Hey everyone!!! I absolutely adore convenience stores in Japan - they're an amazing place to pick up cheap and super tasty food, so what better place for me to do a week long food challenge than at 7-Eleven in Tokyo! Yep, that's right, in todays video i'm eating Japanese 7-Eleven for a full week (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Every day had a different theme, and if you can't stick around for the full hour... just watch Day 5. Can't beat taste testing Mystery Japanese food!

My dad went Vegan for health reasons, he got a lot of good advice from his doctor about becoming Vegan and he did a lot of research, he says he feels so much better and he’s 78 years old! 😁
The reason the tax isnt added already in USA is because the tax is different everywhere. It's all pretty close but slightly different. Plus some things don't have tax and that can also vary from state to state. In my state there is no tax on clothing but in other states they do tax that
Pretty Pastel Please love your Japan content ❤️ please please make more! Many more!!! Maybe some planing videos also. AND make a playlist with all the Japan videos, please - I use the app on my tv. It’s really not ideal for browsing 😁
My least favorite part of this whole video was your friend choosing your food. That wasn’t entertaining in the least.
"Just" a little FYI. The JUST Water you had with dinner on your day of vegetarian food, is from a local natural spring-fed preserve where I live, in the Adirondacks in New York State (USA). Their bottling plant is just a few minutes' walk from my house. LOL The company was actually founded by Will Smith and his son Jaden. 😃
Dude you could be a broke college student in Japan and you’ll still be eating better than a broke college student in the U S

Lily Fields really? that’s pretty cool, as a US student, i could only IMAGINE what it’s like
As a Mexican who lives in Canada and is vegan and is in high school, food is very boring and I can’t eat much stuff I used to because now I’m on an even more strict diet because I’m only getting sugar from fruits and no salt if possible so then I can lose weight ;-; I really don’t like it but at least I get one day off every week so I can have whatever I want that day (oh and I have to be vegetarian two days a week because if I don’t , i will start to have problems with my body, y know what I mean??)

Wow, it's really amazing to me that you can eat so well in Japan with so little. The quality too looks like it's way better than cheap food here. Here in the USA it would be a real struggle to eat that well. You definitely would have to skip a meal, probably lunch.

Electragirl5 nope eggs are basically a chickens period so if it has not been in contact with a male the eggs are not fertile and would be laid no matter what the only problem would be if the chickens weren’t treated right which they probably weren’t idk how it is in Asia
@@Electragirl5 most vegetarians eat eggs... there is no possibility for an egg to be a chick unless it was fertilized. 😑
Pretty sure eating eggs is not considered vegetarian because they do not eat any animal products at all and last time I checked eggs are an animal product. Maybe it's just the I
u.s. that does that but eating eggs defeats the purpose of becoming a vegetarian. Coming from a long line and large family of vegetarians and vegans and raw diets

Ig as an American what I'm finding most interesting is that... literally everything you got for every meal was perfectly portioned for one person, specifically items like produce (blueberries, salads, and veggies). Maybe it's because of our fridge, cook at home culture, or maybe we just have massive portions OR maybe it's just the fact ur buying from a convenience store, but even most basic snacks in America, it's very very rare to find items proportional to make just one meal for one person. And to people who may respond- I'm not talking about prepackaged meals made for kids like Lunchables, I'm talking more like parts of an adult meal (rice, egg, chunk of tofu) that are proportioned for a single person's meal.

For vegetarian food, the fruit sandwiches are really good, inari sushi, soy milk, seaweed or umeboshi onigiri and their pastries. Btw kimchi isn’t usually vegetarian because they put fish in the seasoning.
I was thinking the same thing about the Kim chi and I felt so bad for her trying so hard. Also, in a lot of religions people don't consider fish meat.
Kimchi CAN be vegetarian, I often ask before trying kimchi in different occasions because of allergies, by now I always had good luck with it being vegetarian (and it was from japanese chefs)

I went to Japan and literally all breakfasts/lunches we had were at 7eleven. 7 eleven in Japan is on a whole other level of deliciousness in their food like even better than some "proper" restaurants I know also as long as I remember pretty cheap and you had where to sit, where to heat up the meals, and you could even buy clothes or Disney tickets there, man I wish I could have a 7 eleven like that where i live

As a vegetarian when going to places like japan I often just accept that a lot of the time fish sauce is gonna be used in the sauces of things and just roll with it
Not really fish sauce, that's Chinese cooking. What you mean is Benito broth or dashi I think 😊
@@84rinne_moo a lot of Japanese food is Japanized versions of Chinese food, and does call for fish sauce. Same with Korean food. They all kind of shuffle food culture around a bit, to the extent that none of them claim to be the origin of Ramen.
Yeah, cool, but what about people with allergies?
@@ashneehs 「すみません、アレルギーがあるから、これの中に(insert allergen here)がありますか?」 You can literally just ask if the food item you are interested contains the thing you're allergic to. Even at the convenience store. They will help you find food you can eat if you ask, but you have to be proactive about your food allergies there, because they aren't a super common issue there.
@Michele Doenges thanks for telling me! It's a huge problem for me because I'm allergic to fish etc, so dashi would be lethal
Love the video! I also love your backpack it's so cute!
Oh. My. Goodness thank you so much for telling us about the translation thing p.s. Japanese eggs look like the best cooked eggs ever.
