If I ever bump into you at El Cocinero one of these days, tacos are on me. I think you earned them at this point thanks to all the good eating I've been doing all this time since I found this channel.
I followed an authentic Italian recipe and used coconut cream instead of heavy cream and it was aaaaah mazing. I followed the recipe exactly with the only substitution is coconut cream for heavy cream and vegan Parmesan.
It goes without saying that every recipe you make is delicious but what about just vegan butter and vegan parmesan? I also add a little bit of oat single cream to make it creamy. I mean that’s how we do the “alfredo sauce” or better “butter and parmesan pasta” as we call it in Italy. Still your recipe’s outstanding. Thank you for what you do for the vegan community .
Wow, I made the first recipe and it was a vegan replica of the Alfredo sauce Olive Garden serves! This was the first homemade sauce I’ve made on my own, it was so damn good 😩 Thank you man, awesome channel.
Thank you so much!!! My son was looking for a vegan dish then I searched and found you. I made this dish and he loved it. Initially I used the cashew method but after the dish cooled it looked dry. So, I decided to make a pot of the other so that he could add more sauce. Thank you for assisting me in getting " Cool Mom Points"
Making this tonight! For anyone that would prefer milder garlic flavor, make some oil infused garlic & use those or bake some cloves in their skin until soft. It gives the garlic a milder flavor. 😊 lovin’ your recipes THee Burger Dude! Enjoy your videos👍 your voice is radio quality as an announcer.
Made the cashew alfredo tonight with some whole wheat linguine and broccoli and it was AWESOME! It was so easy to make too! The sauce started out a little thin straight out of the blender, but when I added it to the pot and heat it back up with the pasta and the broccoli, it thickened up very nicely! I'm thinking I'll use this for an Alfredo Pizza next! Thanks so much for sharing these!! =D
the dried garlic in garlic salt is processed differently than fresh garlic so it does have a different flavor in most quick easy things. It's like dehydrated onion vs. fresh onion, the dehydrated/ dry stuff tastes more... roasted/ concentrated?
I’ve heard from folks who like to combine the fresh + granulated garlic that the fresh has a more pronounced sharp flavor whereas the dried is much more mellow. So I can see using both if you’re a discriminating cook.
I made it. Definitely don't use original soy milk as your plant milk. Yuck! Next time, I'm going to try cashew or almond (I'm not crazy about almond milk).
Yeah, that's essentially how I make this kind of sauce - both versions are good! However, I never considered putting pasta on a burger... Is this an American thing? It sounds like an American thing!
Sorry you didn't like it as much as you'd hoped! I always recommend to season to taste since everyone has different salt and spices preferences, thanks for the feedback!
You probably could have added a slurry to thicken up the first cheese a little more. I've never made a vegan roux before. (or any roux, really) Every time I've added nutritional yeast to a milk it was absolutely foul. The only times it was good was when I followed Rip's recipe for chickpea cheese which didn't use any milk and Simnett's recipe for nacho cheese which also didn't use milk. I'll give it a try though and see what happens. Maybe adding a vegan cheese to go with it will improve the taste. I made the cashew version, but I put in smoked paprika instead of garlic. It was pretty good as a mild nacho sauce.
Nice!

😂😂 I remember having the garlic + garlic salt conversation. 💚

Great recipes! I can't help myself to mention... your tone in the voiceovers remind me very much of Chef Johns from Food Wishes. :D
We love this! Looks amazing! Also the garlic salt cracked us up haha 👏

This channel is frickin' greatness. Thanks for the excellent work.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎉 Thank you so much for sharing this! I used the cashew based recipe, added 1 tbsp of cornstarch and it was amazingly delicious! 👨🏽🍳 10/10 🌟
I love those stick blenders they are handy.

Can’t wait to try it! 🤤
Looks delicious 👌
you make cooking and learning fun 😁😄🤠
Can i strain it through a rucksack? I dont have a nutbag (do you mean nutsack? I have one of those)
Walnut sauce is also yummy
amazing
Yesss I love Alfredo 😍 thank you!!
It looks so good!
this looks pretty :) but does the milk have to be unsweetened? and also I got nutritional yeast but it’s the bob red mill brand is that okay?
Yes otherwise you’ll have sweet cheese which is not good!
Any nutritional yeast will do too
I can't wait to try this!
I made it. Definitely don't use original soy milk as your plant milk. Yuck! Next time, I'm going to try cashew or almond (I'm not crazy about almond milk).
I can't find nooch in the local grocery stores around me :(
Oh no! You should be able to find it online if you can get it that way.
Can I add lactic acid instead of vinegar?
Yes! It’s stronger so add a little at a time until it’s as cheesy as you like it!
Yeah, that's essentially how I make this kind of sauce - both versions are good! However, I never considered putting pasta on a burger... Is this an American thing? It sounds like an American thing!
haha yeah I'm guessing it's an American thing!
Nope never heard of it!
I don't have a blender. Would food processor work?
I don’t think so but not totally sure. Sorry!
in alfredo they are no cream or milk or flower
What milk goes better mine always comes out to brown
I always use Ripple
@@TheeBurgerDude I've never tried that I will try it now
Hello, What is the pasta brand that you use
I don't remember what I used on this one but I'll usually get the generic store brand or De Cecco.
When you say vinegar is it white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar?
Either should be fine! White might be preferred but I don't think it will make a big difference either way.
If you simmer the cashew-based sauce on the stove, it will thicken up a lot
Yup thank ya! Good tip.

Sorry you didn't like it as much as you'd hoped! I always recommend to season to taste since everyone has different salt and spices preferences, thanks for the feedback!
@@TheeBurgerDude you’re right! And no problem
You should have someone tasting these on camera at the end.

Too much garlic? Blasphemy!
"Kind of like Sophie's Choice" .... Come on man, you actually edited this video and chose to keep that in?
You can also do this with vegan cheese and vegan heavy cream. If you can find it.
A recipe I found online comes out tasting good but clumpy 🥲 I’m going try your technique!!
