The reason the original video took off and had so many view is because you have BY FAR, hands down, the absolute best reactions. I’ve watched a bunch and you are so real and so funny and willing to just let it all be out there. It’s amazing. Lateralus has always been my favorite Tool song but ever since the release of Fear Inoculum I’m torn between Lateralus and Descending being my favorite. I hope you react to Descending soon!!
I knew they were special with "Ænima." I knew they were going to make a difference. But it was the "Lateralus" album (especially the song!) that got me into them. Plus, they'd taken a note or two from King Crimson's book - and what a book they themselves are writing.
I wholeheartedly know exactly what you were going through. Tool is one of those bands that went from good to great to True. Tool makes True music - labels like "good," "bad," and "great" don't even mean anything anymore. And very few people have EVER done that.
Still waiting for you to get to "Third Eye." :-)

@@da9pauly Descending is my all time favorite tool song. The whole Fear Inoculum album is gold but it's on a whole other level.
The overall brilliance of Maynard and the rest of Tool in general is hard to put into words. Constructing music mathematically, and then the quite intentional multiple interpretations for the lyrical content and delivery is quite astounding. And they have only gotten better at it. True musical gods.
I love how "The Pot" isn't even in your top 5 any longer thanks to what you've heard on the channel. It's been a cool journey and I really hope this video can actually stick around.
Isn't that crazy?! I don't think I've listened to that song since I started the channel. That also sounds crazy but I believe it's true. Maybe I'm afraid it will be #1 again so I'm avoiding it. :D

Yea...similar experience first time for me too! Lateralus will always be my number one! I love every Tool song, but this is THE one that transformed and transported me to another plane of existence, and STILL does every single time!

Hello Lauren. I must say that I am enjoying your TooL journey very much. And too, as a TooL fan, I will say...you should not feel concerned about stopping to express yourself...that is what most of us fans wish to see and hear. If people don't want commentary...go listen to the song/album at your leisure. I have been listening to this band for decades. My enjoyment come from seeing people grok the greatness of my favorite band and to hear them express their feelings of such. This was my favorite Lateralus reaction out of all the Lateralus reactions I've watched which is probably all of them. It was equally a great re reaction!
The perfection of this song is extraordinary. Saw them live Brixton academy in London in 2002. The album blew me away but seeing them live in pitch black darkness for 2 hours was an experience I will never forget and this song live is a life changing experience.
If this was blocked again (fingers crossed it isn't), you could always do a re-re-reaction, much like Brad (Taste in Music) did in that insanely fun video...
I love these re-reactions! Watching you cringe to yourself is so funny. You really aren't cringey, though. You just make the reaction fun. I love it when you try to protect us with the, calm downs and it'll be OKs. Lol Also, this song is so, so good! I, too, completely over think and over analyze everthing. And worry and fret and don't sleep and have crazy anxiety and procrastinate and..... I listen to a lot of Tool, I just need to practice what they're teaching more. Maynard in the next studio. That is a good description of the muted vocals. I describe it as he’s singing from across the room, but there is a towel covering the mic. That’s one of the reasons I never know what he’s singing…or until I see the lyrics in your videos. 😄

I still think with how much Tool, Slipknot, and Opeth you have done that you would like Jinjer. Eugene is my favorite bassist not named Justin Chancellor and even then he's a very close second. Wallflower would be a good track to start with to ease in since I remember you saying you are familiar with Pisces.
Pit Of Consciousness is one of my favorites if you'd rather have more of a jump straight in song.
Welcome to Tool. I have everything they have put out. Some of their music I listen to frequently. Other songs I break out occasionally like a great bottle of Scotch or a really great bottle of wine....for MY pleasure.
