@@TheKrazyKoala I read an article sometime ago which said that while travelling in Latin America, never stop to render help to an accident victim in a hit-and-run case. Hi Koala, We in Singapore feel so sorry this happened to you. Regardless where we are just need to be careful in our surround. Hope you will get over this soon take care.
Oh no 😢 so sorry to hear that. Me too I understand your feeling, because even I have been very careful all my life and being street smart, unfortunately I also got scammed in Singapore 😓
@ I got scammed from a friend impersonation scam 😭😔. I am too naive and thought Singapore is safe but now I feel that every where and every corner of the world. We are encountering unseen and unexpected theft and scammers thru online and in person. Because the phone scammers have utilised getting local Singapore phone number and creating online digital bank account to scam. That’s how I know the trend now 😔
I know what has happened to you now. That feeling, you will have some impact to your mental health too. Just the thought of why does this happening to me and why didn’t I be more aware and careful. This make me question myself, is this because I am too naive and kind? Somehow, I try not to give these scammers and bad guys to take control of my mental health and my insecurities. My encouragement and cheer for you, be strong 💪🏻 keep fighting, be kind and be more careful. Everyone will say take it as a lesson but this saying seems too harsh. So I will say, take it as a life experience ❤️

Only unlock the card if you are making a purchase. Lock it after the purchase. Also never put everything in one bag; just like investment you need to diversify! Good luck!
It’s really traumatizing. It happened to me in JB. After pumping petrol, I went forward to the cashier to pay. Meanwhile a thief next to my car opened the driver side door, grab my wife’s handbag and rode away in his motorcycle. My wife lost her handphone, our passports, house keys, $1200. She never carry a handbag for traveling ever since. She was traumatized for 6 months and I have to change my main door Chubb locks. Get a jacket with multiple zip pockets and keep your passport/ credit cards/ driving license, handphone etc. Handbag is a huge risk.
awww wow.... i feel exactly the same as your wife!! i totally understand that! . thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
Hi KK. I am so sorry that this had to happen to you. I also lost my handphone when it was stolen after I just in a moment of forgetfulness left it unattended for like 30s. Although it was recovered but the info and photos inside was all gone as the thief had reset the hp to use it. So I can understand your pain. But I am relieved that you listened to your friend and did not confront the thieves. Does not matter whether you are alone or with your friend or even with 10 big muscled males. What if they had guns? Or worst what if they captured you and then did something else to you? So although you lost the footage in the stolen camera (it sucks and I feel you) but its the biggest blessings that you are safe and sound. That's the most important. You traveled 193 countries alone in many cases and it only happened to you now after so long. It would probably happened to someone else way before they even reached 100 countries. So you are indeed a wise and alert girl. Do not lose confidence in yourself and hope you finished your dream soon. Take care!
ya... agree.. sorry for your loss too. it happened recently? thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
@TheKrazyKoala It was 2 years ago so everything is cool now. Don't worry, after some time this incident will only be a memory to make you a stronger person. Looking forward to your update on this! And will definitely share your videos to my friends.
Im so sorry to hear that, hope you are now in a better mood. But I'm also glad that you didn't go after those ppl. Most importantly relieve that you are now safe! Pls take great care🫰🏻.

Never trust anyone !!! Police never help too ! Always keep valuables with you .... Sorry it happened to you its aweful experience. Also stay clear of bad areas esp in Cities new to you. Count yourself lucky as you are not harmed as some countries do have violent gangs. Your items can be replaced, but your life cant be replaced. Thank God you are Safe !
I’m a Sgporean. I’m impressed with what we’ve achieved as a nation but I will not advise you to think you can leave your valuables anywhere unattended just bc we are mostly quite safe. Don’t expect 100% honesty. There will be troublemakers. You don’t want to be fleeced by the 1% ! So sorry for your loss.
Thanks for sharing, it is very troublesome and time consuming reporting lost of personal stuffs overseas.. Hope it will not deter you from exploring the world.
Sorry to hear about your scam. Just glad you were not harmed. It was dangerous for you to try to track down your bag. Learn from this experience...have a dummy bag with limited money in it. Keep you credit cards and larger currency and passport om your body. If you are going to track your stolen items, make sure the police go with you or hire private security people to help you recover your stolen items.
If you're going to confront the criminal, you best do it with at least 1 male friend. You could've ended up losing your life. I hope you're able to get your credit card company to reimburse you the money lost and perhaps if you have some sort of insurance for the loss of your belongings you could claim the money back.
@@TheKrazyKoala I will. Please remember, do not confront the thief alone. As a woman you are advice to definitely seek a larger group of friends to accompany you if confrontation is your desire. If the thieves were desperate and daring enough to scheme all that just to get to your bag, we can assume that they are capable of doing worse when cornered. Grab a group of friends and maybe camp out their house to record their movements, then hand the footage to the authorities and hope they do the work for you!
@@TheKrazyKoala Do you have photos of the criminals? Check your car's blackbox? Hand those over to the police and perhaps that could convince them to raid the thieves house?
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
@@TheKrazyKoala it's a scam. They are trying to get people to restore the wallet and take the money but those that try are going to get scammed. KK please remove the original comment if you can.
I am down when reading your title, it is sad for such unexpected reality to happen. I pray for your safety as well as the ability to overcome your trauma though would likely take longer time. It is fortunate you did not step into the criminal’s area especially not armed, for your safety sake. I would sincerely hope you protect yourself, KK🙏🏽🙇♀️ Do stay away from potential unsafe and unfamiliar places for a while. Please Take Care❤
1:30, It happens sometimes, even though they are helping you, they try to scam you and charge for money, which is not good and annoying, even though you avoid the scam and hassle in Paris, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Egypt and Morocco.
Yes. Even at US airport, they try to steal some things in my bag, it happens sometimes, even though they are helping or telling you to take some things out. Yeah that's not good, even though the staff are helping you, just be careful.
Why not carry a backpack so if you step out the backpack goes on your back? Back in October I lost my wallet with my money, credit cards. health insurance ID, driver license at the airport at JFK coming off Cathay Pacific. Lost it in the restroom area. Reported it to the airlines. A US border patrol officer called my phone and left a message they found my wallet. Cathay Pacific also sent me an email to tell me where to pick up my wallet. First time this happened to me. Hopefully it never happens again. Luckily for me I had an extra credit card, American Express, in the leather case with my passport. I was able to use that card to get a taxi to go home. If not for that I would have had to either ask the police to let me in or jump in to the subway with my luggage to get home. So hearing your story brings back anxieties of what happened to me and my lost wallet. You can always drive on a flat tire to a gas station. Or if you are using a rental car you notify the company and they will come change the tire. A rental car I had in Los Angeles the red engine light came on show it was overheating. I called the rental company and they sent a flatbed truck with another car they delivered to me and took away the car with the red light sensor.
that's very lucky for you to get back your wallet!! thank god! that day was sunday, so no one picked up the call. both of my frd and i don't have a working phone to call overseas number. it's not my car. i've never rented a car. i don't know how to deal with car unforutnately. i was just helping my friend.... but thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
Sorry to hear about this. Sorry to ask but i couldn't get how they snatched the bag. When you said you put down the bag means you put it down on the ground while you helping out your friend with flat tyre? Or you put it down inside the car?
Sorry to hear that. It must have been very traumatic, but you must also have felt so angry that people could do something like that. Singaporeans live a a bubble and this story is a good warning to all who travel that the world out there is not like Singapore.

HELLO MISS KOALA, DOES NOT MATTER WHAT HAPPEN SAFETY FIRST, CALL THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND CANCEL THE ACCOUNT. I AM SORRY FOR YOUR DISTRESS, CONSIDER YOURSELF OVER SPENDS, PLEASE BE SAFE AND STAY STRONG. 🙏🙏🙏 💪💪👊👊
Money is a material stuff, we can earn it back but life is more importane. I am glad you are safe and sound. Those scammers think that they can get away with their sins, they are the most foolish souls in the universe because they will have to pay back in their next incanation, it is called Karma and it is not a punishment. It is a natural Divine law to make them experience the samething they done to others. A Singaporean was scammed by the African scammers and he went to Africa to confront them but never returned. 🙏🙏🙏
Sorry to hear about the mishap. Life goes on although it’s hard to forget when you have been so careful all this while in life. Please let us know how we can help you.
You may want to apply credit cards that can be locked via mobile app. Travel light with minimum valuables. SLR or mirrorless camera will be quite challenging in terms of mobility, why not use a mobile phone with great camera with great video recording. Even traveling Japan, has to be very vigilant right now especially after the pandemic.
Sorry for your loss, well perhaps, it is a small price to learn a good lesson from this. Never trust anyone,. That being said. Singaporeans also have their fair share of such experiences when they travel to Malaysia too. They will signal to tell you that you have a flat and naturally you will stop your car and go down to check. The different experiences are the person that signals or tells you that you have a flat wouldn't help you, but they will rob you there and then. Many drivers have met with experience when they drive in Malaysia. But we know, no matter what never stop your car or get out of your car. You just continue driving with or without a flat, until you come to a safe place to seek help. The experience is the same as what you will encounter in Chile no different.
it is a small price, not big monetary loss. but big mental and hassel traumas :(. that rental car thing is very new to me as i've never rented a car myself. good learning. thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
When you are at your worst moments in life and when something bad happens, always think of what could have been worse. You or your friend could have been kidnapped for ransom, or physically injured requiring medical evacuation, which is very expensive. Then you can finally say "Well luckily, that didn't happened", and it will help you heal. I teach people to accept loss and defeat (in sports and/or business deals), "You win some you lose some, that's life". Think of the countries and travels that you have visited and nothing bad happened. Good mental defence mechanism to help us get over disappointment and avoid going down the depressive, self recriminative path. Try it.
I used to travel a lot to Europe and Asia. I never leave anything valuable (unless it's too bulky) in a bag...always on me. Credit cards, cash, passport, etc...Sorry you got robbed, but you are taking chances if you keep them in a bag regardless of how careful you are.
@TheKrazyKoala well...not quite always as this happened. Anything you carry as a tourist makes you a target as it's common for tourists to keep valuables in their bags...especially Americans. Risks vs reward...I always feared losing money, passport when abroad.
I would just let it go and call it a bad day man. If you look at it from another perspective, many things could've gone wrong. If you still have that bag on yourself. They could hurt you for the bag. it's not worthy at all. And you should NEVER goes to the criminal home without any police. What negotiation? think of it in the criminal point of view. This person who I just stole from knows my house and my identity, what do you think will happen???Not to mention if those are some gangster or some cartel. I don't even want to imagine. You are so LUCKY, you did not knock on that door. NOTHING in your possession is worth more than your life man.
Don't blame yourself. It could have happened to anyone. Just go back and sort out the bank account and credit cards. You did well, 192 countries is good. Out of 190 times, you only make 1 mistake and everyone makes mistakes. Your years of experience is still valuable, also it was a small lost. It wasn't 1000's of dollars. It could have been much worse. The odds of getting your camera, sd and cards stolen again is very slim imo.
Forget about it. Just take it as a good lesson learned. Those police may be in cahoots with them or under their tab. Things lost could be bought again.
true!! that's all we can do know..... please help me share this video as much as possible to your friends and social media, so we can expose this criminal!
Sorry this happened to you. Curious where you are from? 250K sounds like California based than Singapore. I am currently traveling several months as well through Asia. Maybe you like to connect and maybe we can collab with trips. I can drop by email and we can go from there.

2:12, That's not a car repair shop. 2:32 and 7:05, It doesn't say car repair shop on google map. 6:03 and 6:12, Same in Sao Paulo, Brazil and even Spain, even the police themself, they couldn't do anything even though his or her thing is stolen and gun point, that sucks because in the US, the police help you to find the suspect that is stolen and it's helpful, but not in some countries like Spain and Brazil unfortunately.
i think people should not go to dangerous countries. There are so many safe countries to go to why pick a country where people are known to do corrupt things.
Sorry to hear that. Be very careful when traveling to other countries. Singapore is very safe, but recently some people from other countries coming in to steal things! Some countries are just full of thieves. They have been operating for a long long time, and therefore very skillful in stealing or cheating. I have experienced jewelry scam in Bangkok, burglary in Italy, robbery in Amsterdam.
@@TheKrazyKoala lately not so with flux of some foreign tourists with free visa opening... I was lately stolen a bag with my wallet/credit card and IC inside, 1st time in more than 20 years...

i only have 2 CC in total..... that's all i have ....
Be safe for your trip💙🌹
thank you!!
I am really sorry for your lost. I hope everything will get resolved soon.
thank you for your prayers 🙏
Well the bright side is you have a very very good story and content. Always make a backup of your precious memories on the cloud.
well. that's see if this video can make up for it!
Im so sorry to hear that, hope you are now in a better mood. But I'm also glad that you didn't go after those ppl. Most importantly relieve that you are now safe! Pls take great care🫰🏻.
thanks so much!!! 🙏
Sorry for the trauma you have been through. Praying that you will heal from this episode.
thank you so much Joanne!
First time to your channel. I'm sorry for your lost.

JUST CONSIDER THIS AN UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE THAT YOU ENCOUNTER, WRONG TIME AND WRONG PLACE. LIFE GOES ON. 👊👊🙏
you're right, ahyap!!
So sorry his happened to you, but glad you are safe and sound.
thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
Sorry to hear this. Hope you’re feeling better.
thanks a lot!!
Gee, I really feel for you. As a SGrean, I too have that complacent habit. One wrong move and it's curtain. Hope you get over this trauma.
thank you for your empathy!!
Thank God you are Safe !
i agree!! thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
SG is amazing!!! nowhere is like SG!!
Thanks for sharing, it is very troublesome and time consuming reporting lost of personal stuffs overseas.. Hope it will not deter you from exploring the world.
I'm so sorry! I hope everything goes well for you.
thanks so much!!
Sorry to hear about your scam. Just glad you were not harmed. It was dangerous for you to try to track down your bag. Learn from this experience...have a dummy bag with limited money in it. Keep you credit cards and larger currency and passport om your body. If you are going to track your stolen items, make sure the police go with you or hire private security people to help you recover your stolen items.
hi Matt. thank you! i always do, this is the first time my bag is not with me
If you're going to confront the criminal, you best do it with at least 1 male friend. You could've ended up losing your life. I hope you're able to get your credit card company to reimburse you the money lost and perhaps if you have some sort of insurance for the loss of your belongings you could claim the money back.
thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated! please share my video to expose this criminal too!
@@TheKrazyKoala Yes if you have photos of the criminals, that should increase the chances of getting back at the thieves!
So very sorry to hear of your loss. Please take care. You are so pretty. Relatively speaking , Singapore is still safer. Be on your guard overseas
of course SG is the safest in the world !!!
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
why do you trust me to help you with your financial advice? lol
@@TheKrazyKoala it's a scam. They are trying to get people to restore the wallet and take the money but those that try are going to get scammed. KK please remove the original comment if you can.
I am down when reading your title, it is sad for such unexpected reality to happen. I pray for your safety as well as the ability
to overcome your trauma though would likely take longer time. It is fortunate you did not step into the criminal’s area especially not armed, for your safety sake. I would sincerely hope you protect yourself, KK🙏🏽🙇♀️ Do stay away from potential unsafe and unfamiliar places for a while. Please Take Care❤
awwwww sorry for letting you down. thank you!!! i will make a follow up video to keep you guys updated!
1:30, It happens sometimes, even though they are helping you, they try to scam you and charge for money, which is not good and annoying, even though you avoid the scam and hassle in Paris, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Egypt and Morocco.
ya i know people trying to charge you after helping you. but this is totally stealing!
Or you put it down inside the car?
inside the car. but does it matter if it's already stolen?
Sorry to hear that. It must have been very traumatic, but you must also have felt so angry that people could do something like that. Singaporeans live a a bubble and this story is a good warning to all who travel that the world out there is not like Singapore.
:((((( 😢 yes singaporeans are really in a bubble. hope it helps!!
Omg… hope u recover and forget about it fast. Thanks for sharing. Come back quick. Take care.

Fell for the old flat tire scam in South America. There are many versions of this scam in South America!

HELLO MISS KOALA, DOES NOT MATTER WHAT HAPPEN SAFETY FIRST, CALL THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND CANCEL THE ACCOUNT. I AM SORRY FOR YOUR DISTRESS,
CONSIDER YOURSELF OVER SPENDS, PLEASE BE SAFE AND STAY STRONG. 🙏🙏🙏 💪💪👊👊
yes ahyap! alll done..... i said it in the video.....
So sorry to hear that.

i totally agree with you. money is not the biggest deal. i hope they have their karma!
Gotta take an active role against those losers. Change your credit card numbers, etc...

U have a gps in your phone to track the scammer house? The police cant raid the scammer house?
my technology is stated in the video
You may want to apply credit cards that can be locked via mobile app. Travel light with minimum valuables. SLR or mirrorless camera will be quite challenging in terms of mobility, why not use a mobile phone with great camera with great video recording.
Even traveling Japan, has to be very vigilant right now especially after the pandemic.
i have 3 cameras for different kinds of shooting... it's not easy to be a youtuber...

Try it.
totally agree with you. that's what i think and talked to God and universe at night.
I used to travel a lot to Europe and Asia. I never leave anything valuable (unless it's too bulky) in a bag...always on me. Credit cards, cash, passport, etc...Sorry you got robbed, but you are taking chances if you keep them in a bag regardless of how careful you are.
ya... but my bag is always on me, even when i go to bathroom or do anything. 24/7
@TheKrazyKoala well...not quite always as this happened. Anything you carry as a tourist makes you a target as it's common for tourists to keep valuables in their bags...especially Americans. Risks vs reward...I always feared losing money, passport when abroad.
You couldnt lock your valuables in the trunk of the car?
i couldn't... cuz it's not my car. i don't have the key. my friend is holding it
I would just let it go and call it a bad day man. NOTHING in your possession is worth more than your life man.
ya what else can we do.... let's all be safe and blessed.
Whatever you do anything, the safety must keep first.
thank you so much!!
Safety first. Please just claim insurance. Live to travel another day. God bless.
ya. they don't cover. i checked
One of the downside when visiting less safe countries destination
it's actually the most developed country in south america....
@@TheKrazyKoala the whole world is becoming more complicated and unsafe...
The odds of getting your camera, sd and cards stolen again is very slim imo.
thank you for your courage. i should make a follow up video to keep you all updated 🙏

great practice!!
This is very smart!
2:12, That's not a car repair shop. 2:32 and 7:05, It doesn't say car repair shop on google map. 6:03 and 6:12, Same in Sao Paulo, Brazil and even Spain, even the police themself, they couldn't do anything even though his or her thing is stolen and gun point, that sucks because in the US, the police help you to find the suspect that is stolen and it's helpful, but not in some countries like Spain and Brazil unfortunately.
ya totally sucks
Also, I heard that when I visit Mexico for the 1st time soon, sometimes they might scam and hassle, so I have to be careful and not go out at night.
i think people should not go to dangerous countries. There are so many safe countries to go to why pick a country where people are known to do corrupt things.
Actually Chile is very safe
Please visit Asia like Vietnam ,Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia & Lao is the best choice ok wish you safe journey & travel ok😢😢😢😢😢
ya i was in Vietnam ,Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia & Lao last month before south america

Sorry to hear that. Be very careful when traveling to other countries.
Singapore is very safe, but recently some people from other countries coming in to steal things!
Some countries are just full of thieves. They have been operating for a long long time, and therefore very skillful in stealing or cheating.
I have experienced jewelry scam in Bangkok, burglary in Italy, robbery in Amsterdam.
singapore is totally heaven!
