I eat it every morning, you should try natto once again! ( put all the mustard and mentuyu that Kame is the package too 😉 )
For vegetarian food, the fruit sandwiches are really good, inari sushi, soy milk, seaweed or umeboshi onigiri and their pastries. Btw kimchi isn’t usually vegetarian because they put fish in the seasoning.
Kimchi CAN be vegetarian, I often ask before trying kimchi in different occasions because of allergies, by now I always had good luck with it being vegetarian (and it was from japanese chefs) So you should be cautious, it CAN be vegetarian, but always check out the ingredients i guess

I'm honestly cringing more over the half lashes on just the outside half of her eyes with no other mascara on the rest. It's achieving some kind of "reverse uncanny valley" quality. She looks so pretty without false lashes, I wish she's just take them off. Or at the very least wear a full lash band. Half lashes are meant for dark haired people with semi-thick lashes to fluff the outer end. Not for people with light hair/lashes to wear by themselves. It just looks awkward. And I already know, make-up is whatever makes you comfortable, you're allowed to wear it how you want, blah blah blah. I know. I'm just stating my opinion. It looks weird and unnatural.
@@Terri_MacKay I mean tofu is already cooked, you have to cook soymilk to get it to coagulate into curbs also that's silken, and you you shouldn't be cooking it beyond gentle heating in soup, you'd ruin what is otherwise a soft custard like texture. Even harder tofu deserves a good hot frying or grilling if you're going to cook it. Honestly it's the reason I stay far far away from tofu when I'm eating in any western style places, they usually have no clue how to make good tofu, it's always too dry and has the vague texture of an old abused dish sponge soaked in some kind of weird sauce.
@@Caerigna lol, it's a staple in Australian breakfast for kids. There's canned spaghetti that goes well with toast, it's diffrent from home made spaghetti though it's like the McDonald's one. I’m from the US. We have a lot of imitation crab often seen spelled “krab”. It’s a fish called surimi that has a similar texture to crab. They add flavor and color and use as a cheaper substitute for real crab.
Actually surimi isn't a fish, it is a mix of cod pulp and carbs with colorants and thickeners added to it. It is still fish in a way but surimi is more like a preparation 😊
It still has a very small amount of real crab though because I have a crab allergy so it’s the only way I can eat crab, but if I eat too much it still makes my stomach hurt because of the tiny amount of real crab...and it’s usually crab flavored pollock not surimi

I went to Japan and literally all breakfasts/lunches we had were at 7eleven. 7 eleven in Japan is on a whole other level of deliciousness in their food like even better than some "proper" restaurants I know also as long as I remember pretty cheap and you had where to sit, where to heat up the meals, and you could even buy clothes or Disney tickets there, man I wish I could have a 7 eleven like that where i live
Me too! I’m so jealous. 7/11’s in Japan are AMAZING where as a 7/11 in California where I live is awful, all the way around. Be careful not to get shot, watch out for the shady people who loiter outside of it & food there is crap. And definitely not cheap at all.
Ikrrr I used to live in Japan I loved it thefe

@@neonsvampen1 it depends on the type of vegetarian the person is. Some don't eat eggs.

For vegetarian food, the fruit sandwiches are really good, inari sushi, soy milk, seaweed or umeboshi onigiri and their pastries. Btw kimchi isn’t usually vegetarian because they put fish in the seasoning.
I was thinking the same thing about the Kim chi and I felt so bad for her trying so hard. Also, in a lot of religions people don't consider fish meat.
Kimchi CAN be vegetarian, I often ask before trying kimchi in different occasions because of allergies, by now I always had good luck with it being vegetarian (and it was from japanese chefs)
So you should be cautious, it CAN be vegetarian, but always check out the ingredients i guess

As a vegetarian when going to places like japan I often just accept that a lot of the time fish sauce is gonna be used in the sauces of things and just roll with it
Not really fish sauce, that's Chinese cooking. What you mean is Benito broth or dashi I think 😊
@@84rinne_moo a lot of Japanese food is Japanized versions of Chinese food, and does call for fish sauce. Same with Korean food. They all kind of shuffle food culture around a bit, to the extent that none of them claim to be the origin of Ramen.

@@ashneehs 「すみません、アレルギーがあるから、これの中に(insert allergen here)がありますか?」 You can literally just ask if the food item you are interested contains the thing you're allergic to. Even at the convenience store. @Michele Doenges thanks for telling me! It's a huge problem for me because I'm allergic to fish etc, so dashi would be lethal
If i spent 27 dollars a day to eat, i’d be living in the street
on a vacation i'd be mad happy if that's all i spent a day on food
On vacation it is quite a good budget! But my experience was more along the 15-20 dollar range. And that was while splurging on food! You can get one-meal dishes for 6 dollars in many japanese-cuisine-fast-food joints.
It’s a vacation where you have to buy pre made food because you can’t make your own being in a hotel..... yeah if you buy bulk ingredients food is a lot cheaper but that’s not what you do on vacations because that’s ridiculous
@@ilovemusic2543 actually that does not apply to Japan, in my experience. Eating out and from Kombini is way cheaper than buying and prepping yourself! (only in Japan have I seen that so far)

Wow, it's really amazing to me that you can eat so well in Japan with so little. The quality too looks like it's way better than cheap food here. Here in the USA it would be a real struggle to eat that well. You definitely would have to skip a meal, probably lunch.
Did anyone else cringe when she placed an open packet of mustard on her white sheets?
when she opened the kimchi I stopped breathing lol
I eat tofu, but I cringed when she dumped the whole container of uncooked tofu on the plate.
She has much luck and grace not dirtying those white sheets.
@@Terri_MacKay I mean tofu is already cooked, you have to cook soymilk to get it to coagulate into curbs
also that's silken, and you you shouldn't be cooking it beyond gentle heating in soup, you'd ruin what is otherwise a soft custard like texture.
"If I talk while I eat this... I will choke and die"

I’m from the US. We have a lot of imitation crab often seen spelled “krab”. It’s a fish called surimi that has a similar texture to crab. They add flavor and color and use as a cheaper substitute for real crab.
Crab sticks? My fav snack, honestly it's because of them I'm not vegan anymore lol
Actually surimi isn't a fish, it is a mix of cod pulp and carbs with colorants and thickeners added to it. It is still fish in a way but surimi is more like a preparation 😊
I've seen pollock sold as imitation crab
ValeSpurgu, interesting I didn’t know that.
It still has a very small amount of real crab though because I have a crab allergy so it’s the only way I can eat crab, but if I eat too much it still makes my stomach hurt because of the tiny amount of real crab...and it’s usually crab flavored pollock not surimi
