One thing I've always liked about Giacchino is that he's someone who grew before our eyes. He's not from a previous generation, like John Williams, Danny Elfman, Mark Isham or many others that were already established by the time my generation - 90's kids, 2000's teens - started paying attention to names in the credits. In the 2000's, he gradually started to grow, with "The Incredibles" being his first big mark. And look at him now, look at him go, making themes for Batman.
Batman and Spider-Man have always been similar in that regard. Often times they try to find happiness only for that to be yanked away. I vividly remember the scene in Mask of the Phantasm where he is begging his dead parents to let him have a normal life because “things are different now”, and the lightning that crackles in objection. He has a responsibility greater than himself to fulfill, and that is what truly makes a hero a hero. I’m still watching this movie till this day. One of the best Batman Films I’ve ever seen. This song was so perfect for the more into the detective side of Batman, but still clearly showing his relatively new at this and still needs training.

The beginning reminds me of Elfman's Batman theme
@@TimeBomb014X Same here!
Yep
Medal of Honor still has some of the best music ever composed for a videogame. I'm glad he's getting the limelight he deserves.
Michael Giacchino is our Generation's John Williams. That's how I put it.
Also call of duty 1 with the red square theme
Don't sleep on his work on LOST. The Lost OST is ICONIC. That came before Incredibles. He also did Alias as well.
This truly does capture the feeling that being Batman isn’t a gift or a privilege but a curse.
"This is my gift, this is my curse."
Also want to note that both tend to have villains that are victims just as much as they are perpetrators.
