      @@Elsa-Pearl You’re welcome ☺️ Great question 👌🏾 So yes it can overlap, so I just make sure that I add some water to rinse any areas that were close to where I was shampooing. Also I feel my hair to see if I can hear the sound of shampoo in it and rinse it off.

    What a great idea to add bands at the ends of your hair. To simplify even further you could use small/butterfly clips! And if you're worried about where to place them when it's off wear a band around your wrist in the shower and place the clip there when you take it off.

    Thinking about doing less sections for both of my 12year old twin daughters…who want to shampoo their hair in the shower. I usually will do a comb through conditioner after a clarifying and moisturizing shampoo. I use the black owned/Inashi Naturals hair line and love all their products!! The gentle mint shampoo/Soothing Mint conditioner🔥I follow with a deep conditioner…that I need to do more of but will keep the twists in and rinse the dc out in twists. Lastly, follow up with a leave in and another sealant to air dry. Just trying to avoid all the twisting…untwisting and being in the shower so long. Thx, for the video!

Instead of using plastic wrap-so expensive, I purchase cheap disposable shower caps from China (100 for $2) and use them during deep conditioning. Thanks for the wonderful wash day. For sure you've been using the Ors conditioner for years 😅, I have too but for a while I couldn't find it on the market. I recently move to Europe from the Caribbean and already I've bought it and the bands from your Amazon store 😊. My questions are:
      1. Do you detangle before you wash? I often have my hair in corn rows and when I pull out before I wash it's in crimples.
      2. I have lots of gray hair, I know you don't but at what stage would you dye hair?

    Wow your hair is so beautiful. I am currently on yt looking for ways to properly protect my natural hair after continuin to blow dry my hair for the past 4 years after washing it, I'm starting to feel like my hair is damaged my ends have no curl or definition to them at all and my roots are so frizzy idk what to do. I originally have/had a 4b high porosity hair type which is also as soft as cotton (hence where I went wrong blow drying my hair all that time) and I don't want to cut my hair off I just want it to go back to it original state so I can grow it the right way.

      Thank you! Unfortunately, you can’t repair heat damage, so the only option is to cut it. But if you don’t want to cut it right now, then you can always continue to grow it out until you’ve reached a length your happy with. But in the meantime, just ensure you carry out regular moisturising & protein conditioning treatments to ensure you keep the new growth nice and healthy. Alternatively, you can also wear protective styles from time to time to help you through the process.

      Yes, it’s really grown over the years ☺️ I used the Aunt Jackies Instant Detangling Therapy.

    How often do you wash your hair and moisturizer

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  2 года назад +1

      Every 1-2 weeks and I moisturise roughly every 1-3 days. Just depends on how my hair feels.

    So what if I don't have a dryer? Can I use a shower cap instead?

      Yes you can do that! Anything that helps to create a nice warm environment helps!

    Do you seal in with an oil?

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  2 года назад

      Not so much on washdays, but during the week I’ll mainly seal my ends.

    I want to deep condition for sure but the only thing is that.. I’m confused do you quit conditioning if you deep condition or do you still have to condition your hair

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  Год назад

      You can just use one of them. But I prefer to deep condition, as it’s more intense and better for your hair.

    Your hair is beautiful...you need a professional blow dry and trim all over your hair. That will help with the tangles.❤️🙋🏾‍♀️

    Do you not double cleanse?

    • @HealthyAfroHair
      @HealthyAfroHair  2 года назад +3

      No not really! I’ll only do it if there’s some stubborn build up left in my hair.

      @@HealthyAfroHair hmm interesting. I find that if I don't Double cleanse my scalp will itch after the first week.

      @1409musiclover Ahh…really?! I’m lucky not to have issues with my scalp unless my washday is really overdue.
