The fact that the staff went out of their way to make you another hot chocolate even though you said it was completely fine put a smile on my face. That would have made my day just thought that was really sweet of them 😊
Nah, Kansas fortitude should not be underestimated. They get heat indexes of 110f (43C) in the summer and negative wind chills (-20C) in the winter. Throw in all the fun being where weather systems from the Gulf, Canada, and the US Rockies meet can cause some really wacky weather (and/or Tornadoes).
These videos always make me so happy! That interaction with the cafe worker was so cute and wholesome, as a server it’s so nice to see polite interactions 😊
Thanks to you and your partner we all really want to go to Japan now. Youre both realistic and don't gloss things over. Your japanese is so amazing, it's like your soul is Japanese! hehe. Ive watched you for a few years and your video quality is really amazing. I love watching your channel, and your partners. It's good to see someone that works well together as well as having a happy personal life with them too. that's hard to do.
Winter's been strung out here to THREE WEEKS nowadays. Utterly inhumane. Not what I signed up for when I moved to Victoria!! #climatechangeconfirmed 🇨🇦
Mmmmm affogato is one of my favorite things to get 😋 ☕️ my husband LOVES winter and was watching my phone behind my back just drooling at the scenery lol I’m more of a spring girl myself, but I’d put up with the cold to visit this gorgeous town ❤
@@sharlainjapan Unfortunately they have no availabilities on my dates...😭😭😭 I tried to tweek my plans a little bit but nothing in February for a solo traveller. Weirdly, they had rooms for couples but it would have been to expensive... Next time !
This is such a beautiful location with the fluffy snow and fairy lights. With the chill soundtrack, I feel so cozy. This was like a virtual cup of hot cocoa ☺️.
Your b-roll is always so well shot. Your videos always give me the comfiest vibes, making me want to take my Japan trip sooner rather than later. Cheers!
Your “get on the fucking bus!” made me laugh 😂 The snow has really been lacking where I live these last few winters, so watching this made me happy. So beautiful! Thanks for sharing it with us.
This is a nice relaxing video to watch. The stamp this time has a nice vibe with the lampposts. That place looks so pretty but super cold! I doubt I'd last long there lol. The food looks tasty! The hot choco looks so good with the toasted marshmallows on top. It's always fun to see some small behind the scene clips if JaJ in your videos as well.
I live in Florida and have never experienced snow. This place is definitely going on my bucket list! So beautiful! Also, your hair looks gorgeous in the snow!! ❤
I swear I saw this every year, but since I moved to California, I miss the snow and it was so fun and cozy watching this beautiful video! I wish I could be there enjoying that same hot cocoa. Gives me warm feelings. So thank you for braving that blizzard lol
Hi Sharla. Jason here and I just wanted to say I love your videos and the atmosphere is cozy. The music you add is wonderful. Thank you for all your videos and please continue to put a smile on our faces. Watch them with my mum as well sometimes.
Hi Sharla! I've been following your vlogs for probably 10 years already... always living vicariously through your amazing videos. And guess what??? Next month I'm FINALLY visiting Japan for the first time in my life!!! It's hard to put into words just how excited I am lol and I just wanted to thank you for always sharing with me your exciting adventures, they made me fall in love with this beautiful country even more 🇯🇵❤
It has become routine for me to watch one of your videos while eating breakfast! I love the chilled vibe of your channel and you seem so genuine and kind. Thank you for the great content and keeping me company in the mornings 🩶
Every minute was beautiful 😍 Sharla, I'd be doing the exact same things as you, eating and drinking the same menu items, and shopping the same Earl Grey cat tins. 😂
You never cease to amaze me!!! I grew up with snow in winter but not like this !!! You braved it and YOU ARE SO PRETTY....too. I live in LA... Good to live through your adventures ❤❤❤
@sharla if you get stuck again and need to film on your phone etc get a program called Topaz Ai it will let you upscale and denoise your video to 4k etc and then edit in premier or final cut after effects etc as per normal .. it does a super good job has to be said ... Thanks for efforts as always.
@@sharlainjapan yeah do so... For allot of the graphics I make now for clients I make the footage at 30fps 1080p and upscale it to 4k 60fps... It uses Ai to help scale and denoise etc the footage super well ... a good pro tip.
Thanks for Yamagata tour! By the way, snowy weather is so similar with Finland's winter weather 🙂And it always requires warm clothes which have rain and wind protection. I remember Natsuki and Chris having foot path in one of those previous videos.
I remember seeing this place in Chris's video too. It's such a beautiful place. The Snow, the old time looking lamps, how it looks of a night. So pretty. Thank you Sharla and Chris for sharing this place with us in your videos. I also love how Sharla knew what we were thinking about her being Canadian and the Snow lol.
This video is such a calm and cozy (and delicious-looking) antidote to the frenetic weirdness of Chris and Pete’s handcuff video. :) I’m sitting here in Toronto thinking about spending $6000 on a trip to Japan just for that hot chocolate and those scones.
Lovely video! It looks like a dream land! And yes, I laughed about the disclaimer - Toronto gal here, and I know what snow is! You should take Chris to Canada and visit Ottawa or Toronto sometime during winter! ;)
"Is that them there?"
*cuts to a shot with Pete and Chris chained together* XD
Just a typical outing with Chris and friends😂😅
The fact that the staff went out of their way to make you another hot chocolate even though you said it was completely fine put a smile on my face. That would have made my day just thought that was really sweet of them 😊
"In Kansas this is a brisk summer day"
You can't let Pete show up your Canadian fortitude Sharla! Lol
I’m from Victoria I’ve got nothing😂
@@sharlainjapanand I just hit that part of the video where you mentioned it! My bad haha
😂😂😂😂😂

Kansas just be that crazy city slicker like you don't understand 🎉
🤣Sharla, your "GET ON THE F-IN BUS" made me giggle. This place looks so cozy (even with the blizzard)! 💖
The parts where we can see the snow falling in the background while youre in the cafe is so so cozyy!!
the staff at the cafe is so nice & funny 😂
They’re really fun😂😂 Love that cafe! ❤
what a beautiful winter village! glad sharla found what she was looking for and then some!
Pete is a true national treasure.
Protect this man at all costs.
That hot chocolate and affogato looked amazing!! Thanks for the comfy vlog, perfect way to start my Friday! Wishing you a lovely weekend!
Thank you! You too! 🩵🩵

If possible please don't cut the moments when you speak Japanese, i love hearing you and it's inspiring me to continue to learn🙈 love this vlog💙
This place is gorgeous, and that stamp was top tier.
I flipping love that lamp stamp
Your hair looks so amazing in this video! ❤️
Haha thank you! It was actually frozen solid by the end of the day😂
It looks so good!
lol the juxtaposition between your video and Chris’ made my day 😂
雪景色とマッチしててほんと雰囲気良さそうな温泉街、いつか行ってみたい

glad that Sharla was having a cozier time at Ginzan than Chris & Pete 🤣
It's kinda funny that I can hear Chris' voice while Sharla was in the café. 😂
It is fairytale beautiful, especially covered in snow. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
"I'm from Victoria!"

Ahhhh so cozy! That hot chocolate looked amazing!!!
Sharla: i can't imagine wanting to use that foot bath right now
Chris: 😈
Nice getting Sharla’s somewhat different perspective on the same place (after the crazy tumultuous video of Chris and Pete🤪) coooozy☺️☺️🥰
What is the video called with Chris and Pete? :)
Rewatching this because OP hadn’t uploaded and I need my Japan fix and this is one of my fav videos ❤
The second I saw the guy in the blue coat at the beginning I knew this was shot when Chris's video was lol.
Shot on a “brisk summer day” 😅
Yay!! I have been waiting for another cozy vlog. The snow looks incredible, what a fun trip! 💕 Thanks for taking us along!
Mmmmm affogato is one of my favorite things to get 😋 ☕️ my husband LOVES winter and was watching my phone behind my back just drooling at the scenery lol I’m more of a spring girl myself, but I’d put up with the cold to visit this gorgeous town ❤

Hope you get a chance to visit! 🤩🩷
My god these sceneries are so freaking pretty!!!
Snow is pretty to look at 😅
Nice that the shops tell you when it's full before you get inside 😊
Perfect timing for my coffee break at work ❤
Can't wait to go there on the 23rd !
Enjoy

こんにちわ、初めてコメントさせていただきます。めっちゃ行きたかった所なのでこの動画見て楽しかったです☺️大人のココワお酒が入ってて飲んでみたいです。寒そうだったけど最高の景色でした👍👍👍😚
Snow is so pretty when you are watching it elsewhere. In Nashville we had it for a whole week. Huge snow followed by deep freeze.
feel super cozy! The town indeed looks amazing at night in snow.
Absolutely beautiful! This will be on my itinerary for my next trip for sure! That pink tin was absolutely adorable!!
Much love from Arizona 💜💜
So cute isn’t it! I’ll have to find something to put in it when the tea is all finished🩷
Happy 2024 so needed a good vid right now.... So beautiful...
The village looks so beautiful at night with the snow, but certainly from inside.
This area looks so pretty, especially with the snow! Looks like it'd be a great place to visit!

Great Vlog Sharla! Thanks for showing us this pretty, snowy Hot Spring Resort Village...
I feel so warm and cozy LOL.
Fantastic idea of busing people into popular tourist area. Wish they did that for national parks in states. Especially in heavily traveled area.
They do that at Zion National Park in Utah! It was nice not having all the cars around.
Welcome to Japan and I expect much more people from your country live in countryside of Japan 🔵🇯🇵🥸
The AESTHETIC of this vlog 😍

I'm a winter/ snow person so this looks like my heaven
Absolutely lovely onset village, beautiful with the lights on at night, thank you for this. The hot chocolate looked really yum.

Just what I need this morning; great content! ❤️
