Is that a passive bass? It sounds great. I just installed this pickup in my Mexican Fender Jazz bass but it doesn't sound like that.

Unbelievable tone! What preamp is on this bass? Active or passive? Hard to tell. I have a audere jz6 preamp not installed and am thinking of pairing it with these pickups. Any thoughts?
