Sorry about the spelling of Wildtrak at the start of the video - IT'S LITERALLY WRITTEN ON THE SCREEN 😂 - Sean is now living peacefully at the bottom of the river crossing we used at the end of the video.
The road noise test is fantastic, and it proves how this channel listens and incorporates feedback - just like the popular soft roader off road capability test. Keep em coming !
This is my favorite car review video. I love your format, you give me so much information and so much detail and I'm so engaged throughout. I love the cruise control test, love the reverse test and I love the outside B - roll footage and how well it is synced. Keep innovating and introducing more stuff and you honestly have the best off-road segment in the industry. I would recommend a night time drive to teat out the lights, the ambient lighting and the interior usability at night. I would also recommend you get some copyright free music to test out the audio system cause I believe we are able to discern the difference from one car to another.
First time I've seen a reverse speed test, very interesting. Fun fact: the Falcon XR6T had a max reverse speed of 80km/h. Fun times doing that on the HWP advanced driving course :)
My VW amarok the passengers need seatbelts in reverse if you floor it from a standing start, its limited to about 45km/h, not fast enough to spin the front a full 180 deg around unless to road is wet and slippery
Awesome video. Really liked the road noise test. I think that’s a great element of your reviews to keep. The windows down In the rear was a new one as-well which is handy. Ford really have made the hilux look ancient and outdated again.
Hey mate, thank you so much for your amazing reviews. Just got my Wildtrack in Luxe yellow and I’m over the moon. This is my first Ute ever and honestly I’m enjoying every bit of it. Opted for 4 cylinders and honestly no issues, a decent engine and drives beautifully on highway and in town (knowing Canberra is not really ‘urban’. Had to wait 6 months for mine; would have been another 9-12 months for a V6, which is another factor behind my choice of a 4 cylinders. As you say in your review, the engine is very very good. Highly recommended. Cheers, Marwan
At 8:20 you mentioned that the entire range came with an integrated brake controller, but it’s worth mentioning that it’s only standard on the Wildtrak and Raptor variants and optional on all the other trim levels.
Great review as always Paul. Little concerned about the build quality, will give it a couple of years before I pursue a wildtrack 3.0. That said, I’ve had nothing but problems with my ‘21 2.8 manual Hilux…
@@khoaluu1 less than 10k km in and I’ve had a faulty reverse camera changed twice which also seems to have shorted the deck but they have yet to address that. Also had an oil leak which they claim is the intercooler pipe. It’s my first Toyota and will be my last.
Paul, brilliant test and I like the new tests added. I don't know if I missed it but I did not hear it's load capacity on the tray. When you said "I will see when my raptor arrives." lol, I was like yeah man, you are the top dog, affording a new car in these bad economies is a blessing, you should enjoy it.
I've been hanging out for your review and it didn't disappoint! Packed full of information and looked like you had alot of fun. I've ordered a Raptor aswell so am really keen to see your review on that!
Loved this review format and the inclusions. When you get to test the Next Gen Everest like this, can you please include a demo / test of how the park assist works? Also would love more inclusion in these segments on safety ie airbags etc, suitability for child seats / passengers etc. Thanks for these thorough reviews, has made pandemic therapy shopping expensive but awesome 😂
Impressive with all these tech and styling and the PRICE. Standout for me is front grill styling and driver screen. Really looking forward for the Everest !!!!
Paul you are great. I really love watching your reviews especially this one. Sincerely speaking I watch this at a minimum of 3 times per day. I really love this car. I also wonder why you don't test the car horns. It could be interesting.
Thanks for the great Driver Aids section of the review! Really like the focus on testing the lane-centering capabilities of today's cars. Glad the Ranger has it included-- looking forward to seeing these arrive sometime in 2023 here in N. America!
Great comment, some respect for what is clearly a well thought out design. A long way ahead of the competition and deserves some accolades for their efforts
I've done 110,000km on my 2018 Ranger Raptor and the little 2.0 bi-turbo has been a solid little thing!!! Only a cracked exhaust manifold that's just occurred and is being fixed presently... I drive the absolute wheels off it so the heat cycling and a few big water splashes may have finally killed it but I really can't fault the 2.0 for what it has been through
My 2021 Wildtrack has the 360 lighting you've mentioned in this video. I love the wing mirror lighting at night. Makes a huge difference with getting in and out of the car in the paddocks.
Great review! One thing I'd love to see in these tests, is how it handles an offroad cross-axle situation, with the associated wheel articulation. It's possibly a test better suited to a dedicated offroad/4wd review, but it is a very common obstacle, out on a good beach access or campsite track :
Aaah at last, the review I was waiting for 🕺🏾. My best detailed reviewer Paul, I’m always looking forward for your reviews. You deserve more than 1M Subscriptions 🙌🏾. Much love from South Africa.

Hi Paul, for all us caravan owners would it be possible to do tow test on the dual cab tests to see how these new systems work? Love your work keep it up mate.
Guys this channel is absolutely ridiculously incredible. What a amazing and informative video. Well done. Keep up the great work. This channel needs more subs.
Of all the new Ranger reviews in the last week, this is by far the best. On so many levels. Enthusiastic as always Paul, thank you. I've received a delivery date of Aug 20th for my black Wildtrak V6 and watching you review just makes me grin a little wider, fist pump and take a deep breath of satisfaction. Looking forward to tuning into more reviews from you.
Thank you for the much detailed review of this truck. I am now definitely going to my local Ford dealer to ask about the Raptor. It has everything I need and the guys from Ford have thought about every little stuff you might need. Great car, great review. Thanks Paul!
We’re all mostly smart phone, tablet, computer literate, so it’s about time tech is being updated in this space. And wether people are in the market for this vehicle or not, I hope to see more innovation from the other car makers. Innovation causes competition for the $$.
Another great great car review from CarExpert...this channel should at least have 1 million subscriber..detail videos showing absolute everything..keep it up 🤘🏻
it just feels so much refined and all the detailing little features makes it so user friendly, plus v6 is a bonus. As a 2022 hilux user, i would say the new ranger is way ahead than any other opponents. Very nice truck.
An awesome review Paul & team. You had me convinced to switch over my 2020 Amarok V6 580, went out a test drove one at a local dealership in SE Melb. If I hadn’t just spend a small fortune on the Rok adding accessories, one would have been on order. Morel of the story is if you share this review, with your dad and tell him how great it drove…he’ll then ring you up and tell you he picks up his new ranger on Monday. 🥹 Making you jealous!!
Hi Paul love your work and the ranger. @3:40 , my 2014 D40 Nissan Navara ST has excellent puddle lights under the mirrors that you may not have seen it before.
Excellent review! The thoroughness is appreciated. The only thing I would like seeing is a GPS being used for speed tests. The factory speedometer will most likely not be accurate and when you start to compare vehicles it will not be fair giving sly manufacturers an advantage (like on my Hilux which has a 9% difference between GPS and true speed!)
Been waiting for your review! Coz i know it’ll be the most detailed and comprehensive review. Ford Ranger will be launched later today in Malaysia and we are excited 😆
6:12 is it just me or the rear wheels doesn't seem to fit the wheel arch perfectly.. it reminds me of the new Triton spy shots which just look hideous with the extended wheelbase not fitting at all with the body
Just watched this for a second time. By far the best and most comprehensive review I’ve ever seen on a vehicle. You guys are raising the bar. Well done Paul and team 👍
Would love to see a test on the v6 maybe even some towing or weight tests as most of us that have bought the v6 are buying to tow heavy loads (Tradesmen) Cheers Paul 👍🏽👍🏽

Great addition of the cruise control and lane keeping assist segments, they are one of the most important factors in modern vehicles in my opinion, great great addition to the vid
I have a 6 month wait ahead of me for my Wildtrak V6, Thanks for making me want it soo much more! Fantastic video, and im really glad to see how much of a beast Ford have made this over previous Generations and other manufacturers! The wait is gonna be worth it
Love it, great review as always. Those bars on the tub (rails??) above the tonneau cover are awesome. Will definitely increase the utility of the roller cover. It will be interesting to see how many people choose the 4 banger as opposed to the v6

The road noise test is a great idea, its one of the most important metrics I use when buying a vehicle. Great to compare vehicles road noise.
Dynamat will fix road noise issues on most vehicles.
Decibel levels were brilliant. Better than the typical “it has some road noise” most journalists do. Keep it up.
