- I recently found some rusty rebar in a scrap bin and thought id try making a Gypsy slingshot from it using some Antler and Jute twine, it was real fun to use so watch till the end to see me test it.

Really cool! I think I would have resined the twine wrap, if I were to make something like this. But realistically though, who am I kidding? I don't have the time, motivation, talent, skills, or experience to do something like this. 😂 You rock, keep it up!
Cheers mate, haha I prefer the glue as it dries dull, resin comes out shiny and doesn’t give the vintage look however it would depend what look you wanted.

My blacksmith buddy made some of these with railroad spikes. He Split them down the middle and twisted the ends. Bought one for 12$ from him lol. They're powerful enough to put a hole in someone.

My god man, I know the reason for the grimace while working that stag on the bandsaw and the belt grinder, the smell is freakin brutal. I took your advice and purchased a TS Prof sharpening system, it is truly amazing. My Wicked Edge has been shelved!!!! Beautiful slingshot, you are fairly surgical with it, I think you need to go head to head with Aaron at 6061!!!!!!!!

Because I wanted a smooth finish and tight fit into the antler
Gotta get a tig for these jobs. Cleaner and better penetration. After watching the kinetic axe video, you can definitely benefit from one.
I have one and I prefer mig, the strength is negligible in stuff like this which and the welds are stronger than they would ever need to be

The guy works at the lathe with a long-sleeved blouse, this can only be a joke for the sleeve to get screwed on the lathe costs only your arm!

Sort of defeats the object of a slingshot with it being a tool you can use anything as ammo with
i mean as a kunai.
