I'm finally at this level. For six years, I've played Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker from the beginning until I got stuck on the level with the tank battle. 😀
Damn, i remember the first time i fought this boss... it was so damn hard and took me so long to complete. One of my favorite video game bosses of all time tbh, Also loved Pupa and Chrysalis, but NOTHING beat the absolute INSANITY of Cocoon, you can literally go underneath the tank, i'm pretty sure i remember doing that to heal at one point so i wouldn't get hit by Mortars or Missiles from behind cover. What a legendary Boss Battle, especially if you don't cheese it!
@@Shino-lr2wi damn, that's awesome. Yeah, i'm much better on a Controller than i am on KnB as well, i wonder how many people never got to play Peace Walker because it was originally only on PSP and never released on it's own, for other Consoles... excluding the PS Vita of course, because that's also a handheld. I've always been a big fan of handhelds and a big fan of Sony's games and systems, i really wish we'd get another Portable PlayStation System to go up against the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. I know Sony is capable because the PSP sold incredibly well and was loved by many, myself included and the PS Vita was ahead of it's time, but sold poorly due to high pricing because Sony thinks everyone's a millionaire lol, i love the Vita tho and some of it's exclusives? Just incredible. If you never played the Vita but are a fan of Sony's first party games and stuff and if there's an emulator for PS Vita, i'd assume there might be, then try out Wipeout 2048, LittleBigPlanet Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Killzone: Mercenary and there's probably so many more i could list here but i have to get my food out of the oven. Anyways, have a nice day, enjoy one of my personal favorite games and maybe try some of those Vita ones out too, always been a big fan of LBP and Uncharted personally.
@@DeadSpacedOut Yep, this is my first MGS game I've played as I was quite young when the psp was released. And thanks for the recommendations I've actually been looking for some more games. I dont know if you've played the warriors at all but its another one I played recently on the emulator. Have a great day
@@Shino-lr2wi Thanks, i was having a great day until i realized my PlayStation Plus subscription expired lol. But yeah, i never played The Warriors, i don't think, and even tho i have a PC, i don't really emulate because i prefer to play games on the platform they were made for, but in the case of a PS2 game, i would emulate it and i know for PS3 games, the PS3 is kinda slow as shit so it would still be better to emulate those games on PC as well, but i just don't emulate games personally, thought about it tho and you're welcome for the recommendations, you have a great day yourself and remember to blend in with your surroundings at about 90% lol, they basically are blind if you are 90% or more blended in i think, maybe that was MGS3 tho, i haven't played those games in... maybe 8 years or something. EDIT: I was also pretty young when the PSP came out i believe, my dad got one a few years after it came out and i played it a little and then when he got a PS3, he gave it to me and so i bought more games for it. So i used it for like 4 years before the PS Vita/PS4 came out i think lol, i was late to the party
This is by far the easiest boss out of all four main bosses. just hide behind the wall at top of ladder and move between two points when missile targeting is complete. wall cannot be penetrated or broken by weapons ;)
@@fernandojimenez5206 If I can recall, I think I went into full prone behind the wall or just crouch when the main cannon is fired. Make sure you are not right next or too close to the wall otherwise the cocoon may actually damage you
@@SolidusCurncer Been so long ago since I wrote that comment. However... As I recall, I was able to get to the Cocoon without targeting the vents at all.
Not really, I think he’s right I honestly wasted more time and life under there. Destroying the vents helps a little bit, but not enough unless you’ve already dealt damage to other parts like turrets.
This tank just make me laugh a lot it's like Huey hear about the giant nzi tank the rat and he was like. -Yeah it's a good idea i'm going to borrow the idea wnd add a chainsaw for infantry
+jackmanslightpepper Yeah they make it act confused but only when it's not already firing. Basically just jams it up for a bit. Thing about this battle is it doesn't matter where you hit it. So I'm wondering why all the guides on gamefaqs have people saying stuff like take out this cannon first then that one. None of that matters.

recently just started playing it, lots of fun despite me barely being able to aim since I'm playing it on a psp emulator.

Reminded me of fighting the Marlwolf in Megaman Legends (Megaman 64)...
Bro you made this mission look easy , do you know how many times I failed this mission. I still can’t beat this mission.
Feels like a Boss i forgot the name of in PSO2
Yeah...what is all the crap about the vents?!? Seems like if you try going for them, you just loose time and life.
They open the way to go on the cocoon

I feel the hardest boss I have ever faced in this game is Chrysalis. Cocoon and Pupa are easy
Idk man it was pretty easy, i just keep running around praying that my FIM missile didn't hit walls and kidnappers to fuck off
EASY?!
really? i find chrysalis the easiest one for me
