I had an epiphany.. do the same thing with musicman style 1/4 pole pieces. then you can get a musicman tone in a standard housing.. I’ve tried to contact you.. but had no luck. the mm.2 is my favorite sounding pickup. hands down
Mr. Nordstrand is such a nice guy. A Luthier in Mexico city is building a 5 string custom bass for me and it's going to be loaded with big singles. It's going to be my weapon to play death metal 🤘🙏🏽
Don't like the hum, but the sound is so great, I just tolerate it. The Big Splits are nice, but I can hear the difference. In the future, maybe one that sounds exactly like the Big Singles, but without most of the hum? That would be out of the park! These are also out of the park and we thank you fella for a job well done.
@@NordstrandAudio Couldn't agree more and they are amazing. The point was, wouldn't it be amazing to have this tonal versatility and power without the hum? Just hoping technology may go in that direction at some point. Otherwise, I believe this is the best of the current best.

Great pick-up 🤝
An initial small change in formula that brought huge difference to the market. Gotta get me some!
What a cool story behind those pickups. I love my big singles
Nice video.

I wish you the most fun in your life with this sharp metal axe!
Awesome story
You are genius Carry 👍🏾🤘🏾
"I was doing the shower thing." 😆
When did you first make the Big Splits? I'm liking my Breaks.
Nice, can you tell the size (in/cm) of the pickups?
can I apply this pickup in passive bass?

chuck! Big Singles sound the way they do because they ARE single coils!

The problem with low output on the Stacks is from the pole pieces going through both coils. What's different between your Big Splits and Breaks?
