Guess what, I have bad knees too. I do more of the split squats than lunges. I will post another workout that does not involve a lot of knee movements. For the split squats, try leaning forward to feel them in your glutes and take it slowly.
Personally, from my experience that is not how I grew my glutes. I use weights at the gym. However, my friend tried these home workouts consistently and we saw improvements in her glutes growth. I’d advise you do these with correct form, get used to them before you add weights. Remember, genetics and nutrition play a major role.

You can do everything(not glute bridges) but you have to be upright so that you feel it in your quads not your glutes.
