- Ive had this tow chain laying around for some time so I finally decided to do something with it, because my chain axe and car part slingshot were so popular I thought why not merge the two and create the chain slingshot.

Hahahahaha aye mate. Its a old blacksmith technique works a treat especially for rust prevention

@@DiesInEveryFilm I use it as a way to get patina while smithing, it's nice to see other people using it too :)
If you twist the chain link open instead of bending it, easier and you can reuse the link and weld it closed. . Great little project. Never thought of colouring metal like that. Thank you for the video, Onur. Stay safe and stay cool
Its a tow chain mate these links don’t move. I opened two up to reuse but they wouldn’t bend back they sprung back in place thats why i cut and welded in the end. Aye it was a fun one to do.

That brass brush idea was genius. You should try copper next time around.
Its a cool thing to use. Yeh copper would be cool as well, i was going to try copper etch it tbh but chose brass

Interesting design but it would be hard on the hands very quickly.

Very cool. Not knowing a thing about metal work I’m curious as to why with the wire brush it began to change the colour. I get it must of been imparting some of the brush into it , just never seen this before 👍
Cheers mate. Basically the hot steel helps the brass bond to it, blacksmiths use it a lot on stuff they forge

This cool man! If you used a slightly smaller chain and put the bottom ring a tiny bit forward it would probably still be comfortable and be able to index well for the hand. Also if you plan to sell them smaller chain would probably be more cost effective. Awesome build my man!
I just used the chain i had, just for a bit of fun.
Its fully indexable mate the links sit in the hand so its easy peasy.
Won’t be selling them its just an idea i had and thought id film it

Them gold bands are crazy, I barely pull them back and it’s still strong
