- Since my last club build everyone has been asking for a spiked ball mace, in this i tried to make it look like one in some museum pictures i found online but using modern techniques to make it.

You have all been asking for this one for ages and it was good to finally build one that looks medieval but with modern tool processes.
What did you think of the testing?
Thank you
You'll be able to sell your food processor on late night infomercials in no time!
Great work again as always, mate. I love the fact that you appreciate the necessity of making proper ferrules on the lathe, which too many people are either too lazy to do or ignorant of the importance. What'd you use for bluing? I always use raw linseed oil and beeswax to hot blue, but I'm ever curious as to what techniques and methods others use for everything, especially great fabricators like yourself. Thanks for the fantastic content, bro. Be good and be well.
I like how you made the welding dots, it looks like some sort of riveting technique. Testing was wicked as usual, you really could make a side-gig out of all the byproducts of these tests, maybe open a food bar called "Violence Salads" or smth.
@@stevealford230 tbh depending on what im making i use the lathe if i can’t find a good fit like i did today as i had the scrap to use up, i use a variety of stuff to blacken but this has a nice dark finish and is easy to apply plus im out of blo
@@DiesInEveryFilm I'd prefer to use blo, but here in the States they stopped making "real" blo, instead just adding drying chemicals to raw linseed oil, which make it toxic... and it's a little too risky to boil it myself because its flash point is just a few degrees above its boiling point, so I switched to raw linseed oil... at least until I figure out how to safely make my own blo. Oh, and our BS laws allow them to sell the toxic poison labeled as "Boiled Linseed Oil" even though it's not boiled and is full of other chemicals.
Imagine doing that all way back then . Amazing work BTW
That's a handsome piece Onur. I really like the blackened steel, great call on your part. Always good to see your take on historic weapons, I'd like to see more of them and I bet your other subscribers would too.
Thanks mate, I really wanted to keep it as authentic looking as possible and for sure i have a few more ideas in the books that will be up pretty soon
👍👏👏👏
Now that looks fantastic, love how you blackened everything metal, nicely done!
Thanks mate, think it made it look more authentic
I love all your projects. This one's great. I really like how well you're getting at talking to your viewers. Keep it up man. Great job!
Thanks very much, ive actually started adding in more talking as well so hopefully it gets easier
What a power that weapon has, it destroys everything it touches. My congratulations and respect.
Thanks very much
I love that you just have a whole drawer full of giant steal bearings to do this with haha. Another awesome video, glad I found your channel!!
Everyone should have a drawer of balls mate, thank you
That's wicked mate... looks really nice aswell... looking forward to the next one as always...🙌
Thank you brad, watching it back makes me want to go play with it again haha
@@DiesInEveryFilm you should mate... enjoy the small things in life, it makes all the difference... I wish I could still climb trees and build dens... with out being arrested or called a weirdo...😂
Good one, Onur! Came out great! I wouldn't mind making one to carry behind the seat of my truck. Lol!
Thank you so much mate, I really appreciate you always watching
Man, I wish I had access to equipment like that. Looks like so much fun
Was really glad to see you did a mechanical binding rivet to the heft on each end, great build!
Just copied what was in the museum but anything like this would have a connection anyway
@@DiesInEveryFilm oh agreed, however, and I'm not saying you would, but too many people nowadays would only depend on the chemical bond of epoxy to hold... Especially with handle scales and such...
Great work. I look forward to your take on a flanged mace.
Thank you, I already have one up
@@DiesInEveryFilm found it late last night!!
I like the weird weapons you make and the hand action on the shaft tells me you like this too
That hand action isn’t advised on anything too course.
Excellent build, man! The time you spent on the details really showed well. Also, the use of the push stick on the bandsaw made this safety dork happy.
Thanks mate, yeh I always try use a stick cause bandsaws are a bit too unpredictable haha
Great stuff Mr.Pool !! What a mad object of destruction and mayhem !! Luvvin it !! Bash Smash Crash hahhaha !!
Thank you so much mate, I really appreciate it
Great thing! In certain conditions, the thing is very necessary in the household.
Once again, I made sure that your hands are inserted very correctly.
Thank you
Now that’s what im talking about!, sweet, great job!
Thanks so much dude
Man just found the channel, loving the videos just wish you spoke more you have alot to share! I'm from Birmingham but moved to USA 21 years ago so I love hearing the accent reminds me of England my homeland.
Cheers mate, i am putting more in but it has to be a little at a time as ive grown my channel on no speaking at all so need to get all my watchers used to it
Great looking hardware. Good job again as always.
Thanks for watching i have another one coming soon
I took a nice aluminum baseball bat and bolted some threaded rod through it. Works real good. I dont have all those cool tools like you though.
Do what we can, thanks
The chuck key reference had me rolling on the floor😆
Haha stirr them trolls
@@DiesInEveryFilm for sure😂😂
Finally got to watch this video. Being an adult sucks sometimes.
Absolutly LOVED this build.
Thanks man, yeh life is chaos as an adult
You got your own demolition gear. Nice work.
Yeh man
This is as superb as I expected it to be. You sir, keep raising the bar every time.
Wicked thanks man
Nice would like to see spring version! I wish I was close to your shop I would help!
I have a spring version
c'est une masse d'arme and the one with the chain and the spikes fléau d'arme thanks for sharing :)

So now we see his 'O' face. Many a harlot's known that look, I reckon. (Joshin', this is a great show. Keep it up--er, the good work.)
Hahahahaha thanks very much, new video is up now

You are a absolute master with that lathe, you're so delicate and precise!
Thank you, just like to try anything
@@DiesInEveryFilm surprised you are not a teacher for anything you know cause I definitely think you would be successful.
This is amazing work! That ending...HAHAHAHAHAHA...your outtakes are just 2 minutes of saying F**k off...😆
Thank you very much, haha i this was definitely my worst attempt at the ending
A-maze-ing mate ! Looks like fun and painful! Great work 👊
Hahahahaha oh yes, thank you man
Brilliant work. I subbed on merit of the outtakes alone! :)
That’s perfect thank you very much

Real skull crusher👍👍your wood pops🤣🤣🤣 good job Onur👍👍👍👍
Yeh man, got to get that oil deep on the wood
I must warn you, I carry mace.
I wear a sealed full face mask
Awesome build. I think it would have been cool to make the spike holes threaded so you could change the spikes out with other stuff. Still rad as fuuuuuuuuck.
Thank you, this is a replica of one in a museum
You always get a thumbs up when I've viewed your amazing videos.
Great to hear mate, thank you.
New video up today
Dang dude, this was a sick-looking project! I love it! Those flanges around the socket ends look like they were a bit of bother to work out, but it turned out well worth it.
Thanks mate, they weren’t too bad just lots of little bits to do but im glad I added them to it
6:47 why is this so satisfying to watch?
It always is
@@DiesInEveryFilm you're a metal bender now (look up the legend of Kora for that reference)
Cool cool as always! And podcast was great as well, nice to see another veteran!
Thanks man, had a lot of fun recording it
It makes a lovely wedding gift.
Definitely
I am currently in the first steps of material science major. I wish I could learn metallurgy and welding, etc and make maces like that.
It’s definitely something you could learn on the side man, if you ever get free time give it a go
@@DiesInEveryFilm Thank you
@@mhsohn6798 new video is up today you may like

Armorer if the Apocalypse. You're gonna be all set should the world go all 'Mad Max' on us.
Im waiting and prepared for that day
A SMASHING success 👍
Oh yessss, thank you
It certainly would tenderize even the most hard headed cutlets.
That looks like the easiest one to cause damage with so far dude 😁. Love it! In a battle situation, one hit from that upside the head would definitely spoil your day 😂. Lovely finish to the piece as well my man 👉👉👉. 😎
Yeh man these are definitely my favourite weapons by far. Thanks very much
Very good job man,it was very beautiful
Thank you dude I really appreciate it

That boring bar zoom shot though! This thing looks deadly!
Lots of different process in this video it definitely was a long one to film (see what i did there), thank you.
Another work of art from the beef machine himself 🔥🔥!
Thank you very much
Nice one mate, great video 👍🇦🇺
Thanks very much dude
I don't think most medieval foundries had quite your set up, but it's still an awesome build.
They didn’t have any of it but i didn’t say built using medieval tools, it’s a medieval replica
Awesome job man!! Your attention to detail is a beautiful thing to watch.... and you are hilarious to boot...Keep up the great work man!! 👍👍
Now if to find a video of how they did this back in the day without a welder 😁
Thank you very much, when researching these I found some beautiful ones which really made me wonder how they made them back then
Best restoration channel
Thank you
Man I just found your stuff and you do some great work! I love your humor too!
Ah wicked mate thank you very much, new videos up every Saturday
Dude. I'm now absolutely positive you are a machinist by trade.
Unfortunately not im a bladesmith but i like to try my hand at anything especially if it means i can build better stuff
@@DiesInEveryFilm well I gotta say it was convincing with the key in the lathe chuck move. Lol. Love the content and hope you keep having fun.
@@jessejackson7486 just skills i pick up on the way 🤣.
@@DiesInEveryFilm I hear that. I'm a machinist getting into knife making and camera making.

Those spikes really hammer the point of the ball through...home! Ouch.
I don't have the balls to make smth like this. I only have smaller steel balls lying around. 🤓
