I grew up near Detroit.
I wish Richter Chalet was still open, they had the best German food we ever tasted!
There used to be this nasty little shack, maybe green in Color but it had the best food I have ever had n it was just things like chilli n sandwiches soups n beans. I can’t remember for the life of me where it was at.....Not the nicer part of Detroit and right in Detroit.
The Renaissance center with the restaurant up top had amazing food n very upscale at one time. Ball gowns n piano music. I heard they renovated it n it destroyed the class of it, but I don’t know.
There used to be a Japanese place where couples sat together at one table n they cook the food in front of you and do food acrobats which was pretty cool. Don’t know if it’s still there or not. Near maybe south land or cherry hill maybe. I can’t remember.
Awe we don’t eat bottom feeders or GMOed foods but the salmon sounded really really good.
Mmmmmm love love love rainbow trout! Not farmed but wild caught.

I love (not gamey) lamb too. We Can’t stand gamey at all!
If you are ever in TN There’s a place in Knoxville called Altrudas (Italian) is pretty amazing,
n in Chattanooga that has lamb that’s pretty ok, usually not gamey at Acropolis ( Greek)
And St Johns restaurant in Chattanooga is very small portions but beyond amazing food! The best!

Breakfast Brunch : Dime Store in Detroit , Charlie's Restaurant in Madison Heights
Lunch : Redcoat Tavern in Royal Oak, Lazy Bones Smokehouse in Roseville
Dinner : Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse in Birmingham, Prime + Proper in Detroit, Roast in Detroit, Luciano's Italian Restaurant in Clinton Twp
