@@crangejo I think it should've been the main motif in the film. The MCU has a lack of musical thematic continuity imo and even when they reuse character themes, it's mostly in sparse and sounds faintly heard like in the case of Multiverse of Madness.
Having grown up reading Dr Strange comics, I must say this movie was very enjoyable, I must have been the only one who knew what was going on out of my friends who are not comic readers

I like this theme a lot. It feels grand, imposing, majestic. I could think of many more words. But it fits the aesthetic of Dr Strange. A man who has to protect the reality from mystical forces. It’s a shame it was left behind in favour of a new take on his theme.

The theme plays briefly at one point but other than that they completely forgot about it. This has also happened to each of Iron Man's themes, surprisingly Ant-Man is one of the characters who keep their main theme throughout the entire MCU.

I’m a huge fan of Giacchino, one of my favourites… but Elfman had a lesson to give to Giacchino on the Strange World. It’s a question of point of view, I think.
It's been recently confirmed that Danny Elfman, the guy who did the music for The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and a lot of other Tim Burton films, will be doing the soundtrack for the sequel.
