The Sawyer Mini Water Filter seems like a must-have for backcountry adventures! Its compact size and practicality make it a great tool to keep your water safe while hiking or camping. Appreciate the concise review - super helpful for anyone planning their outdoor gear!
Before i rode the Idahi BDR, my son gave me one of those squeeze versions. Used it several times. Actually used it at the same spot 2 years in a row on the ride. Yeah the bag goes bad pretty quick. So i swit he it up too and just screw it on a water bottle as you did. You can also do an inline filter with it in one of those metal water bottles with the straw. Just cut the plastic straw enough to install the filter and be slightly off the bottom of the water bottle can things... That way when you come up to a stream to refill your water. Just open the big lid they have. Dip it in the stream, fills up instantly, screw the cap/straw/filter back on and done. I use a yeti thermos water bottle thing. Cuase Dromedary or water bags dont fill up very quick and easy. Just another tip for you. Pkus the yeti keeps water cold for 24 hours. Also keeps ice for 24 hours. Sometimes i hide a beer in it with ice to keep it cold and have at camp.
Hi and thanks for the video. I’ve been using the Sawyer mini for 5 years now and it is for me the best option period. A humble advise you are not asking me, just keep in mind that when you put your mouth on the side the clear water comes through you leave bacterias that can contaminate the filter since they get there to stay. Best regards from a Venezuelan viewer in Panama!
I had a Sawyer Squeeze but no matter what I did I could not get it to filter water in any reasonable period of time. I had to squeeze really hard to force the water through. And no, the filter was not clogged because I barely used it, and regardless I cleaned it by back flushing, etc.
Thanks Tim
✌️🙂
My pleasure!

👍🏻👏🏻
I picked up a couple of Sawyer Squeezes a few years back on your recommendation. Love them.
Nice! Glad you’re happy with them

Sorry to hear that. Mine was a bit tough to filter in the beginning but it definitely got easier.
$55.52 equivalent here in the UK via Amazon! More than double what you’ve paid. Now that part of the Sawyer REALLY sucks! 😂
Oh that’s a lot, sorry to hear that.
Filters, but doesn’t purify ?
Yeah, you would need tablets for that.
