I tried going last week. They were closed. Some people said they have been closed for close to a month now with no word of what's going on. They just celebrated 100 years in January, too.
I grew up in the Shores, and National Coney Island was the place for me! I've eaten at American and Lafayette in Downtown and those are the BOMB too! When Raimi, Allen and Draper opened up the Detroit Style Coney Dogs on Sunset Boulevard in 2011 I would drive an hour and a half each way from Orange County about every two months to get those tasty dogs! Too bad it only lasted a couple of years because the LA natives didn't support it. BOOOOOO!!!!! Next time I'm in the D, sometime this year, I'll have to check out Duly's...for sure!
