In my opinion, the story of Inazuma is just one gigantic tragedy. A series of unfortunate events and misunderstandings that blended together into a perfect storm (Pun intended). And at the eye of this storm of tragedy are Ei and Scara, two individuals whose inability to cope with grief and loss would have lasting ramifications on the whole of Inazuma. The death of her beloved sister and the trauma from the Archon War drove Ei to literally cut herself off from the world, leaving Inazuma in the hands of a puppet who would be manipulated by corrupt officials, leading to a civil war that resulted in the loss of countless lives. Meanwhile Scara, the prototype puppet, would be deceived by Dotorre and driven mad by grief and betrayal, causing him to lash out at the world he felt wronged him and leading to the downfall of five famed blacksmith families and who would later join the Fatui and return to Inazuma to facilitate said civil war. Yae handled the whole situation better than the other two and did the best she could given the circumstances. Sadly, it was a tragic case of "too little, too late". So yeah, this was a tragedy all around. Could things have been handled differently, handled better? Maybe. But it is what it is.
to be honest the fatui could have asked yae miko for the electro gnosis and left instead of making the war worse, because ei didn't care about the gnosis at all and they still would have had signora too LOL
@@Cloudgem. fatui probably dont know about the gnosis whereabouts, that's why signora is for the talking with the puppet and eventually ask for the gnosis
Let’s not forget that Dottore also experiments on Scaramouche for years and years because as a puppet he can withstand more pain and destruction than a normal human. Breaking him again and again so bad that being send to the Abyss is actually a respite. Letting the Dottore do excruciatingly painful operations to him again so he could finally get his “heart” and turn into a god takes some determination. No wonder his voiceline if getting hit bad is “I’m used to this.”
This really makes me share Wanderer’s sentiments regarding Nahida making Dottore erase the segments. I wish he’d get the opportunity to personally deal with each one
Exactly, I think we can agree with that lesson. Denying your emotions will just hurt you and others, our emotions is something we can't have full control over.

A little Easter egg I’d like to add, in his demo, the fatui have no recollection of Wanderer. This was before the quest so I wondered why they didn’t recognise him, now it makes sense.
Stopped playing Genshin a while ago but the lore is still as interesting as ever…man Scaramouche has to be one of my fav characters ever. While his story wasn’t perfect, it has to be one of the greatest character developments in Genshin. Glad to see you back mate :D
Perfection! I would only have added that he gave himself the name of Kunikuzushi around the time he decided to take revenge on Inazuma, since a lot of people still thinks it was Ei who gave him that name. There's no reference to a name initially assigned to him, the same way the little boy who died didn't have a name also. I hope him and Kazuha meet soon :)
Kunikuzushi means country destroyer so it makes sense in the past Ei and Miko have a voiceline about him because he literally named himself 'a threat to Inazuma' but now in the new universe he never named himself Kunikuzushi so Ei and Miko never see the importance to even dwell their thoughts on him so yeah Wanderer is not forgotten just not important enough anymore
Your storyline is quite compelling. Though to push the story forward, it must not be forgotten Scaramouche flirts with Lumine by mentioning her “pretty eyes” and holding her hand to determine if she knows if he can change the history of Treyvat or not. Though Scaramouche does not find information in Irmisul, he tells the traveler, the Jester told him their twin lived in Khaenri’ah with the Jester when the he was a royal Madge. He also says he does not know when the twin arrived or left Khaenri’ah. Niheda backs him up by reading his mind and telling the traveler he is not lying. He also says he has meant Lumine before! All pertinent information that drives the story forward for his and lumine’s interaction and brings the timeline into question. Was the Jester the Royal Madge in Khaenri’ah, before the 500 year marker for the downfall of Khaenri’ah and when did he become the Head of the Fatui? Does that mean the Travelers arrived in Khaenri’ah before 500 years ago? It also seems that 500 years is not enough time for everything that has happened in the story line. At any rate the story is only just about half over. All the new countries and characters being added could make this intel a moot point! Then with Scaramouche’s planning vengence on El Docttore, his story is far from over.

Based on the entire summary, plus Genshin's sister/parent story Honkai, Scaramouche's story is a foil/parallel, combination of Yae Sakura (Previous and Current era), Fu Hua, and Raiden Mei (current era) life experiences. The erasure of his own existance using the Irminsul is akin to Fu Hua using Fenghua Down effects to burn away memories, difference is that Scaramouche's actions have a greater effect. The Tatarasuna incident, which involves corruption parallels the time Yae Sakura was caught in the Herrscher of Corruption awakening. Dottore being the mastermind of Tatrasuna incident parallels Raiden Mei's father being framed by Cocolia, resulting in both Scara and Mei's beginning of despair. Wanderer's vision awakening is a nod/parallel of Raiden Mei's complete awakening as the Herrscher of Thunder in chapter 17. Both awakenings involves puppet/automation bosses, connecting to their hidden/alternate selves, someone defending them before their awakening, ending with both Wanderer and Mei defeating the boss with their newly acquired powers.
Another thing about hacking irminsul to delete himself, it also parallels Otto Apocalypse's last attempt to change the past of 5 centuries ago, getting Kallen Kaslana to survive at the cost of his own But unfortunately for scaramouche, his alteration couldn't change the fate of those in tatarasuna, they still died anyway

excellent video as always! i'd like to add that kaedehara yoshinori's letter also slightly changed after the archon quest. now he mentioned that instead of kunikuzushi, the raiden gokaden incident happened because someone with great fighting skill claimed that the ancestors of those bladesmith were responsible for his clan's downfall, and in the end he was killed by remaining samurais while kaedehara and kamisato suffered from injuries. in the end their fate remained the same - kaedehara yoshinori stopped practicing isshin art for the safety of their family, and he and kamisato both agreed to not telling the truth about the incident causing the downfall of both clans.
This quest gave us big informations about the travelers: • Even with access to the Irminsul, normal people can't make changes in the past in large scale, only little changes in some events, that don't affect the timeline flow • Knowing this, we also know that was someone really powerful who put the "abyss twin" in the Irminsul's informations, making it part of Teyvat
12:03 I'd like to note that his personality has also become kinder and more gentle, if somewhat vacant and curious about his surroundings It's likely a hint to his original personality as Kabukimono But interestingly, he has the same "must pay back/interest-based relations" mentality that "Scaramouche" had, just expressed in a better way - and even then that merchant he worked for finds this mannerism weird
Saying Ei set Scara “free to find his own path” is a really biased rainbow way of saying she threw his clueless ass out the door and left him to fend for himself emotionally. Mother of the year.
Thank you so much for this video. Wanderer is the only character that made me stay and I lowkey waited for him to become playable. Thankfully, the wait was worth it. Also, this video really helps other players. So many players were misinterpreting him, especially during the recent story quest. Honestly and respectfully, he isn't redeemed. I've read many players claiming that Hyv forced the redemption arc on him so he can be playable. Once again I repeat, honestly and respectfully, he is not redeemed at least NOT YET. The archon quest says it's an interlude. From that, we were given a hint that it is the start of his journey of atoning for his sins. Trying to fix what he can fix. Basically, Wanderer was given to us so we can witness his road to redeeming himself. Everything about the quest relates to him so much even his decision to erase himself. Remember, Scaramouch was not in a stable mind. I mean, he wasn't at all then suddenly, he was given this load of information about the truth of Tatarasuna; even I will go crazy. So I wasn't surprised when he decided and acted upon it. Only to realize in the end that nobody can change the past. He learns his lessons the fucking hard way again. Personally, I am excited to once again anticipate his next exposure. I bet it's gonna be the same routine as before. Getting excited the moment I see even a tiny part of his hat hahaha. Right now, I'm just happy that we have one less enemy. He claims that he will help us behind the scenes so it's not the end of his story yet.
One thing that leaves me questioned is how the erasing memories work. If the memories of oneself were erased , shouldn't it be that all living beings simply don't remember anything about him without changing the already happened past , but instead the already written manuscripts and records about that particular incidents happened a long time ago were changing too. As if the removal of one's existence actually changes the history and timeline of the world even though the events already happened. Seems like more of changing the timeline rather than simply erasing one's memory. However what makes it weirder is the result of the past events were still the same regardless ( death people still died in the same situation , the broken vase incident). Guess that mysterious voice intended to hint us some unknown concept that we didn't know yet
9:43 And then he hung out with some Inazuman children and dated Yoimiya 🤣 9:50 It's most likely that Dottore - being the person closest to Scaramouche in the Fatui - had already been in cahoots with him from the beginning, and with the doctor knowing the situation in Sumeru, he sees it as a chance to perform his experiment of god creation with Scaramouche and the Gnosis
Someone said that pierro sent scaramouche to investigate the meteorite is to determine if it is the descenders or not, maybe thats when they know traveler is the descenders
I really don’t get the Genshin fandom. He clearly doesn’t see Ei as a mom, and she didn’t see him as a son. And yet that’s all the community says and jokes about when his backstory is clearly more geared to being sad even before he was conscious and then being lost in an unknown world without even knowing why he was created and left. Doesn’t even see Raiden as a sister and was originally meant to be her body.
7:50 I thought he only became a Harbinger (and thus get the name Scaramouche) after he finished several expeditions in the Abyss (and became part of Dottore's experiments)? 8:39 It's *100* years
"All of this could've been avoided if Ei leave a note for when he wake up..." Leaving a note would have not really matter Let her loose change much And Besides As soon as he woke up he was Immediately found by Katsuragi and take to tatarsuna Afterwards And if we were was Living very very happy life there up until A certain shape shifting doctor came in and Ruin all of that
Another detail: The Kabukimono left the Feather with Yae When Yae's helped arrived, and she realized that it was all too late, she returned the Feather to the Kabukimono Yae may be mischievous and a bit self-centered at times, but she isnt cruel.
2:06 The 2nd in command was Vice Armory Officer Miyazaki, Nagamasa as Inspector is lower than that Just that Miyazaki was also gone missing after the incident, leaving Nagamasa with the responsibility
It is more sad if you have Wanderer and read his character story. Dottore is one of the people who raise Kabukimono un the past. After Jester found him, Dottore warmly welcome him and everytime he get broken Dottore the one who tend to him. That must be why Scara accept Dottore help in Sumeru too, he trusted him the most
*Wanderer I also want them to encounter but Kazuha forgot him since Scaramouche erased himself from Irminsul and I want Wanderer to meet Mona, Fischl and Traveler and see what happens except they forgot him except Traveler
Can you make a video of how powerful is wanderer now? I have heard many saying that he is powerful than ever but also heard saying that he is not even powerful than childe. So i'd like to hear ur explanation or theory
Wait.. so Dottore is nearly 500 years old too then. This leads me to wonder how he seems so young when we meet him. Perhaps one of his younger selves murdered the original so they could take his place, I imagine it's the most selfish one.
At 0:21 you said she learns to create from unknown source, it’s not unknown actually, in inazuma archon quest, yae miko said “ don’t forget who taught you how to place your consciousness in an object”
dumb question: if Ei discarded her body and created the puppet Shogun... where is her real body now? I saw some people saying that her consciousness is in the sword so where is the body?
Tbh i still feel very iffy about Scaramouche's transition into the Wanderer. I feel like he should've died at the battle with Traveler and Nahida. This is just my opinion.
Well, can you blame her? She was in fact this obsessive of the concept of eternity because of her grief for Makoto, even if it's causing others to suffer from her actions, as we've seen with the Vision Hunt Decree.
I like how the wanderer become the super hero thingy where he will come to help whenever dangers comes I also got a theory in 3.5 there will be huge event cuz we have archon quest part 2 and there will be nahida traveler and wanderer team up to fight the bosses crisis
Do we have info on this new world's history, I mean if the vacant seat in the Fatui is there for a long time then hasn't there any new potential Fatui harbinger waiting, Also is the new history on what happened after Ei made wanderer, did he just wake up and ended up in sumeru traveling?
Ahhh I missed the part he erase himself from the Irminsul. I keep wondering when did he die, I remember Nahida save him so he didn't die yet. But then wanderer came and said that he is the reincarnation. So what happened to Scaramouche. Now I understand
its kind of funny why the 6th position of the harbingers has always been vacant after scaramouche got erased. i mean, they could just adjust the ranking by promoting 7-11. or are they still calling themselves 11 fatui harbingers when they are only 10? or is it that one of the harbingers isnt affected by irminsul as well and decided to leave the seat vacant as a hint?
The ranks 1-3 are considered to have power that can be compared to the gods. Power needed to fit the ranks from 4-11 is also meassured, thus making it posible that harbingers 7-11 simply don't have enough power ( both in strenght, ability and how much they can help the Tsaritsa in any way possible ) to be considered/ranked number 6 .
Late but yes still created by Ei. It only erased up to before he met the Tatarasuna people so as far as Ei knows, she thinks Scara is still asleep in the pavilion she left him in

It's likely a hint to his original personality as Kabukimono
But interestingly, he has the same "must pay back/interest-based relations" mentality that "Scaramouche" had, just expressed in a better way - and even then that merchant he worked for finds this mannerism weird

My man comeback with a really great topic
He claims that he will help us behind the scenes so it's not the end of his story yet.
greatest genshin content creator of all time
You're so good at retelling stories..
We should just call you Iron Tongue Tian at this point!!
Yay Lore is back
Ah the master has returned 💙 missed you!
It’s about “fate.”
9:43
And then he hung out with some Inazuman children and dated Yoimiya 🤣

It's most likely that Dottore - being the person closest to Scaramouche in the Fatui - had already been in cahoots with him from the beginning, and with the doctor knowing the situation in Sumeru, he sees it as a chance to perform his experiment of god creation with Scaramouche and the Gnosis
wahh finally!! been missing you, so welcome back🥺thank you for the lore content too (esp about wanderer)!
Someone said that pierro sent scaramouche to investigate the meteorite is to determine if it is the descenders or not, maybe thats when they know traveler is the descenders
It's been a long time since you uploaded lore content
I really don’t get the Genshin fandom. He clearly doesn’t see Ei as a mom, and she didn’t see him as a son. And yet that’s all the community says and jokes about when his backstory is clearly more geared to being sad even before he was conscious and then being lost in an unknown world without even knowing why he was created and left. Doesn’t even see Raiden as a sister and was originally meant to be her body.
7:50
I thought he only became a Harbinger (and thus get the name Scaramouche) after he finished several expeditions in the Abyss (and became part of Dottore's experiments)?
8:39
It's *100* years
"All of this could've been avoided if Ei leave a note for when he wake up..."
Leaving a note would have not really matter Let her loose change much
And Besides As soon as he woke up he was
Immediately found by Katsuragi and take to tatarsuna Afterwards And if we were was Living very very happy life there up until A certain shape shifting doctor came in and Ruin all of that
Yeah I was like:
Me: why couldn't at *least* Ei left a note behind or something like that like *why*
Another detail:
The Kabukimono left the Feather with Yae
When Yae's helped arrived, and she realized that it was all too late, she returned the Feather to the Kabukimono
Yae may be mischievous and a bit self-centered at times, but she isnt cruel.
2:06
The 2nd in command was Vice Armory Officer Miyazaki, Nagamasa as Inspector is lower than that
Just that Miyazaki was also gone missing after the incident, leaving Nagamasa with the responsibility
It is more sad if you have Wanderer and read his character story. Dottore is one of the people who raise Kabukimono un the past. After Jester found him, Dottore warmly welcome him and everytime he get broken Dottore the one who tend to him. That must be why Scara accept Dottore help in Sumeru too, he trusted him the most
I want his FATUI outfit to be playable. Period
IKR
Im glad you back
The Genshin Impact History Teacher is Back , Happy New Year , I totally missed your videos.
Seeing your video and Ashokai's video both posted an hour ago made me think you guys collabed or something XD Just a coincidence then lol
Happy New Year, dear Cat
Thank you, I never understood why Katsuragi had to die
Back with this kind of content>< , thank you so much
Woooahhhhh!!! All hail Cat! We missed you!
U explained the lore so much thank you

Childe realizing he hasn't done any work in Inazuma for a long time while being drunk and having his mind go "Space Cat"
I want scaramouche to encounter kazuha👀
*Wanderer
I also want them to encounter but Kazuha forgot him since Scaramouche erased himself from Irminsul and I want Wanderer to meet Mona, Fischl and Traveler and see what happens except they forgot him except Traveler
He sounds like quite the bohemian.
Your videos are so good, thank you for taking the time to collect all that information for us. You're the best!!!
You just cleared everything up!! Thank you!! And also have a happy new year!!
Nice work friend your video is very good
13:02
"Now known as BabyGirl69, he wanders around in Sumeru and promises to help Nahida and the Traveller whenever needed."
Inazuma is like gotham but without the clown
It does make me wonder how Mona, Fishl, and Hanniya would react to him now, and how he would respond
yeah they'd be like:
Wanderer: oh its them again better act idk them
Can you make a video of how powerful is wanderer now? I have heard many saying that he is powerful than ever but also heard saying that he is not even powerful than childe. So i'd like to hear ur explanation or theory
Wait.. so Dottore is nearly 500 years old too then. This leads me to wonder how he seems so young when we meet him. Perhaps one of his younger selves murdered the original so they could take his place, I imagine it's the most selfish one.
At 0:21 you said she learns to create from unknown source, it’s not unknown actually, in inazuma archon quest, yae miko said “ don’t forget who taught you how to place your consciousness in an object”
I wish he can travel with them onto Fontaine.
Great explanation
heyy, welcome back :) i missed your videos so much
Ashikai and Catwithblue hat uploaded the same titled video at the same time (2 hours ago as of this comment) What a coincidence 😂
Wow
Hello fellow Ashikai watcher
dumb question: if Ei discarded her body and created the puppet Shogun... where is her real body now? I saw some people saying that her consciousness is in the sword so where is the body?
Tbh i still feel very iffy about Scaramouche's transition into the Wanderer. I feel like he should've died at the battle with Traveler and Nahida. This is just my opinion.
All of this could've been avoided if Ei leave a note for when he wake up...
THIS
Well, can you blame her? She was in fact this obsessive of the concept of eternity because of her grief for Makoto, even if it's causing others to suffer from her actions, as we've seen with the Vision Hunt Decree.
3:45
Imagine introducing nuclear reactor to Edo-era Japan
Omfg that's was why he was called Wanderer. Gahdamn.
Oh my, what a story
damm this story now complete is so deep!!!!
so what happened to the raiden gokaden and 5 kasen story after scara erased himself ?
I like how the wanderer become the super hero thingy where he will come to help whenever dangers comes
I also got a theory in 3.5 there will be huge event cuz we have archon quest part 2 and there will be nahida traveler and wanderer team up to fight the bosses crisis
Great. the sooner Wanderer gets his revenge on Dottora, the sooner he will meet up with Ei.
I feel like in 3.5 it will be more about Dainsleif and if he was affected by the changes to the irminsul, maybe around 3.7 if possible
@@stevem.9340 maybe because someone just leak about interlude chapter in 3.5
Imagine if we will have brand new Fatui №6 instead of Scara in the future 😳
Looking back you know how interesting the conversation between scaramouche and yae would have been? Another reason im annoyed at inazuma
in gaa kazuha's event story showed the downfall of his family, do we know if scara was directly tied to that?
yes, scara was the one responsible for it.
Now: Hat Guy of Vahumana
I'm waiting for your another channel to upload contents
yeah boi back to the loreeee
I managed to get him in my first ten pull.
I managed to get Qiqi 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I love your content
My Wanderer will be named:
Come further down
I said further down
Almost there
You really wanna see it?
Here it is:
Egg.
hey catto, where've you been this entire time?
Will you post 3.3 most used characters in abyss?
Do we have info on this new world's history, I mean if the vacant seat in the Fatui is there for a long time then hasn't there any new potential Fatui harbinger waiting,
Also is the new history on what happened after Ei made wanderer, did he just wake up and ended up in sumeru traveling?
So in the alternate irminsul data, he still created by Ei or someone else?
Late but yes still created by Ei. It only erased up to before he met the Tatarasuna people so as far as Ei knows, she thinks Scara is still asleep in the pavilion she left him in
cant wait for future story where he will face dottore with traveller.
Great. the sooner Wanderer gets his revenge on Dottora, the sooner he will meet up with Ei.
*Dottore
are you friends with Ashikai?
XD
