I don't fully remember what that bathroom area looked like as a whole, but could you just make the bathroom bigger by tearing out a wall or something, so a bigger one of those baths would fit?? If you did change the stair location to the loft, you could build a mini cat home in the space underneath. Looking forward to seeing the place come together. I know you did a house tour when looking at it and stuff, but it'd be cool to see some before/after still shots also.
A splurge is one thing, but it sounded more like it would have to be a ridiculously expensive custom made one. Something to consider is that as the room itself is smaller, a custom smaller bath might not look as nice as the ones in the photos. I would try looking through catalogues and showcase rooms of bathrooms the size you have there, there could be something really nice, ready to buy, that you haven't thought of yet. I would consider splurging on one of the nicer ready-to-buy bathrooms you find that way.

About the treadmill, it's probably because the belt is dry. You need to apply some lubricant below. I used to work on gyms. You can use liquid vaseline , but try to search for the manufacturer options

I’ve been wanting to get one of those under the desk treadmills, just wasn’t sure how easy it would be to work while walking 😂 I’m a graphic designer so sometimes I need a very steady hand, but for the rest of my work I feel like it’d be great!
I like numbers 1 and 5 the most 😊 Please be careful with the carpet underneath the treadmill 😯 it should say in the instructions that it needs to be on a hard surface because it can cause fire 🔥 The treadmill has been on my "want" list for a while but I just don't know if I'll use it 😅 But the standing desk is really nice, I've got a manual one. For the glasses donations, you can also donate at the Optical counter in Costco. I used to work there and Costco sends them out for use in 3rd world countries. When we couldn't ship them during Covid we had a member come in and bring all of the donations to Lions Club!

I got an Epomaker since it’s hot swappable so I can change the switches if I want something quieter or clackier. I love it and the little tv it came with lol.
@@sharlainjapan I was considering the same with the same keyboard, but apparently the spacebar is nonstandard so you would not be able to change the keycap for the spacebar 😔 The rest of the keys should be okay to change, so hopefully you can find a set that works with the look of the current spacebar 🤞

If I/you were living in the space a hinoki bath would be awesome. I'd splurge. However, as a rental property the pragmatic choice wouldn't waste coin on a bespoke tub when it could be put into other features. Bottom lines. Profit margins. And all that.
omg i watched this video back when it first released but since then i've moved to japan (tokyo). a few days ago, i was walking in my neighborhood when i saw that cafe and thought it looked really familar! because it was shorakuen! i live really close to it. it looks really good but a little expensive so i think i'll go on a special occasion with my friends.

Three rooms of my house have cork floors, and I don't recommend them. They're easy to stain, easy to damage, and every cat who has ever lived here has always loved to claw at it.

So excited to see the new house reno. I gave myself a little desk update a few months ago, too! If you work on the computer a lot, try adding a second monitor to your set up! You can mount it to the desk or wall behind so it doesnt take up space on your desk. I really don't like working without it now!

If you’re going to walk while working you might want to wear proper walking shoes, I know treadmills can be kinda hard on your body, though I’m not familiar with little desk ones.

Love the desk setup! I just got into clacky keyboards myself and have been having a blast ☺️ there are some really cute cat themed keycaps out there which are super easy to change! I got myself coffee/cat themed ones. ☕🐱

I got an Epomaker since it’s hot swappable so I can change the switches if I want something quieter or clackier. I love it and the little tv it came with lol.

@@sharlainjapan I was considering the same with the same keyboard, but apparently the spacebar is nonstandard so you would not be able to change the keycap for the spacebar 😔 The rest of the keys should be okay to change, so hopefully you can find a set that works with the look of the current spacebar 🤞

Oooo Sharla I have the same keyboard and it's so pretty! The Logitech store also has colorful replacement keys for this one, in pastel pink and pastel green. 😍

If I/you were living in the space a hinoki bath would be awesome. I'd splurge. However, as a rental property the pragmatic choice wouldn't waste coin on a bespoke tub when it could be put into other features. Bottom lines. Profit margins. And all that.
We stayed in an Australian’s Airbnb in Kyoto and she had a small Hinoki bath so you definitely can get them. Probably comes Down to cost $$$

omg i watched this video back when it first released but since then i've moved to japan (tokyo). a few days ago, i was walking in my neighborhood when i saw that cafe and thought it looked really familar! because it was shorakuen! i live really close to it. it looks really good but a little expensive so i think i'll go on a special occasion with my friends.

Put a yoga mat under the treadmill or it could ruin your rug. I walk while I work and the treadmill leaves stains on yoga mat I have under it.
Three rooms of my house have cork floors, and I don't recommend them. They're easy to stain, easy to damage, and every cat who has ever lived here has always loved to claw at it.

I gave myself a little desk update a few months ago, too! If you work on the computer a lot, try adding a second monitor to your set up! You can mount it to the desk or wall behind so it doesnt take up space on your desk. I really don't like working without it now!
