I’ve been having a hard time trying to find exercises that doesn’t put so much straight and stress on my knee with being as heavy as I am. Thank you so much for showing the gentleman as well. It helps to visualize someone like us to see the workouts too. I propped my phone up and followed along so easily and I feel amazing about myself. Thank you!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Edit: OMG I started doing this a month a go, 3x a week along with healthier eating habits and I am proud to say I’m now down 21 lbs😭😭😭😭😭😭 THANKS FOR THIS!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Hey Jessica! This workout is supposed to be done in a Series, so each workout is one day. You should be doing 3 to 4 workouts a week, so for example on Monday do Episode 1, on Wednesday do Episode 2 and on Friday or Saturday do Episode 3, then the following Monday start on Episode 4, and so on. If you're feeling strong then do 4 workouts a week and just repeat your favorite episode for that week. We wish you good health on your journey!

Wow an actual 25 minute workout I've been able to follow through all the way...everything hurts now but that means it's working right? lol
I needed SOMETHING I could do I have a massive phobia about being around people (non family) so I've been housebound and sedentary for probably around 5 years or so now, Last time I weighed myself I was 554 pounds but that was probably close to 3 years ago. Nowadays I can barely walk to the bathroom (right around the corner) and back without my legs and hips hurting and my lower back feeling like it's exploding and I have 0% energy so being able to do this has given me quite a bit of hope (I've put it on my watch later list to try and make sure I watch and do it once a day to start with.)
Gotta say I'm glad Rob kept saying "Don't forget to breathe" though because I had...when he said it it reminded me to do it XD

I am a big girl with sever arthritis in both knees and now starting in my right hip and both ankles. The most walking I do is going to the grocery store once a week and I REFUSE to use the electric mobility carts.. unless I am in SO much pain I cant stand it.
I am just starting on my journey to better myself through better food and exercise, Which your videos here are making the exercise part a reality for me. Not only am I doing this for me, I am also doing this for my youngest daughter whom weightedin at 300 lbs yesterday at the age of 16. I am currently around 400 lbs. With your guy's help, that will be reduced greatly for both of us!
    Thank you SO much.
P.S. I was a gymnast, played soccer, soft ball, basket ball, spelunking and LOVED to bike ride long distances. My weight problems started when I was diagnosed with kidney failure at the age of 34. I went into a super deep depression where everything eventually didnt matter anymore. Including life. I prayed for God to take me home to heaven, to release me from the constant sickness I felt from renal failure and depression. Food became my one and only relief, and even after I was finally taken off of dialysis because my kidneys healed enough so that I could (btw..this is rare and I thank God for this miracle) food remained my constant companion. I was off dialysis, but the depression stuck with me, and the giving up on life and everything around me was VERY hard to over come. It took me years just to be able to function again without always wondering why I should even bother.
What I am trying to say here is.. You never know how, or why any person became as heavy as they are, or what their story is. In the end, we are all human beings. Small, large, black, white.. It doesn't matter. Dont judge the book by its cover. The story inside might be a very interesting good story.

but sadly in the end, it WAS bad diet. However you want to dress it.
We might have multiple reasons for eating badly, but it doesn't change it that we ARE eating badly and I really hope your daughter isn't following the same path.
Hearing someone at 16 weight this much is scary, so please, find help for whatever problem you both have. Therapy, anything.

Dear Sarah and Tod or Rob... I have been disabled for ten years now. Anyway I have suffered the usual weight gain and limited mobility. I had bought a treadmill because I used to walk three miles a day outside and realized if I had the treadmill, I could use the treadmill no matter what the weather was and in whatever I wanted to wear. However even the treadmill would aggravate my left knee and it would take ten or fourteen days to get the pain under control. So my activity level dropped. My energy was gone and my body was always fatigued no matter how good my sleep was. I have a five year old grandson and one year old granddaughter that I want to play with and knew they would really work me over. I wanted to get in better shape to be able to ENDURE. My son recommended Yoga. While searching out that activity, I came across your series. I decided to act... and the first three weeks I lost six pounds. My energy is up. I never take a nap during the day, and I feel good which is probably the most important factor. Anyway I wanted to thank you and extend my appreciation on how good I feel your videos are. I see you both every day.

I'm shocked that people are shocked that there's encouraging comments here, and no one making fun of anyone. Obese people are majority of the time the nicest, and most mature people ever. They know what its like to be made fun of, or be told they aren't good enough just because of their weight. They don't want to make anyone feel like that.
Anyways thanks again for making these. I suffer from gout flares so I needed something similar to exercise for obese. I can't do anything where I lean on my knee's at the moment so I am just doing the one's that I can, or adapting it as best I can until the gout goes away.

    • @starrweaver
      @starrweaver 3 года назад

Disabled also and knees make mobility painful. I have a bit over 150 to lose. Need to get a chair without arms for this, had to stand for a couple cause the armrests got in the way. Shoot, I'd be happy to just get the 50 off so I can actually move better.
I've two flights of stairs in my house, it's a split level. My bedroom is down, my kitchen and bathroom are up. I actually have to 'climb' up my stairs, using my arms to pull myself up due to how easy it is from my knees to give out at any time.
I'm going to keep up with this, though I might stick with ep. 1 for a bit till I am able to do it easier. (I'm using 16oz water bottles, I hope to move to cans after a bit.) Then I'll do Ep. 2 and so on. Once I'm doing them better, I'll start using my 3-4 lb weights to do it all the way through for the week.
I'm really wanting to get my mobility and stamina back, menopause and a few falls have taken a toll on me. The fact 7 doctors tried to get me into aquatic therapy due to how damaged my knees are... (I used to be a dancer & had a rock band, all females back in the 1980's - it did repetitive damage to a section of my knees inside.) and over 10yrs they tried while my insurance refused. They also refused therapy when I feel even though it says I qualified for it. They even said no fo therapy for lymphedema after I had cancer! But it's all I have for medical.
I'm hoping to get a pool, my cousin said he'd try and get one for me. I have tried above-ground pools, but getting in and out on a ladder is frightening. So he's thinking of building a deck for me to get in, though I'm not sure how to get out and back onto the deck.
I'm glad I found this, I've used various therapy videos before to get me out of my wheelchair back in 2013-2014 - I'd bought my first pair of sneakers in June of 2014. On the 12th I was diagnoses with cancer. So it was a high and low in the same month. But I really need to get this weight off... I didn't grow up heavy, in fact, I was about 130 till my daughter was born, ending up over 200 lbs. Took a few months, but since I held my weight proportionately, I got the excess 68 lbs off. But then 4yrs later I had the twins... which must have killed my elasticity cause I've not been able to get back down.
Since 2014 I've been over 300, dropping down to 289 a few times, but if my activity level goes down, the weight goes up. Healing up after falls kills the wt. lose every time. 2020 really got bad cause I wasn't able to go out. (I'd been going to the aquatic center to swim. It's the only time I lose & don't end up injured.) Depression, loneliness also didn't help. Instead of eating, I tend to not eat as I've no appetite and feel nauseous if I do try to eat.
Thankfully, my sons showed up to ride out the lockdown with me. I can't always eat if I'm alone, but my boys won't let me go hungry. My older boy is a wiz with different soups. My younger likes to make sandwiches or omelets. Plus they made sure I had plenty of fruits and veggies. (I raised them on a Mediterranean diet growing up.)
Wish me luck, I need to do this... I need to lose weight not only to move better or my health, but I want to live longer to be here for my kids as well as myself. There's a lot more living I want to do, right now, I'm not fully living.

You can definitely eat healthy on a budget. Just stick to whole foods- fresh fruits and veggies as the main part of your diet and I think those are affordable. Lean meats, beans, tofu as well. For starches, brown rice is a great option. If you stay away from processed, packaged foods, you're already winning half the battle. Good luck.

William Graham HONESTLY SPEAKING its not about the food. kids eat all kinds of food and stay thin the majority of them anyways. Why though? Why are they able to do it? its a simple trick that nobody wants you to know about because this is HIGHLY INEXPENSIVE. you won't need their advice, you want need to take their pills or watch their infomercials. limit the portions and keep up the workouts. you will never be over 400 lbs again. see how ez that is? its that simple. We are all told to FINISH OUR PLATES but our parents never included portion control they just filled up our plates and demanded we eat it all. Smaller portions mean less money too! a serving of chicken is 2-3 ozs of meat. Most stores sell meats by the pound but one 1lb of meat (16 oz) is actually 5 servings. You are on your way to a smaller U because EXERCISE IS THE OTHER EQUATION. Food cannot be burned (metabolized) without proper ACTIVITIES. KEEP WALKING. and do this workout you see, I swear you will lose at least 15lbs per month.

For me its not so bad yet that I cant leave my chair, I still go to amusement parks and conventions and stuff, but its getting harder each year.. Im so glad I found this video, Im too shy and scared to go to a gym with all those fit looking people, and all the fitness videos with skinny people doing jumps and quicksteps just dont work for me (or my downstairs neighbors, lol). Its a good first step to becoming fit enough for regular exercise again.

I work out when I'm bored, I work out when things don't go right at school. I made working out MY JOB". DO THESE EXERCISES LIKE YOU WORK YOUR JOB (if you work) you go to work the same way. when you are bored, sad, mad, lazy you still make it to work. so you still sit down on that chair and work out. MAKE IT YOUR JOB.

i am so excited! i have searched many times before using the keywords low impact and seated but finally it dawned on me to search disabled and found this video and i honestly could cry I am 32 years young with Lupus Hashimotos underactive thyroid and fibromyalgia as a result i was about 10 yrs old when my chronic pain and fatigue began and i bawled my eyes out when i could no longer ride my bike by age 12 i have put weight on despite diet awareness bc i am so immobile and doing unmodified exercises i always end up "injuring" myself and have swollen joints for weeks after derailing my mental motivation. i was doing seated workout for elderly bc it was enough to make me feel like i wasnt losing what mobility i have but not enough to get my heart racing and feel like i could burn fat or gain muscle i was only maintaining. i am so excited to have found something more challenging that seems like it wont leave me crippled. THANK YOU so very much for offering a source of help

Now that I have reached the dreaded 250lbs, my knees are giving me a hard time. They are stiff and my back as well. I can not even walk up the stairs to go into my house without sweating! So regular standing exercises are a no go for now until I lose a few pounds. Thanks for putting this together.

Just found you and that was awesome! I have stage 3 lipo-lymphedema and had to do everything from my wheelchair, but it was doable. Looking forward to the next lesson.

Thank you so much for these workouts. I've been doing it for two weeks straight now. I've even got my co-workers doing it during our down time. We are public safety dispatchers and we sit all day. Now we can get fit while seated!

i love how positive and encouraging the gentleman is! i feel like the world needs more videos like this. I am very fit and fitness is what I hold my degree in. However I am aware of how discouraging it is for people to watch videos of really fit individuals doing workout. stay positive people! continue to work hard and push yourself, you can only cheat yourself, YOU GOT THIS! fitness is a marathon not a sprint!

This might be a long shot, but I'd like a list of all the exercises they did in here so when I log them into my fitness app I have accurate results.
    Please and thank you.

Hey guys loved your show and workout for the first time in awhile. I have seen so many people lose it on their own without it. It's like every is just looking for a quick fix and I know that it will take time. So I'm in it to win it right along with you guys! How much weight has your exercise partner lost now? I know he said that he was 472.

Thank you so much! My mother has heart and kidney problems and I've been wanting to find an exercise that wouldn't hurt her. This is our first day doing these together (I wanted to do this with her to encourage her) and she loves these!
She only made it over half of the video, but she did 15 minutes (vs the 2 minutes in our other attempts to get her to exercise) and I'm proud of her!
I also wanted to say that I love this show. You guys aren't like the average "barbie and ken doll" trainers. You are real people and I like that. Thank you!

I am sooooo excited! I was able to finish this whole workout!!! I cannot tell you how depressing it is to attempt to workout only to find that i cannot PHYSICALLY do the exercises! There are just some poses that a big body cannot mimic and some moves that we big people just cannot pull off. I was able to do everything! It is a HUGE self esteem boost. I look forward to trying this again tomorrow! Thanks Rob & Sara!!!
