@@TheKrazyKoala Not specifically in Yemen, but I've watched documentaries where some communities living along fog-covered coasts, erect frames with fine mesh nets. The moisture will condense on the fibres and trickle down to a collection trough below the frame. Voila! Free water.. 😉

Love and positivity is the real soul and heart of living, but it completely disregards all actual dangers and imperfections of life. I think both have their own uses and places in life. Both have their inherent pros and cons. So it's all about Balance, and having the very best of both optimism and pessimism, used together as one to face life itself. Rather than choosing either one and then completely disregarding the other, like what most people on earth may end up doing, since our brains are inherently designed to pick sides and reject all opposites, rather than blend and embrace all opposites. I have always been a "traveler", I want to see the "ordinary" life of that country or city, which is the real life. Also, as much as possible I want my daily life, where I choose to live and work, to be an adventure in itself, not wait and then experience adventure for a few weeks, as valuable as that is, life really is too precious to waste waiting for that vacation a few times a year. Generally, for me at least, that's living in a large progressive city, and doing something creative in my work. And I do agree you have to be a little brave and take some risks in going abroad, or you might not do it at all.
@@TheKrazyKoala nowhere. I need to be near my aging parents to help them. I'm a bit like a caregiver. But living in the bay area in previous years has been a great adventure and, again, if you can make your actual year round life an adventure, then that's maybe even more valuable than travel.

I always feel like an anthropologist when travelling, sitting back and watching the locals go about their lives, soaking it all in, all on my own time with no deadlines or meetings to worry about. Hoping to start again this year.

One question. Sooner or later you will grow old and need people to help you. Paying someone to clean up your poo is not the same. I took care of my mother for fifteen years. You are still young enough to take care of yourself. What will happen if you can't because of age OR accident or illness. I too am single. I know it's good to be without responsibility.

For me personally, I would never want to go anyplace that lacked basic Western amenities like clean running water, flush toilets and reasonably modern medical care. They would also need to have English spoken as at least a common second language. < just because I speak very little else >. I also would stay away from any place where the locals measure the energy efficiency of their transportation system in KM per bale of hay. :)

I did watch two in a row . I am recovering from Covid. One year ago to the day I got it again. I was able this time to get Covid pill so I was only really sick for one day . I’m doing great now . I love your videos and you do such a great job . I admire you so .

I have been very fortunate last time and this . I’m very happy that you have been able to travel. Your videos are amazing ! Stay safe ! I’ve gotten very close to you thru your videos. Visiting an actual war zone. You're really some sort of female James Bond, aren't you? 😄I love walking around with just my camera when travelling as well, going whereever I feel like. I always feel like an anthropologist when travelling, sitting back and watching the locals go about their lives, soaking it all in, all on my own time with no deadlines or meetings to worry about. Hoping to start again this year.

For me personally, I would never want to go anyplace that lacked basic Western amenities like clean running water, flush toilets and reasonably modern medical care. They would also need to have English spoken as at least a common second language. < just because I speak very little else >. I also would stay away from any place where the locals measure the energy efficiency of their transportation system in KM per bale of hay. :)
