i Killed jhonny on accident, 4 kills during the Camo guard rush, 3 kills during the lift guard rush and the last 7 on the final escape
I managed to get out of the cell without an alert but then i realised i never turned the radar off, thank Kojima that Fox rank still unlocks the trophy.
Oh ffs yup thats it, that extra alert because i literally span Snake around quickly to orientate myself and accidentally walked too close to the PAL room trigger, came back and just assumed it was all one continued alert! Goddamit!!! Thanks man, im on it lol
Shortly after the release of Master Collection Vol. 1, the Fox/Big Boss rank trophy was one of the first trophies I got, and I got a blast doing that run on how methodical I had to go (glitches or not), not to mention that it was my very 1st elite rank run I really took seriously, of course that in Twin Snakes the Kill counter is different due to using the Sons of Liberty ruleset in that regard (saves are still 80 or less for the rank)... however on said remake you have to enable the rule that mades EUR Extreme in Snake Eater special (Game Over if discovered), otherwise you can only get up to Fox rank on Extreme like if you're playing on Hard.
@@PerfectStealth Of course, I'm taking my time, especially with Sons of Liberty due to it's harsh save limits being 10 times less than MGS1+Twin Snakes, not to mention that when I started, sometimes the trophies would not pop out for some glitchy reason (that got fixed with the updates, as I'm playing the Ps4 release... which was the one with that bug, and that also happened to affect Snake Eater, forcing me to restart the entire run as the update notes said that is better to do a new game or NG+ run to make sure the trophies pop out when the conditions are met).
I knew about that part in the cell shoot out. Thanks to a RUclipsr named Centerstrain1. 5:44- Sometimes you might accidentally throw this soldier randomly over the handrails.
In the four horsemen and lift guard rush. U can take one enemy as a shield and the others will shoot him for you in both scenarios(It will take some time if the guards dont wanna shoot their buddy but most of the time it works). But the last enemy u still gotta kill. In mgs3 and onwards shooting barrels that explode enemies, does not count as kills but does it in mgs1?
Wrong video but it’s current so I’ll ask here: what the heck am I doing wrong in MGS2? I keep trying to do a non lethal run while collecting dog tags. And at the end of the game I somehow I killed 3 ppl? I only used the M9 tranq and pgs-t. Any idea where I’m going wrong? I think maybe the tengu fight part with snake and all the soldiers before the rays i was using the sword but had it on blue? Can that weapon still kill? cuz it must’ve been then where I killed 3 ppl by accident I just don’t know how? Any tips?
Are you calling Snake for backup during the Twilight Sniping section? If so, any kills he gets are added onto your final score. Also, even if your turn your HF Blade to it’s blue or non-lethal setting - if you stab enemies (by clicking in the right stick) it counts as a kill since they bleed out.
@@PerfectStealth ah I think that’s where I went wrong, stabbing with the HF blade. That must be it. Damn gotta try again. And no I typically don’t call snake in to help in that part, just use the pgs-t for enemies and the regular psg for the ciphers
@@PerfectStealth Kills that snake does do not count towards your kill count in the sniping section. I just did a big boss run on mgs2 and i let snake kill 1 guard for me and many cyphers.
My suspicion is that mgs4 is something they want to do, but that will require the most work to get running. I think Vol1 was a test to see how well they would sell. And if that’s true than they likely only just started the work

You don't need to kill the guard at the blast furnace. You can sneak past him.
The outline for the kills was just an outline. Doesn’t mean you have to kill everything on that list.
Shooting the crane with the stinger makes it collapse and knocks him unconscious
@@PerfectStealth Also irrc boss kills don't count, however the 2 gunners you have to kill during the M1 tank battle count
@@noahcennerilli7975Also the Hind D pilot

Im glad you had a good time hunting for those elite ranks. Do you plan on trying MGS2 and MGS3 as well?

Interesting about the extra kills, guess I got lucky when I got Big Boss rank in the PS2 collection.
Or your lying
@@Tacodip420 Why would I be lying?
1:13 - you may attempt to kill only 1 guy of the 3 in the first wave and chokehold 2 others and use them as a meatshield

You should update us with the Master Collection patches updates news!! (Video tip)
Yea I been there lmao. But I just beat the games butt the next day
I failed big boss once because I was killing dogs in the caves. I assumed they didn’t count 😢
The game looks so much better now with bilinear filtering disabled

I think if Vol. 2 releases this year, they’ll have to announce it soon. No later than spring time.

what about the 3 guards after the rope scene?
Those can be completely skipped using the Boba Skip or by running past them using stun grenades. No need to kill them.
