Was following your relaxed journey when I got tired of my hair and needed motivation to keep it. I tried to transition to natural but my hair was too thick and it was becoming so stressful. I cut everything off two days ago and I'm ready to start this journey. Yay me 😭❤
The most important thing I've learnt from Seun was that the way you take down your hair is important.... I focused on the install and moisturizing during the protective style then ripped it all out on the take down. Aftering watching that video I've been so much more gentle with how I take care of my hair in general and it has grown so much in one year. So I encourage you all to be gentle and with your hair. Also please finger detangle before washing your hair .... This is sooooo beneficial.
❤️Aw, that makes me so so happy to know that it has helped a lot! Very very true!!! Being gentle really is so important. And fully detangling first after taking down a protective style is key, yes! And for wash and gos I find it best to rinse off the gel coating first and then detangle wet with the conditioner after as in the end of this video!
“Don’t overthink it. Just put it on.” Best advice I’ve heard. I recently did a big chop because i had a lot of heat damage. I really wanted to start wearing my natural hair out but I’m always scared to just slap gel on my hair so I’ve just been doing twists and twist outs because I’m guaranteed a nice style. Thank you for giving me the courage to try out this method.
When you leave your hair some strands stray from the curls and tangle with other curls, sometime the curls themselves tangle around themselves and sometime 2 curls curl around each other, my hair isn't type 4 so I can easily see my curl pattern and see it happening throughout the week while it's happening
I was super skeptical at first.... but I tried it today and my hair is soooo soft and shiny! I am definitely gonna use this method going forward. Also tried a protein treatment as you suggested and it not only feels healthier but stronger too.
My daughter and son has 4c hair and I absolutely love it, their styles last longer and it's just the perfect hair for anything braids, flatiron etc... my other children hair are looser and it takes way more product and styles don't last but I love black peoples hair no matter the texture.
I followed this video and it has made me realize that I've never worked the product properly into my hair & I also never sealed it in correctly. I followed this routine and my hair has never looked better. thank you ( and I'm 28 years old, so you can imagine how I've been struggeling)
Wow, your hair came out great, I love it!! Thanks for sharing! Also, I love the shape/style of your cut. It's almost like a heart. It falls so nicely. I'm growing out my daughter's hair so if I wanted her to have the same cut, what would I tell the hair stylist? Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I'd really appreciate it 🙏
No, it's not a dumb question! My hair is actually cut evenly all the way around, but I just used the gel to make the front look longer while I life the back more shrunken. To get it cut into a similar shape, I'm actually not sure what it is called. Maybe take a screenshot from this video and show the stylist and she'll know how to cut it to match this shape!
Ooooh that fro will look so good with some temp hair paint wax on the ends for the summer. I love to put bright colors on my fro in the summer. Best thing is you can wash it off later 😏💕
Wow!! 😍 I told myself that it’s going to be a while for me to attempt a wash & go again buuuttt I really love this method!! The shape you create is GIVING 💛
I said it! Your natural hair is already thicker and looks nicer than mine. So beautiful! Maybe there's hope for my 5z extra kinky hair in a wash and go!
Thank you!❤️ Lol, I am sure your hair is very beautiful as well! There is no one way hair is supposed to look. Yes, try it!!!!!!! I hope it goes well! If your hair is less dense the process will be a lot easier too!
I find that my hair grows best when I leave it alone, but ive been wanting to try new styles. Ive sat my phone next to me in the mirror and boughts so many products that claim to give you the best wash and go. I like that you said dont overthink it and used one product. It came out really good
If I don’t twist or plait my hair while its wet after shampoo and conditioner it would just become a tangled mess. I don’t have 4C hair, I have 4Z hair!!
I braid up the middle front and middle-middle sections of my hair in 4 large braids to sleep so when I wake up in the morning and loosen then they create a natural mushroom shape with a stretched top section and shrunken back and sides. Beats having to re-gel or use gel at all. I get to wash my hair monthly that way.
Hey i love all your videos since it helped my hair grow so much in such a short period of time .Im khanyi all the way from SA/ pretoria ...and i wanted to say you inspired me to create my own channel ...for back 2 school hairstyles for kids ,hope to see more of you soon🥺🥰🦋‼️‼️‼️
Excessive shedding is usually a sign of a dysfunctional metabolism. Are you currently under stress? Do you sleep enough (6 to 8 hours daily)? Your food intake can impact your hair as well or worse, you might have a health condition that's not noticeable, such as hormonal disorder or vitamin deficiency, and in this case, you need to seek professional help to ensure all your blood levels are intact, not causing your hair to shed this bad
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 “For God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 That’s how much he loves us that he sacrificed his own Son so that we wouldn’t have to be in Jesus spot so that we wouldn’t have to suffer.
I'm fairly new to the wash routine, I first detabgle using my conditioner. You must know that before I used to wash my hair first, condition and try to detangle for hours and end up ripping some part and leaving other parts tangled because my arms hurt, scalp throbbing and I'll air dry. Now by starting with the conditioner, it softens my hair, than I will with shampoo and use deep conditioner, rinse out and moisiturse. I use the brush that looks similar to the denman brush but it not, the I can't use a comb (I used to). The conditioner must have slip (be able to soften the hair and let the brush easily slip through). It cut my washing day time.
I love this method! I’ve been looking for a way to improve how long it takes to do my wash and gos and I’m most definitely gonna try this method😄your end results looked great💙
I apologize I'm a new subscriber glad I found You ☺️and I am looking at this is my second video on your channel but I'm a little confused your hair was real real long in first video that I saw that was recommended but in this video is real real short so did you do the big chop or?
Yeah, she did a while ago. She used to be relaxed, and now she is fully natural. It's time for you to binge watch her channel to keep up with her hair journey 🙂
It's bouncy; it's fluffy; looks both strong but delicate-I love your texture. You can do so many things to it! You can let it hang, you can fluff it up, you can bring out those really cool zig zags, like what is this magical texture on your head woman?
Absolutely love this video. You did a wonderful job. I definitely need to try it. I believe I will. I’ve got my two strand twist down, but I need to figure out my wash and go. And your cut is gorgeous on you!
Hi Seun. Ur hair looks beautiful 😘. I have a fine, low density 4c hair. I have been trying to grow back my edges for so long now and I am also struggling with breakage. Is there any advice you can give me? I would really appreciate it thank you .
Are you currently going through some negative stress? Did you change anything in your diet? Do you sleep enough? Tight hairstyles are also to avoid in your case, my 2 cents.
Your hair may not be retaining length due to breakage even though it is growing! I find putting low manipulation on your hair through the use of protective styles that are safe for you is the best way to retain length! I talk more about this here- ruclips.net/video/prk3NpC6yqI/видео.html

I hate the alcohol in gel. I need to find a new gel product that I trust not to dry my hair out.
Yes alcohol in gel for sure! What about a DIY gel? Type flaxseed here on youtube to get the recipe 🙂
Which of your gel/leave-in combo recommendations did you use in this video?
Hey okimi, thanks for sharing , but I have been having issues with my hair , when I'm washing my hair becomes tangled like a dreads after putting conditioner in it and it is really hard to separate the hair and comb it. Please help
You might want to consider sectioning your hair and twist it up right before and during wash day. It helps reduce breakage , tangles, and knots
What leave in and gel did you use in this video 📹 🤔?
She listed everything in her description box 🙂
I have 4c LOW POROSITY hair. It doesn't hold moisture well and always have breakage 😩 Do you know of a product to use?
