    Some people talk a lot of nonsense when they're high, it takes you 10 minutes to actually get to the point there's no need to smoke another one I think you're good

    How it works: When one tire spins 120 rpm faster than the other, the G80 locker kicks into action.
    the difference in rpm actuates a flyweight-type governor, slinging a pawl that engages a clutch system which then causes a cam plate to ramp against a side gear, compressing the disc pack. This action locks together both axle shafts, and therefore makes both wheels rotate at the same speed. Eaton has included two such actuating pawls, allowing the G80 to work in both forward and reverse gears.Utilizing a flyweight mechanism and self-energizing clutch system, the Eaton MLocker engages in low traction situations when a wheel speed difference of 100 RPM or greater (left-to-right) is detected.
    Automatic locking takes place within a fraction of a second,

    Thats an INSANE cam LOL and i find it funny, ask any 'oldtimer' here in sweden, and they will tell you youll barely even benefit from the K-cam without forced induction, so id imagine theyd faint if they heard those specs and N/A in the same sentence haha, kickass man, cant wait for the videos to come!

      maxpower700 those old timers gotta step their game up haha! K cam made a huuge increase over the stock M cam in miss huff as you know , with the headflow to match this timos 13.10 cam i can stuff as much cam in there as i can and it will only benefit . If anything you will run even more aggressive cams in an na with more overlap as turbo cars dont prefer as much overlap

    Sweden (europe) got ”g80” diff before -98. My -91 940 16 valve got a g80 diff (called ”slungdiff” here in sweden, or 1041 diff) pretty sure they existed even before 91.

    Dude, the cam specs combined with the compression ratio and headwork will make that volvo sounds seriously angry.

    You need to turn the heat & speed up on the welder. All your weld is in a lump with no penetration. It's going to break again.

    I want to see what you’ve been doing, builds, events, maybe review some other people’s Volvo’s if you can.... once I get a bit more done to my 245 turbo, I’d let you do rip it. It’s mostly stock so it’s a floppy fish haha

    I literally just put those steering correctors in mine haha, the car drives real nice. Also got a set of the adjustable torque rods too

      Idiot Collective oh fuck yea dude , do you have it on the most aggrssive setting ? I like the ackerman adjustment too . I bet its great having more angle than you were used to

      Yeah i have it set at the highest angle. The angle and quicker steering feels awesome. I havent messed with the ackerman at all though

    Mechanics videos are fun too. BTW I need to do this job myself, how much gear oil does it take to fill it up? got about 3 quarts laying around and want to know if I have to buy some more.

      Some did but many didn't. My 1991 16v has one meanwhile 96 turbo doesn't.

    what i wanna see from your channel is some compilation drift videos, from different tracks and different cars n shit, get some more variation than the 20 minutes round the same track doing the same line all the time, not that those arent entertaining but im adhd af and need some fuckin variation yah know man.
    also wrenching is always cool (Y)

    how did the G80 mod hold up over time since it doesnt unlock..only at low speeds…i wanna do it too but im afraid the diff will die fast?

    Aussie lockers are also an option..... not too much money I think to buy them.... I want to put them into my 940 (europe...so my 940 is one tire fire all the way)

    You got any ideas in which cars to find G80's in the UK?
    I've just ripped my headliner out and found a shattered trim, any interior mods/tips would be cool!

      Matt Dunham it says in the video the years for US/NA and EU :) and also it says hood luck finding on in the EU, (aka better just fully weld an open diff, since you probably were gonna weld a g80) :-)

    Ummm wait don’t you have to engage the locking feature before welding it in place? Or locker mod is only gonna let it lock all the time. But not be locked all the time.

      The purpose of the mod is NOT to let the diff unlock at 40.. so it will stay drifting in whatever speed.. @ it will act like a 2 way LSD

      SKAVENGERS10 weve done this to a few g80s now and put them through some good drifting and offroad abuse . Maybe it can break the accumulator , but i like to see for myself and this is proven effective for me reliably . Since this video ive went and shitkicked the beater again and its still locking like a champ .

      SKAVENGERS10 and to answer your question , the g80 is locked under 40 kmh , what unlocks it is centifugal force causing that weight to swing out , so when the car is stopped the weight is in its "locked" position and we weld it so the weight doesent swing out and unlock the diff past 40
