My parents were very strict and trusted them more than anyone! I KNOW that peaceful and even JOYful coexistence is possible! ..but now i hear more and more moderate Arabs standing up for peace and decrying radical Islam....I also listen to Asra Nomani ...she is a moderate Muslim who talks about her childood in an enlightened Muslim home that emphasised love and righteousness.

In 1992 I was in the USAF. My best friend, Richard Mathews was a black Baptist on the path to conversion to Islam. I wanted to make sure he wasn't being radicalized (we both worked with nukes and had high security clearances), so I met with his imam and had tea and one of the best theological discussions ever. He respected my beliefs and I his. Greg really helped me in my first true steps of teshuva and even paid my rent for my first month out of the service. We saw clearly the parallels in our faiths and encouraged each other in our religious observances. Less than a year later I was in yeshiva in Morristown. We can live in harmony. Lastly when the war happened in Israel she started to hate me and everyone of us… she insisted her husband told her about the occupation 😅 i thought all of them was same, but I see difference with Mr. Lui and it’s so loving to listen about peace and love.
