I LOVE that someone is talking louder about the Joy's of children and motherhood instead of the negative aspects. It's nice for expecting moms to actually hear the uplifting parts💕

Yes!!! I remember when I was pregnant I only heard the negatives and the “wait til she.....” Now my baby is close to a year old and still that’s what I hear “your home is gonna be messy with toys” “oh let’s see what you have to move around your home because she’s gonna want to break everything “ I’m like really? Ugh

Aaaww! Maybe it’s because they know hard days will also come and they don’t want you to feel alone? Or they just complain too much? 🤣 There are very hard days but I LOVE motherhood. My little boy is 17 months and it’s been the best part of my life by far.

@@adrianal3al when I told my friends that me and my partner want to start a family they were the same. "Oh you will never sleep again, your house will be a mess....wait until this and that happens. Not sure if they want sympathy for their struggle or think that I'm stupid or naive, but it's a disheartening thing to do. Loved this video so much because it highlighted good things about being a parent.

Yes, this one is so true!!! For them and for us!! I have only had one chunk of a few months of solid sleep in the last 4 years! That was between my kids when my eldest slept through at 9-14 months. That was it and he started not sleeping again, then enter baby number two who has slept only a few nights in his 2 years, which always coincided with bad dreams from the other.

I was there girl! My husband, after we were married, changed his mind and didn't think he wanted kids. I've known since childhood that raising and caring for a family was all I wanted. I tried to accept that my life could be without children and i couldn't so we rarely talked about it. After 5 years of trying to accept what he wanted, I went to a job interview and they asked where I saw myself in 5 years and i said without thinking that I wanted to be home with my children and homeschool them. Obviously didn't get the job but it really put into perspective that I did know what my role was in this world and what I wanted in my heart more than anything. So I laid out my 5 year plan to make having kids financially possible and I shared that with my husband. And I knew I couldn't convince him because this desire was a feeling that you can't logically convince someone if. So I gave it to God and I asked a few friends to be praying with me. I prayed everyday that He would open my husband's heart to understand this feeling. I prayed God would put a burning passion in his heart to use his talents to glorify God. And I asked God to use me however I could be used to shine His light to the world. Within a few months everything came together and he really had a change of heart. I can't even express how happy I was when he told me he wants kids now. It's been about 1.5 years since then and our little girl should be arriving any day now.
Take heart, be patient, and protest to God everyday. He is loving and as I reminded myself when I felt low and doubtful that things would change: I know this is what I was made for. This is the strongest desire in my heart. I will be dutiful and faithful to God and his commandments he has asked of me. He wants good for me and loves me more than I can comprehend. He will not leave me barren. Even if I'm as old as Sarah, God will bless my womb.

Jessica McElroy I had a similar talk to my SO right before we got engaged. He was terrified of having kids cus he didn’t want to be a bad dad and mess then up like so many do. He didn’t realize that the level of care and concern he had for providing a wonderful life to a child was proof that he wouldn’t be a screw up. I have accepted that if biological children are not in our plan that we will adopt. He was adopted so he fully understands that decision. I’m so happy to hear you have been blessed and your baby girl will bring so much light into your life.

My children won’t remember my weight, my messy hair days, if I accidentally burnt dinner, or the days I’m a little grouchier than I should’ve been... They will remember that mommy told the best stories. That no matter what, I was always there! That cuddle time was my favorite. ❤️ We were made for our babies, and they for us.

Thank you for this. I was so scared when I found out I was pregnant. Around that time a person who matters so much to me said that I would never be able to raise someone. That broke me in infinite pieces. A month later I was pregnant. And 22 yrs old, in a serious and stable relationship, which helped me so much through it all. I found your channel months ago and thanks to you I switched my perspective to one of excitement, connection, love. I'm due in 9 weeks, my father is the pediatrician. I'm so thankful to God for this opportunity to be a mom. I don't think my life could've gone any better than this. I send you so much love and all my gratitude because you helped me heal deep wounds. I'm just 17 and nowhere close to this but I love how you think you're a mom even as you're pregnant....a lot of women will say 'I'm going to be a mom' and somehow I feel that tampers with our mentality and makes the baby a lot less significant in terms of someone who's not ready and considering aborting. I've been having a rough week being 32 weeks pregnant along with my almost 2 year old girl. She throws fits and gets into everything and I've been overwhelmed and hateful. I just feel like I'm not cut out to be a mom some days. This video came at the right time and has shown me how I need to change my perspective, truly!
I got absolutely emotional so many times watching this. Because all the while I'm fuming about something she did and her reaping the percussions of it. It takes her less than no time to forget, forgive and be kind.
My child is constantly teaching me forgiveness, grace and kindness. Something that is so fundamental in all of our lives that I forget to give myself too often.
I'm sorry for the long post! But thank you so much for sharing this!! It was God sent and I hope he continues to bless you all and help you grow into a closer and stronger family no matter the circumstances. 💛💛

Videos like yours about the beauty of motherhood are SO NEEDED. Most of what I see on the internet is women who hated being pregnant, had birth turn out not how they wanted to, who hate having to take care of kids all the time, who say they constantly grieve not being who they used to be... I mean, I'm sure all those things can and do happen, but man, people love to complain. And sometimes (often) they forget to mention any of the good stuff. It's pretty discouraging for young women like me looking forward to starting a family. I love hearing more women with attitudes of "yeah, it was so hard, and so painful... but I would do it all again. I got stronger from that pain. I grew from that exhaustion like I never could without it. The suffering is 1000% worth it."

Also praying for our meals, praying first thing in the morning and at night time, to thank God for another day/protection/provisions/our loved ones. There are many kids' worship songs on RUclips😊
At the end of the day though, it is about being consistent and living out that Faith we want to teach them, because they learn more by watching us than hearing us tell them about it😉👍

We have the Jesus Storybook Bible and we started reading a story every night as he was nursing before bed. He has a hard time sitting still when he’s tired so that ended up being a simple way to do it consistently and not be frustrated every single night! Now we sing a song together, read the story, and pray quickly before his patience wears thin. It’s a good, simple little habit. We don’t worry about doing EVERY night, just every night we’re home in time. Don’t stress it and put too much pressure on it. Also praying and thanking God for meals and playing worship music are simple ways that they can hear about Jesus all the time!

Thanks, for sharing, Three of my adult daughters have moved out of our home. They left for the city(3 yrs. ago). I soo miss them ( I have 3 boys at home). I miss my girls and what us girls did together(boys are not the same). We live on a 200 acre beef farm. They went from a small town of less then 500 people population to 2+ million. I once asked them if we moved closer to them would they live with us. I was soo surprised that they said, "Yes without a doubt"! .

This was a beautiful video with some very important life lessons. 💕
I'm 41w+5d with my girl and our first and she has already taught me a couple big lessons: patience and that you can't always control how things work out, some things are out of our hands. I had all these dates and things in my head of when I would like her to come or what days I didn't want her to come for the past month. Her going over her due date by almost 2 weeks has taught me to be patient and wait, and that there is no sense worrying about things that are out of my control. It's not about me or what I would prefer. I can't wait to learn so many more lessons from her.

Have been on the journey of motherhood for about 10 months now and my beautiful daughter has taught me to value myself. I struggled with some mental health before getting pregnant and couldn’t figure out what I was worth, or what my life really meant to others. It made it difficult to connect with those around me, especially my parents. Ever since having my baby girl, I’ve witnessed the miracle that is the creation of a human being inside of my body, and then the evolutionary transformation that occurs once we are born. Her existence is everything to me, as mine is to those who love me. I’ve never felt such a strong desire to live and envision my future. She has been my blessing and my awakening all at once. I know my life will not always be easy, but I am so darn exited to see where it takes me and my little family. 👨‍👩‍👧🕊

I needed this video today after my 2 year old and I had a bumpy moment. Tantrums are no joking matter but I gave in as soon as the hyperventilating started. In that moment my bad mood went out the window and all i could do is cuddle with him and he fell asleep. He has taught me to be patient but most importantly kind, to be ki d to others and especially them. Thank you and new subscribers here.

My children have taught me humility. That it is so much more fruitful to admit when I'm wrong or to say sorry to my child than it is to be proud and be "right". Also to look at myself as a child in my own relationship with God, who also needs correction and love and reassurance. Helps me to give my kids what I myself need from the Father

My little one has taught me to appreciate every hug and cuddle and to not worry about the house being a mess if they need my attention because they are more important and valuable than dishes. It is important to have a tidy clean house but what's the point of having a spotless house when you are ignoring your children.

Sweet Delilah….I’ve been binge watching all of your videos. And I’m at a moment in my life where I have HUGE baby fever. 😭🍼👶🏻👶🏼👶🏽
Despite how scary the world is right now, I really do know that children ARE gifts of God. ✨
I just turned 26 and don’t want to get any older without having children. I think you having babies at such a young age was the best part! When they’re 20 years old you’ll barely be 40! And you being a young mom is so sweet because you’re their best friend.
    Thank you for this video.
It really just opens a conversation that not many moms talk about. I wish they spoke about the good things more often about raising their children.
Thank you Delilah and May God continue to bless you and your sweet family all the work and sacrifice you’ve done and will continue to do. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I am overjoyed to be able to answer your question as my first child was born just 6 days ago and I had wanted to be a mother so badly. So far my son has taught me that I am a fast learner even though there’s a lot I don’t know, and also that something can be the hardest and most joyful at the same time. I realize that I thought people were paying lip service or exaggerating when they said those cheesy things but now I can see they really weren’t. I’ve never been this happy.

Thank you so much! It was such a heart melting video. I got so emotional remembering everything what my kid taught me.
My little one also taught me not to be such a perfectionist, which I was for many years. Now always say to myself "It is ok that not everything Ideally laying on its places. It is ok not to have ideal always clean house. It is ok not to have ideally fold or ideally ironed clothing and etc." That is huge for me. Also, he taught me to relax sometimes and some days maybe not to be productive at all.

Being a mother taught me how big my responsibility is towards my kids, how it’s my job to reparent and self-regulate myself, to change my beliefs on how to raise “good kids”. That it’s possible to set limits with empathy and raise them without punishments (or rewards). Without punishment, how can they learn? I can assure you these tiny humans learn so much more and they will not resent you for punishing them or lie so they can avoid getting caught the next time. I learned this the hard way with my first son. And it shaped him. We all have childhood trauma, whether it’s being spanked, shamed or yelled at, set to time-out or being grounded. I remember it made me more angry and misunderstood as a child. Some of those 10 things triggered something inside you when you got emotional. It touched me so deeply. I follow you since day 1 and I’ve noticed your (and mine too☺️) parenting style evolved so much since having Theo! Delilah, I’m so very proud of you!❤️ Continue taking care of yourself and connecting with those beautiful, pure children God has given you and lead them with love.❤️
    Have a beautiful day.❤️
