I loved it. People who are just fans of the MCU won't know, but that's just like the comic books. Marvel's supernatural titles are almost all so different from the main hero titles. They're beautiful, odd and just have stuff that comes out of left field on you. Everything this movie was. Raimi reached back into his Evil Dead bag and pulled out some gems. And Cumberbatch does a great job portraying that ego and hubris that Doctor Strange has that always leads him into some Armageddon level stuff in the comics. 😂

4:11 theres michal waldron(the writer) next to the groom .
After watching the movie, I've noticed some Spider-Man 2 references here of Sam Raimi.
That fight scene on a building against that Octopus-like creature, is seen in the first fight scene between Spidey and Doc Ock (a.k.a. Dr Octopus) with Aunt May. You can see the resemblance.. I guess.
Doctor Strange saying "If you want the girl, you'll have to go through me." That's one of the lines of those train passengers blocking Doc Ock on taking Spidey.
The man who caught America for not paying for those Pizza balls is the same man guarding the theater in SM2... but from another universe of course.
Wait.... Pizza? "Pizza time!" Lol.
That's some of the references I've noticed so far. Just showing how Sam is so proud of his work: Spider-Man 2, one of the best superhero movie ever created.
Oh, and also, Peter Parker's line on the last scene of the SM2 really fits on what Wanda has been doing in this movie.
"Sometimes, to do what's right we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most.. even our dreams."
Correct. I am glad someone accept the quality of spiderman 2. Many of mcu fanboys are thinking tom hollands movies are great but it not. Andrew Garfield is perfect for spiderman but not Peter Parker bit his personality seems great. But tobey is a good spiderman and peter Parker he is very nerdy and shy and he pinches villains on face when he is spiderman..
Sam raimi spiderman movies are better than any others and even spiderman 2 is better than no way home. That's why it got atleast 1 Oscar right

He has every Supreme Strange's power!
I'd have loved it if they had used a sling ring portal that was just above a pool of lava at one end and just beneath the monster at the other and they moved the portal on the end facing the lava towards the lava with the result being that the lava burned the monster either before it physically touched the monster or it poured on it.
Bad writing at it's finest
Dr strange movies are always have huge plotholes behind great CGI effects
Dude that's the point of an incident in a movie. How it happened and how they didn't use their brains too much. I could literally say a lot of things like this for every Marvel movie, or in fact for a DC movie or any Movie.
@@darpanchoudhary5719 true..😅
do u remember wong cutting one enemy's hand in infinity war starting. imagine if Dr.strange had done the same with thanos at the planet.
when they caught thanos and put him to sleep, that time he could have done that easily. or shouldn't there be a single possible outcome of that happening?
i remember after seeing the movie thinking why did they show wong doing it. i wouldn't have had any issue if he hadn't done that. now that feels like they would have won if they tried better. thats bit dissapointing but at the same time excited for endgame lol😂
@@meghulsreejith366 The directors confirmed that Strange tried this strategy when he used the time stone and it failed. Thanos’ skin is not the same a the Cull Obsidian’s and cannot be cut with the slingy portal. What I personally think would happen is the portal just simply wouldn’t be fully closable while his arm is through it, forced open like any physical door would be.

cap
That’s his opinion
It's really good but I wouldn't say it's one of the best
I love how when the eye plops out it makes the ’pop’ sound
He is soooooooo, I mean chosen to be Doctor Strange. The way he says "I do, I didn't, Yes", I am sure nobody else can do that with some much flawlessness and perfection. He literally answered 3 questions in quick 3 words looking at those 3 individuals. Awesome Benedict.
Don’t know why strange had so much trouble with the octopus, it could take like 30 seconds to defeat, when he took the bus and used one of the pieces to cut off one of its limbs, use the rest to take it down.
Yeah, he could've just thrown another pizza cutter at his eye or made a bus piece pierce his eye
I was trying to figure out why he seemed less powerful and I guess it's because he's not sorcerer supreme and of course he didn't have the infinity stone anymore but he seemed to have a problem fighting as powerfully in this movie, I mean he stood up to a primordial inter-dimensional entity in the first movie, held his own against Thanos in infinity war and now he's reduced to parlor tricks?
He got distracted remembering his dream and suffered a slight concussion because of it lol
Because it would be a less dramatic battle, that’s why. You do know this is all made up, right? It’s not real?
@@philcorrigan5641 Yes..I see that, but it’s still not safe from criticism
Benedril lumberjack is perfect as doctor strange

I don't think Gargantos isn't that evil though... I mean... Look at his actions.... He was just trying to catch Chavez..... He was holding wong just so he wouldn't troubled him.... He didn't even harm him or squashed him
Its Wanda controlling Gargantos hence why she didn't want to hurt them. She didn't care about the other Strange at the start as he was from another universe. Even though she was corrupted they did just fight a battle together vs Thanos and his army.
@Phudit gaming I'm guessing it's because of the one eye and tentacles looking like wings.
@Phudit gaming yes it does
That part always made no sense. Like, the other monster was quite happy to kill Defender Strange, but this guy had problem with doing that to Wong?
6:01 This actually does a bit to explain why no other spider-men showed up in NWH. Spider-Man clearly doesn’t exist in most universes, which means the decision each Peter/Miles/Miguel makes to become Spider-Man is fairly unique across a large scale. Really cool implication
That doesn’t explain anything. Spider man exists in as many universes as any other hero
Since Chavez constantly transports herself from universe to universe, she probably doesn’t have a lot of time to discover much of a universe, therefore she wouldn’t have enough time to discover who or what a Spider-Man is.
Which begs the question.. who is Spider-Man?
There's a flaw in this hypothesis though. All this scene explains is:
1) Chavez either didn't spend enough time in each universe, or never went to the planet/city where spiderman exclusively operates, or never caught the news etc
2) There are an infinite number of universes. Impossible to know if Spidey doesn't exist in "most" of them until all of them have been traveled to
Or it just means Sony doesn’t give permission to use Spider-Man 🧐
There’s a whole Spider-verse. It’s safe to assume that he exists in most universes.
I love that they just had a little chat when fighting
