Your right. It sounds quite good passive with some great pickups. The fit and finish and just general build quality on this sub $400 USD bass is quite good....toss in some nice pickups and things start to get pretty interesting :)

I've been thinking about getting these for my 4 string Ibanez but according to the sizes on the Nordstrand site they wouldn't fit in the cavities of the bass. I've contacted Nordstrand about them but never got a reply. Did you have to do any modifications to your bass to get them to fit? I'm assuming this is the Bartolini version right?
